I to want develop A2DP software for Magician. Could you please post the information about A2DP programming because I want to know where should I begin.
Thanks,
Ave*
I think the best way is try to study the Xda IIi and Dell X50V`s Bluetooth stack first.
Hi I don't know, if this programm is working on the MDA compact. Normaly it's a programm for Smartphones, but it runs on the MDA compact. I have installed it, but i got no Task-Manager to close a running prozess named cdial.exe. The Name of the programm ist Bluetunes, and her you can download it.

I have ever tried Bluetunes on my Magician but it didn't work. I used to read the information about it and my understanding is this program is for XPhone. It will kill the process named "cdial.exe" and the sound will be transfer from the speaker to the bluetooth headset.
But no "cdial.exe" running on our Magician, am I right?

this program would not work on Magician.
I'd recommend you to look into bluetooth drivers source code and sample applications that are coming with PlatformBuilder 5.0. As far as I remember they contain AG, PAN and HID profiles. Maybe A2DP is also included. It would not be difficult to make these drivers work on Magician as it also uses the MS BT stack.
Thanks so much, mamaich. Now I'm installing Platform Builder on my PC. I'll try it after finish the installation.
you'll need also eVC 4. PB 5.0 by default produces THUMB executables/DLLs that cannot run on our devices. You have to compile everything with eVC.

Hi everyone,
I have just recently switched from Qtek 9100(identical to I-mate K-JAM, 02 mini S and MDA Vario) to Qtek 8310 (identical to I-mate SP5 and O2 Orion). None of the programs I used to work with can install on my new phone. I have heard that maybe you have to emulate touchscreen in order for them to work.
Can somebody help with thi problem?
Thank you
Smartphone OS lacks lots of functions/features that are present on a PocketPC. Not only the touchscreen is missing, search microsoft.com for the complete list of differences. Generally it is impossible to force any complex PocketPC app to work on smartphone. But the reverse process is not difficult - most of smartphone apps can be patched to run on a PocketPC.
recall something about wm2005 being able to run smartphone applications
not sure if wm2005 for smartP's can also do pda applications
there is also the issue of smartphones being much less powerfull then pda's to think about
Maybe there is an option, or.... ?
Thanks guys, as for the hardware specs of the phone they are the same as my previous PDA - CPU is TI OMAP 200Mhz, 64ROM, 128 RAM, I have also inserted 1GB mini SD card and the OS is Windows Mobile 5.0.
If anyone can help with this I am still hoping to find a solution
Hello everyone
After reading a lot of tutorials on how to make OEM packages and testing for a few days, I am now releasing my first OEM Package compilation
Widcomm Bluetooth Stack 0.3 for hermes
Edited from the 0.3 cab file, this is an OEM package that you can cook using Pandora or Hypercore Kitchen. Just simply place it into the OEM folder of your build and give it a try
Link here:
Widcomm Bluetooth Stack for Hermes
please gimme a feedback if it works on your kitchen or not
-
a few things before you include this package in your kitchen/cooking:
1.) it will occupy roughly 8mb of rom space, yes, it is costly, but in return you can have ftp browsing, a2dp, HID input (mouse/keyboard), etc.
2.) I have yet to try removing the original microsoft stack and only cook the widcomm into a rom, but i doubt it would be a problem as it is completely independent.
3.) by default, when your device first boots, it will be turned on. But once you turn it off, it stays off even after you reboot. the status sticks.
4.) make sure you turn off any OBEX bluetooth support and original microsoft a2dp support, as it might cause problems ( you can turn them off in advanced config by Schaps)
5.) Comm Managers can not trigger the on/off for this widcomm stack at the moment, I may try to make an rgu entry to modify this later, if it is possible
leave me any feedback if you have tried cooking this into your rom and runs successfully! i may modify this to make it compatible for Artemis, Prophet, or other devices =)
Credit goes to SuperDave for originally writing the 0.3 Widcomm
Original Post
I forgot to add the shortcuts for WirelessPower.lnk and WirelessPowerConfig.lnk into the Program Menu folder, I guess i will do that later =) too lazy to edit initflashfiles and shortcuts
Re:updated the file with shortcut to turn on bluetooth stack by buttons. by the way, once this is cooked you can use both microsoft stack and widcomm stack (not together at the same time but the stack can be used alternatively without installing/uninstalling the widcomm stack).
Thanks !!!
Thank you for making this available. I am struggling with the Microsoft Bluetooth stack as it it not compatible with Mobile 6. I was forced to downgrade to 5 for about 3 months now.
Do you happen to have an image that already has this stack in it ? if not then I will try to create one today.
Thanks Again !!!!

Widcomm
Microsoft Bluetooth stack is not known to be the most robust implementation of Bluetooth.
Windcomm is in theory a better stack that should give better compatibility experience in general.
The issue it was not packaged for the Hermes and there is an effort underway to make it work.
I tested this version a bit today. it seems to work but I did not have an audio device to test with. I will try later from home.
ok thank you i try this
yeah, this stack is meant to make widcomm drivers to work on hermes.
one thing i forgot to mention, you would need to manually make a BTTrayCE.lnk (shortcut) to %startup% so that it will have a tray icon in your system.
I'll upload a newer OEM package later tonight when i got home
(by the way it's tested to work on all languages).
will this work on the Kaiser also or will it need to be ported for that platform separately?
Cook in?
@Kazuni:
Does the stack need to be cooked in or can it also be installed to an existing configuration? If so, could you please provide a CAB version?
Thanks!
it doesnt need to be cooked in. infact the link i provided in the first post had listed the source for the cab

Click to collapse
it will also work on kaiser, but kaiser roms are not cookable yet, so look for the cab.
Hello,
I' m looking for a mathimatical software for my HTC S620. It's pretty hard to find something for wm5 smartphone edition.
I could't install qdCAS, because it's for ppc the same as TI Emulator.
I've also found some j2me apps jasymca (compatibel to maxima) and FnattLabME (compatbile to Matlab). But I could not get it to run. there is just a blanc screen. other java apps are working just fine, so my java engine isn't messed up. Here's the homepage with the documentation
I tried also MobileMath, but I cant set up the keys properly.
Any help or hint would be great
Hi again,
I've found two programs that are native for windows mobile ppc.
qdcas - a frontend for the well known xcas. the desktop version can also execute texas instruments ti-98 and ti-200 voyage programs, may be the ppc version too. an other (better) frontend for xcas is "math table", but it's not for free. xcas is working on wm5 smartphone (S620), But it has no gui. the input/output works through text files. very unconvinient on smartphone. i believe qdcas is open source.
YacasCE - PPC port from yacas. works whith gnuplotCE and you can switch to xcas as the backend. the gui is better than qdcas, because you can point on the function instead typing the commands. further more it has a console with pocketconsole like MSDOS. it doesn't start on s620 at all. the developer doesnt have time for making a sp editon, but he would give the source code for developing it. unfortunatly I don't have programming skills in c++, eVC, visual studio 2005.
can some one port one of these apps to wm5 sp, please?
regards Joeboy
We all know that with Skype only the rear loudspeaker works for calls. The aim of this project is to try to make the internal front speaker work for voice calls.
I am attempting this as a few years ago I had an Eten M600 PDA which had a software which could switch the call from the rear to the front speaker. And it worked very well.
But that software only worked with a few Eten devices. And it worked with an older version of skype, version 2.0.0.51.
The aim of this project is to investigate and, if possible, try to port the switch utlity to HTC Devices.
Skype version 2.0.0.51 can be found here http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-tools/Fax-Telephony/Skype-for-Pocket-PC.shtml and the switch utlity has been attached with this post.
I can see already that the xml in the CAB file points to a registry value for Eten devices. But there might be a lot more work to be done, including identifying what the Eten M600 has which is different to HTC models.
I have some programming experience (non windows mobile). I need to know how to extract the code from the 000Skype.001 and 00Switch.000 files to get started.
Any help is most appreciated, and hopefully with the expert help from this forum, we can get a good result.
See

for a roundup of ARM disassemblers.
Not to discourage you, but htc and e-ten architecture is different, it's very unlikely that you can gain any information useful for htc from e-ten application.
stepw..many thanks for the advice..Looks very challenging indeed.
The recently released version 2.71 of AgePhone does something similar for HTC devices. That could provide a better starting point. But it is shareware application protected under copyright license. Unless we have permission, we can not proceed.
Hi all out there.
I'm a newbie in this forum, and as such I'm not sure if this is the right place for this inquiry.
Has anybody been successful porting GpsID from C# to VBasic ? I've already done my try but I'm stuck cause my VB version doesn't seem to be raising correctly the events.
Or the VB program using the classes is deaf and can't see the raised events.
Appart from that, the main program works perfectly well in my Blackstone with the C# compiled GpsID.dll, so the problem seems to be in the ported side ... but can't find it.
Is anybody willing to help/test/debug it?
Thanks in advance.
It works !!
Fully working copy of VbGpsID.dll if anyone is interested. Just put the two attached files in any WM6.x smartphone or PDA, and run UseVbGpsID sample program.
It'll tell you if it works for your OEM Gps drivers. If not, let me know.
It has been compiled with VB 2008, for Compact Framework 3.5.
it works...
Thanks, i was looking for this dll for long time....
