I usually end up bying at least 3 or 4 cases per PDA and I am never completely satisfied.

Been looking for a phone case that has a built in extended life battery built in.....anyone found one?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
i would highly doubt that one would be made, in the grand scheme of things the captivate isnt all that popular of a phone to design an extended battery AND case for the phone. there just isnt the market for it.
batteries sure, the battery can fit in a few more models than just the captivate
and cases, take pennies (or less) to mass-produce, who cares if 3/4s of theme never get sold and thrown out, they made 1000% profits off them.
the i phones, and bbs that have those types of cases are alot more common of a phone, there is only 1 shape iphone (per year), and few standard bb shapes. there are (creeping on) 100 android phones now...
100,000 iphones vs , 500 captivates, which would you make an EXPENCIVE dedicated accessory for?
dont get me wrong i would LOVE one, especially since my otterbox defender case doubles the thickness anyway, i just doubt it will happen.
just so you know i just bought an OFFICIAL oem battery with delivery for under 20$ on ebay. better than a no-name battery in a battery-case......
Since I benefited many many sharings from other folks here before.
TPU S3 Case + Screen Protector + tiny stylus for like only 4 bucks....
I bought a case from the seller for my Note 2 before (now my wife's favorite phone beating iphone 5 yeah!)
I thought this seller's stuff is fine. quick shipping, good service.
So i can recommend. bought a black one for my second hand S3.
check it out here.
This is probably about as cheap as cases come price wise. You'll find this case on eBay and little boutiques probably everywhere you go. Don't spend over 20 bucks for it locally, because you just don't have to. I snagged 10 of these up for practically next to nothing. I will be keeping 1. However....
Once this video hits 1,000 views I'll be sending out 4 cases. The other 5 will go out after 2,000. Just watch and at the end I explain it all.
Also in the video is my explanation of how to fix the buttons. I've had to do this with numerous TPU cases and some counterfeit cases on the market.
I usually go for tough cases (by Case-Mate) when I buy a new phone but this time around there wasn't any available for the phone model I chose (Sony Xperia X Compact). I then started to browse different online shops to see what were the most popular and highly rated cases available. I was surprised to see that even with more expensive phones to which there were more rugged cases available, there were almost always one of these transparent slim under-ten-dollar TPU cases on the Top 3. Like this one by EasyAcc. Well obviously it is expected that a cheap case will sell more than a 30-50 dollar case but the fact that people are buying these for flagship models (and so they obviously can afford more rugged cases with slim profile) is peculiar.
The other thing that caught my eye was that in the reviews of these top-selling TPU cases, there wasn't hardly anyone who reported to have cracked the body or the screen of the phone while using this type of case. The negatives were almost always about discolorization of the case, dust and other particles getting between the case and the phone and poor fit.
What are your experiences or opinions concerning these cases? Do you think (if there is no better option) they protect the phone sufficiently or do you think that in case of an accidental drop they protect very little? Personally I've never had a phone crack or break in any way even though I tend to drop my phone (luckily almost always from relatively low and to wood or plastic floor) roughly once a year (although as I said, I've always used tough cases with two-layer construction). Please, discuss only this type of case (so no recommending flip cases, pouches etc.).
yeah it can protect your phone. I've been using those cheap TPU case in my 2 previous smartphone. I accidentally dropped them a couple of times from 2-3 feet but no damage. If you add tempered glass then you can add more protection. Some people like it naked and then whine when their phone breaks after dropping (like my brother but learned his lesson and now using a zerolemon case). As long as the case is fit, it can protect your phone.
They can protect but it will not absorb the full impact of the drop on the case which is the drawback of these cases. I got a case for my iPhone 7 Plus which is easy to hold and they have a variety of collections which will let you wonder which one to buy. Here's the link for it: https://www.zizowireless.com/collections/iphone-7-plus-phone-cases
Spend the extra money and get a real case. Otterboxes are what typically 30-40$? It's well worth it for the added protection. I have had otterboxes on my last 4 phones and have never broken a single screen or anything. If you consider how much it costs to replace screens on most phones and the extra money you get when you goto sell your phone when its in great condition its well worth it.
I have been using a Zerolemon Zeroshock case on my s3 for a few years and after saving my phone many times the inner plastic shell has broken ( just the front piece ). Does anyone know where I could get a replacement or have one spare I could buy? Any colour would do thanks.

Have had a similar issue, the inner plastic ring on my Zeroshock developed a crack or two. I ended up ordering a couple of spare Zeroshock cases off of Amazon (they always seem to hover around $19.99, never seen it for much cheaper) and use the parts from various cases as needed since the black outer shell is the same across most of the colors. I've seen them on ebay as well. If you really wanna save $$ you can buy a tube of clear epoxy at Home Depot and try to patch it yourself.
Curious, how's your battery life with the Zerolemon these days?

I looked on ebay and amazon all out of stock. The battery is still good I'm getting around 10 hours screen on time which means 2 days usage for me. I'm using the standard zerolemon case which is pretty tough. I also bought an anker 7200mah s3 battery off eBay recently (2nd hand but like new)which performs a little better I just alternate between the 2 every week or so. I couldn't go back to a standard battery now would recommend zerolemon 100%
