Repeating SMS Alerts for WM2005 ? - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Is there anything like Pocketmax Phone alarm that will work on WM2005 ? I would like to get repeating SMS alerts but the Pocketmax site doesn't say WM2005 is supported until December.
Also if any suggested software had phone profile switching capabilities like PhoneAlarm that would be good.
Cheers

Problems after installing WM5 on my O2 XDA IIs

I followed the steps in http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_WM5_Home. My device seems to work fine except the following problems:
1) when I receive SMS messeange, I can see the entire msg in multiple lines. but I see blank msg if I click the read msg in my inbox (Text Message). I can't create new SMS message neither. Is it due to the missing of SIM Tool kit from WM5?
2) Pocket IE seems to have problems with lots of web pages, except MSN. I am using WiFi for internet connection. Pocket MSN failed to logined.
3) Phone rings after 4-5 rings from the caller. But it vibrates at the 1st ringer if vibrate is enabled. This led to some missed calls because callers think that I am not answering the calls. Does it happen on WM2003 SE?

problem 1 was resolved after I removed the html assosiation from the book reader (CE book 3.5).
problem 2 was resolved - my bad, there was an extra space after hotmail in the login id.
problem 3 was gone magically.
now the only issue I left is trying to add chinese encoding into Pocket IE. It seems that I need a wm2005 wince.nls file with regional settings for chinese. but overwriting the existing wince.nsl with a wm2005 version does not solve the problem -- the orinal wince.nsl file is still in the 32MB ROM, it's loaded when the device reboots. any one has the solution? maybe building new wm5 ROM will do? thanks.

Desperately need help with NOTIFICATIONS (prob. a bug)

Hello I have a M3100 (HTC HERMES) running Windows Mobile 6 Pro
Specs:
CE OS 5.2.1413 (Build 17913.0.3.0)
I really can't understand why every 4/5 days or (maybe) after having installed some program (like spb shell) my notifications for SMS and e-mails disappears.
(1) I tried to look in Settings/Sounds but everything looks fine.
(2) In the registry under the ControlPanel folder the keys look to be ok.
When I receive and SMS or an e-mail I only get the writing "1 Message to read" (or similar) with no sound nor popup nor vibration....
Is there a way to control this notification system? How does it work?
It's really frustrating because I continuosly have to look at the today tab to see if I got a message... grrrr.
The only solution I found to this problem was to hard reset the device
Thanks

TP 2 - Bugs & Fixes Thread

Hi
I thought it would be a good idea to start this thread to report bugs in the TP 2 official ROM so that we may collectively be able to find solutions, and if not, at least bring to attention of HTC to fix in newer builds of their ROMs.
So I request you all to put down bugs you have discovered as also fixes in this thread. I will try my best to collate all into the first post....
Here are the ones I have discovered so far:
ALARM BUG
I set the alarm one day and turned it off the next. But it continues to ring every day at the same time even though the alarm settings show it as off.
EXCESS RAM USAGE
With TF3d 2, messaging, notes and contacts running, the TP 2 shows RAM usage at 81%. Wonder whats taking up so much memory.
DIALER BUG
At times when I am calling, the call status screen does not appear and it continues to show the dialer screen even after the call button has been pressed for a contact.
I am having an issue with downloading emails on my TP2.
Using exactly the same settings as I had on my kaiser (which still works), when I try to send and receive I get "Error synchronising" Cannot connect with current connection settings.
I have ensured my email account is set up identically, and the connection settings to T-Mobile are identical. Anyone else had this issue?
Bluetooth:
When using bluetooth (activesync and headset profile) the pda crashes sometimes. If the screen is on it won't shut down and no interaction with the phone is possible. When it's off it stays off. Funny thing is that the pda keeps working. Phone is runnig when I am called etc.

To answer my own question, this :-

its something to do with their web proxy and only happens when you are connected to certain "bits" of tmobile.
To fix it, go to settings->all settings ->connections->connections->setup my proxy server-> and UNCHECK this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet.

seems to have fixed it....
Sometimes the + caracter of a phonenumber is removed by touchflo3d when sending a textmessage as descriped here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=522535
i have a problem with the alert tones. my tp2 either don't play or plays very softly the first second of any alert, reminder, or ringtones. anyone with the same problem?
I'm finding that when I send texts 1 out of every 3 doesn't get sent.
I get an 'Text cannot be sent' message. It's not my Sim card cause it was fine when I had it in the X1.

So does mine, so perhaps it's a touch flow bug rather than a phone fault.
these have nothing to do with htc touch pro2 itself dude!
it's about the rom you installed in it,so pls return to your technician to get a good rom!
it's like you have super good pc,but the windows xp you installed is crap, then your pc will always get this problem and that......
FYI: rom means: OS(wm 6.5 for example)+Radio(GSM etc)+Extrom(touchflo 3d etc)
SMS Status Report Bug
Hi,
I have a German (O2) htc touch pro 2 with the current original O2 ROM (WM6.1 CE OS 5.2.21048 (Build 21048.1.6.3), ROM: 1.19.207.1 (51489) GER)
My problem is that the phone will not receive or display the SMS status report sent by the provider when the recipient receives the sms.
When writing an SMS, I ensure that under message Options, there is a tick next to: "Request message delivery notification".
I wrote an SMS message to my own number on the TP2 and sent it off. The message promptly arrives, yet no status report from the provider arrives. I have tried this several times to various numbers.
The same SIM card in my XDA Orbit always displays a delivery notification from O2 when the recipient receives an sms. It is not a network problem.
As I have a multicard (more than one SIM card on the same number), I have been able to narrow down the problem as follows.
Messages sent from the phone do generate a status report. I set SMS delivery to my Orbit, and then sent an sms to my own number from the TP2. Both the message and the delivery report arrived on the Orbit.
When I set the network to send SMS messages to my TP2, and then send a message from my orbit, the message itself was delivered to the TP2, but not the status report!
This establishes that the German O2 network is OK, the TP2 can correctly send an SMS and request a Status report from the network. It can also receive normal SMS messages, but not the status report. No sign of it receiving anything, appears to ignore such status reports entirely.
Does anyone have a fix for this, short of flashing a different ROM on it.
I know that a new official WM 6.5 ROM is due to be released for the TP2 (but not so far). I am hoping someone here was a quick fix (missing registry entry, etc.) which can be applied to the current system as I write a lot of text messages and it is useful to know when they have arrived.
Regards
Peter
request delivery notification
i upgraded to the original WM6.5.. when replying to a text message through the new TouchFlo's threaded message look (not the one you get when going in from 'all messages' but the one you get when "clicking" on the message itfelf from the messages tab.), you can go to [Menu] - [Message Option] and there you have the option [reuest delivery notification].
i tick that and say done, send the message and i DO get the delivery notification. however when going back to this same message screen to reply to another message, that option will be unticked again.. i have to tick that option for EVERY single message that i reply to.. as i said sending a message from anywhere else has its own option and is saved correctly and always works..
i googled as much as i could but couldnt find anyone with the same problem :/

O2 pushmail notification sound

Hi!
I just installed the O2 pushmail cab so i can receive pushed mail. So far so good...
But theres one annoying thing: I cant set up any notification sounds for a newly received email in settings > sounds and notifications. I assume that is because of the fact that this whole pushmail thing runs per this cab/prog in the background, ... right? If a new email is received, it only gives out a short beep, the windows sound "default" I guess... which is not nearly as notifying as I would like it to be...
Anyone knows something bout that?
I attached the cab, mybe s/o can have a look into it

TP2 not waking up on SMS (please help)

Hi people,
sorry if this is a nooby question but i'm getting frustrated with my TP2.
I tried searching on the internet but i can't find a solution...
I hope that you guys can help me.
My problem is that my TP2 occasionaly doens't notify me when i get a message, no sound, nothing...
It only notifies me when i turn on my tp with my standby button...
Which can result in messages taking a couple of hours to reach me because i don't turn my phone every 5 minutes.
I have switched off my 3g so it's standard gsm band but that didn't help me
MY tp2 info (i think its fully updated):
It's a TP2 T7373
*OS version: 5.2.21887
*Manila version: 2.5.20121225
*Rom version: 2.07.401.1 WWE
*ROM date : 02/04/10
*Radio version: 4.49.25.91
*Protocolversion: 61.44etc.25.35w
Could some please help me
As far as I know this issue doesnt exist on the tp2 based on the information you provided, I know it existed on 2.1 Manila version and had to work-around it using a reg hac to wake the phone up when a txt msg came thru, but not with 2.5. Got me on this one, but if you want I can give you the reg hack to wake it up and have the screen come on when a txt msg is recieved.
yeah i hate this issue...i keep all my notifications silent and rely on the device "waking up", in order to be notified...
i am using the stock tmo 6.1 rom...i didn't know that there was a fix for this issue on this rom, as angeldeath stated above... ill see if i can find it...
thanks ladies/gents
i bid you piece...

Well it's not a problem for me he doenst show it, the problem is het doesn't make a sound
you are not the only one to have this problem, I also have it. the thing is it is not all the time.. sometimes i got a voice notification for the sms, but many other times nothing happens untill i open the phone when i just hear the tone and see the sms.. !!
this problem appeared only with the manilla 2.5, when i was using 2.1 i never anticipated such problem..
one more thing how can i increase the flashing light for sms notification, because it is only set to 5 minutes and seems uneditable !!
Look for this registry value
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\DisableSMSWakeUpEvent
It should be 1, set it to 0
That will turn the screen on when you get an sms msg. But with the 2.5 I havent had this issue of it not coming thru as I said, I had this issue with the 2.1 manila. Hope it helps you.

24. Enable LED Notification Setting in Sound and Notifications
If you want your LED to flash when you have a new message, missed call or voicemail.. well you can't as it is greyed out. However the following registry entries can be modified to enable them or use the cab at end of post. Reset after changes. Notifcation for Email sadly does not work
