Hello, I've got a brand new unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE yesterday and I have a bit of a problem. I have an Orange sim card but can't use it somehow, i have every other network selection (EE, o2, 3 etc) but no Orange selection in settings, and if I pick automatic selection and try to call or anything it says that there is no mobile connection. But on my previous android phone the orange sim card works fine. Any idea why?
Try apn settings.

nah,i mean when it's not the problem with APN, the ones which were set were on EE network (tried to change to Orange, still the same). When i try to call it says: "Mobile network not available". And when i try to search for networks it only finds 2 EE's, o2 - UK, 3 UK and vodafone UK. No orange or t-mobile or anything. And i can see my orange phone number in settings along with voicemail notification (which i can't listen to on this phone)
Didn't orange merge with t mobile to form EE anyway? Can you not use EE?
I know my mates t mobile pay as you go sim switched to EE automatically.

I don't think so, because on my other android phone i can pick orange or t-mobile network and on note II there's non of that and if i pick EE it says "Not registered on network"
Hi there,
i write from Italy where the "3" company has an agreement with another operator: so if I don't have signal from 3 network I can register my phone on "TIM" network in roaming mode.
All my previous phones did this automatically, now i have to do manually: at my girlfriend's house i don't have 3 signal and i must search other operator and register on TIM manually.
When i come out i must re-search operator and register on 3 net otherwise the phone will stay in roaming (previous phones register themeselves when 3 net was detected without my intervention.
I know it's a weird issue but i don't really know how to solve --> someone has any idea?
Hi All,
I have a Canadian T989D from Koodo mobile which I unlocked using unlock code. I took it abroad to Pakistan and after using for 6 months, one day all of a sudden I got NO SERVICE.
Trying to manually select networks, I come across different networks available but clicking on any one of them results in NETWORK REGISTERED sign but still doesn't connect to any network. When I go into the APN settings, I can see different APN settings for the respective sim cards that I put in. E.g. If I put UFONE sim card in, I can see APN settings for UFONE SERVICE PROVIDER.
Here is the twist though. I came back to Canada yesterday and when I put any Canadian Sim in it (FIDO/VIRGIN), it connects to the network without any problems.
Next, I tried T-Mobile sim in the phone. At first few attempts I would receive NO SERVICE/EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY messages. However, just recently I was able to connect to the network by repeatedly changing sim cards and restarting the phone.
So the specific questions to all of you is that "Why can't I connect to ANY network in PAKISTAN when I can see the APN settings for each sim card I put in?" Is there something I can do to fix the issue? I have a running sim card from PAKISTAN with me which I had previously used to connect to the network. Please help/guide me.
Any response will be greatly appreciated.
I'm in Norway. When I ask my Android 4.2 mobile phone to search for mobile networks, I get a list of carriers "Network Norway," "NetCom", "N Telenor." The SIM operator is called "Tele 2 NO," and I can use the first two carriers, but not the third.
Now if I take the same SIM and place it into my Nexus 7, running Android 4.4.2, and ask it to search for networks, I get the list "Tele 2 NO," "Tele 2 NO," and "N Telenor."
It seems that the first Tele 2 NO will actually connect me to NetCom, and the other to Network Norway. But still, it's strange. Also various "Network Info" widgets will tell me that the SIM operator is "Tele 2 NO," which is correct, and the network operator also is "Tele 2 NO," which is rubbish.
