Magu 2GB SD Card - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Im been looking around for 1&2 GB SD cards for a while.
Came across a very nice looking 2GB Magu card on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7540307831&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1
Great price £68 sterling
Will it work is the big question with my XDAIIS. I dont feel like throwing money down the drain.
Any suggestions, where to buy and what works?

Hi there,
I have bought two 4gb SD from this supplier for my 2 Universal (Xda Exec and Jarjar):

They are cheap, shipped world wide, excellent, full SD cards rather than miniSD and you get a free card reader with it.
I am using BeastyLeo B&L 2.08.01 with one of my Universal and it works great.

Transcend SD 4Gb 150x. Works great.
Does anybody know if there is an SDHC 8Gb, with a speed greater than 100x?

8gb microSDHC card working!

Just received an SanDisk 8gb microSDHC card from Verizon Wireless (of all places - they had it in stock at: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/splash/splash.jsp?v=10 for $129.99). Seems to be working fine. I copied over 7gb of music and I'm now listening to it!
FYI - I'm running the official AT&T WM6 release.
for you what its the diference between use at&t wm6 oficial rom and schamps rom, do you think can i use a SDHC in my cell?

SDHD works perfectly with Schap's rom 4.01 at least
I'm also running Schaps 4.01 and it works great with my 6GB Sandisk micro SDHC card.

My understanding is that the WM6 roms have the ability to use SDHC cards. I'd previously used a 4gb microSDHC card with several different WM6 roms. But I haven't tested the 8gb card with anything other than the AT&T release.
8GB microSDHC available in UK

If you have WM6 & SDHC SUPPORT.
I am using 6G on my X01HT/w Schap's 4.01.
i'm using 4gb on X01HT/w Schap's 4.01.
so is it support SDHC?
Saeba,
Did you have to format this card or could you use it straight out the box?
Secondly can you see/use the whole of the 8gb as one drive or have you had to partition it into smaller chunks?
Thanks
WB
I bought mine from Verizon's in-store shop at Circuit City, works right out of the box on myn HTC TyTN using Starbase 64's rom. Can see all 8GB. One point though was that I had to invest in a SanDisk USB SDHC card reader ($19.95) as my on board SD card reader in my notebook could not see the card to copy my application cab files on to it.
My is working, too

As I remember, it was straight out of the box. I'm using it as a single 8gb drive (7.5 gb in use )! After 2.5 weeks of use, no issues thus far.
BTW - If you try to use the card with your PC - I was told that most PC drives can't handle the larger (over 2gb) SDHC cards. So be careful of that. I had bought a SanDisk 4gb microSDHC drive and it came with a usb reader that I use on my PC. That works fine.
Saeba,
Thanks for the update. All I have to do now is wait for the prices to fall to a reasonable level.

MiniSD HC card for WM6 again

I have been reading various threads about this issue, but I am still unclear what works with which ROM.
So, it would be a good idea for someone to consolidate a list of which ROM can handle HC card.
I have WM6, ROM V3.00.707, ROM date: 06/29/07. I am thinking to buy the Kingston 4G MiniSD HC, will it work for me??? Assuming this works, does it mean I can use 6G or 8G HC card?
i use an 8gb sandisk micro sdhc card (plus a kingston mini sd adaptor) with LIT's latest ROM (which basically is the original dopod ROM translated into german, no additional drivers), so... yeah.
Thanks for your reply. Does anyone else feel the DC card will work for my ROM?
I suppose I can buy the HC card and return it if it does not work.
8gb Sandisk & Faman 4.03
Works fine!
I'm in San Francisco and Seattle, where is a good place to find the best deal for the sandisk 8G SDHC card?

XDA IIS Memory stick problems - 4 GB Micro SD with adapter

Hi all. I'm new on this forum and have recently had my new phone stolen from me. I decided to blow the dust off the XDA IIS and have spent the last few days on here fiddling with it.
I ordered a new 4gb memory card. It is 4GB Micro SD inside a SD adapter. and works perfectly in the PC. I also have an old mi nin SD 512 inside an SD adapter and this works. I 've spent hours reading the forum and can't find a solution. I apologise if this has allready been asked but does anyone have any suggestions?
Its an XDA IIS and I have tried numerous windows installations on the phone with the same result. It is now running WM 6.5.3
Thankyou in avdance...
as a matter of facts, it has been asked dozens of times already. but still:
4gb is the boarderline size for sd cards (sd, mini-sd, micro-sd doesn't matter).
4gb is available as an sd1.0 card (standard sd), and also as sd2.0 card (sdhc). the sdhc standard is not compatible with the blueangel.
or, in layman's terms:
every sd card of 2gb or less capacity works
every sd card of 8gb or more capacity doesn't work
for 4gb cards you have to look out, so you don't accidently buy an sdhc card, kingston and transcend have good standard 4gb cards.
Thanks for your reply. So basically it should work? I tried to make sure I didnt buy SDHC and it doesn't say it on the card. Would you say that the card more than likeley is SDHC?
what brand and model is it?
but afaik all micro sd cards of 4gb are sdhc, there are very few normal size 4 gb sd cards, namely kingston and transcend, but the majority of 4gb cards is sdhc and therefor incompatible.
