Dash Weather

will dash weather work on wm6.1. I don't need the weather showing all the time.
I don't like the way the other weather apps change the clock panel.

its always worked on and off for me whether it was 6 or 6.1 . sometimes it could fetch the weather and sometimes it couldnt...i found no sort of pattern to give me a hint as to what the issue was. the data connection was always established. but one minute the update would work and the next it wouldnt. so i stopped using it. i just use fizz now.

If you don't want homescreen weather, then another good one that always worked good for me is Weather Watcher.

A couple questions to calendar weather integration

I'm using Miri's wm6.5 V12 premium ROM and in the manila calendar there's the weather situation integrated when one goes to the "today" or one of the following days.
Does anyone know where the location for the weather is taken from? My home location in the world clock? Or does it somehow notice if I have in a calendar appointment some other city mentioned?
(well, I could play with this myself now too, wanted just to ask if anyone would have a quick answer ready...)
Secondly... I prefer the manila over the fuggly wm6.5 start menu - haven't tried titanium - but from what I've seen, it would actually e very nice to have on the manila home page the flip clock minimised and then having the calendar weather integrated on the home page - for the locations what I have in the calendar entries....
Does anyone know such a theme that would have this configured?! Even starting always with the minimised clock would be a start.
I wouldn't start hassling around with the manila editor just by me for starters...
Any ideas? I tried to browse the themes people have published here, but none of them had this "weather on the manila home page" idea.

Well, the first question I can then answer immediately myself. Apparently the weather is taken from the location I have in the world clock as "local".
Now the challenge would be to integrate this on the home page.

TouchFlo Weather question

I have grown to love TouchFlo on my TP2. I used to run SPB mobile 3 on my xperia but on my TP2 TouchFlo wins hands down.
My only gripe is the weather app. On SPB mobile 3, the weather app showed a breakdown of the forecast for the day i.e. morning, afternoon, evening and night. I used to find this really useful. ON TF3D, it just shows a general forecast for the whole day with no breakdown. I really miss this function.
I know I could install a 3rd party weather app that might do this but I would really love to incorporate it into the weather tab in TF3D. Is there any way to do this?

That would be a nice feature to have. But I think it's too hard to modify manila to show the weather like that. Or is it??

Cant find my city?

the weather app will not find my city at all, it did last night but after putting generic rom on it i can not get my location for my homescreen clock/weather widget, is there any way to manually add my city? my city is middlesbrough in the uk btw, found it automatically last night?

I don't think you can no.. Mine isn't on the list either so I can't manually add it and when it does auto find it it knows the name but says no weather data available so pretty much useless. Having to use weatherbug instead.. Don't get fancy animations but does the job!

thats just it though last night when i was running the tmobile rom it auto found my exact location and displayed the weather fine, but since i restored to generic rom my location isnt listed and i cant get it! surely it can get it somehow it did on the old tmobile one?

I'm having this problem too. Its just displays my country. I've been in different towns/cities with my Desire and it still displays "Ireland (Current)" Have it almost a week and still hasn't tracked my location, even after several reboots. All other location based apps are fine.
Running generic 1.15.405.4
The weather widget worked fine on my old Hero in the same area and same mobile provider.

I have similar problem. My Desire displays only "Current location" text in place, where should be name of city where I live. I had HTC HD2 before Desire and there was no problem with this. What could be wrong?

I had a similar problem with mine, some times it works fine and other no weather information avaiable. I have also swictched to a different weather app for my home screen

I wish the met office would write an Android weather widget. The Sense one is all well and good but only tells me what the weather is NOW and TOMORROW. I know what the weather is NOW by looking out the window, I need to know the weather in a few hours.

I have the stand htc weather app, i was one of the first to get the htc desire a fair number of weeks ago now, and i have been in birmingham uk for a while, with the weather app on the main screen ( the joint widget with the clock) fine.
However i recently came back to uni in Leicester, and the weather will not download, just say its unavailable. I can add Leicester as a location on he weather and that loads fine, but "under current location" weather tab will not load.
Any suggustions? I hope i explained myself clearly .

This ia a known issue. Try adding your city and then in the widget options pick that city instead of the current location and see if that works. You could also try downloading the Weather Bug app, its accurate and doesn't use as much battery power as the htc widget.

Basically i want to keep the main htc clock, with the weather app joint so when i unlock the phone i get the nice weather animations. However i cant see the htc clock on my widget list anymore so i cant add it or change settings etc..
I can add another seperate weather widget but looks ugly i think.
Hope htc get a fix soon!

A fix,
Just been fiddling about with the phone and found a fix for my problem.
You have to remove the htc clock, then go to add > widgets > clock (htc) > then click the clock with the weather > then you get settings of where you want weather to be from > add city> where you are.
This is ok if i dont move around much, which i do, so i just had to save this as a seperate profile, and i can swop profiles when i move around to make weatehr current location.
simple.
