Hi.
I have been trying to get this (TomTom 3) working reliably but seem to be having a little problem. Everything seems to be OK apart from the link between the PDA and the bluetooth GPS.
The bluetooth link stays connected, the receiver has locked onto satellites, but the data being collected from the GPS sometimes freezes.
And the strange thing is, I have to move the PDA or GPS slightly to get it to start reading again. I was testing it in my van with distances between the PDA and GPS receiver varying between right next to it, to 1m. Then after a round 5-10minuites I would have to move it slightly the PDA to get any position data.
UPDATE:
I have just been testing it with the GPS receiver upstairs, and my PDA downstairs and all has been OK for 20 mins.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? If this is the problem, where do I put the GPS receiver in the car?
Regards,
Ian Watson

I have had my SX66 since Wednesday. Here are the issues I have found, and if anyone has any suggestions, PLEASE let me know!
1. Bluetooth is really bad. Scratchy, drop connections, says signal is low even when headset (Jabra 250) is right next to the unit. (I have the O2 3500 stack installed)
2. Bluetooth response time for headset answer button is SLOW, as is sending the data to the headset when a call comes in and is answered by headset.
3. When Bluetooth is ON, the phone will turn the display ON at random intervals, killing the battery if the backlight is left in the on mode.
4. WiFi is horrible, drops connections constantly, even in same room with router (Linksys w/5db antennas atached). Also, it will NOT work with a network unless the SSID s broadcast - so much for security!
5. The phone features are SO vastly different than regular phones, it makes you wonder if it is working. My unit will NOT echo the DTMF into the headset (which every phone I have ever owned did) to confirm pressing (for VM retirval, etc.). Very confusing.
6. Answer after x rings is a joke. I have it set to 2 rings, and it will never answer automatically headset or not...what's the point?
I hope someone out there can help, otherwise, I may have to put this baby on eBay...because it really sucks at this point!

Update
Well, I downloaded the O2 update, and that seems to have made a difference in the STABILITY of the BT connection; the unit did not drop my headset at all during the day; further the "response" of the SX66 to a command from the headset seems faster.
Also, since I installed this update, I have NOT seen the screen turn on...perhaps this helped that problem...?
 The BT is STILL scratchy/noisy, but not as bad...perhaps the next round will help...?
I will keep you posted!
I have/had the same issues you are describing. The bluetooth patch 3500-124 fixed almost all my BT issues except the extremely low signal. I tried the HS810, HS820 and the Jabra 250. All were horrible. I even went as far as installing the latest i-mate pda2k ROM 1.22.00 wwe on my sx66. I finally took the advice of a poster on another forum (thanks mswlogo) and purchased a sony hbh-300. So far it has been great. It handles the low signal like a champ and doesnt offer any static or popping.
Need a friggin repeater!
Someone should make a BT repeater...or maybe I should try one of those internal antennas..."as seen on tv!"
I ve installed TomTom3 and a Rikaline GPS 6010 mouse on my XDA but as soon as I start TomTom GPS the system almost freezes and I have to make a soft reset. Can anybody advise me what to do? :?
If bluetooth is switched on and gps is bonded ok then the only time I see this problem is when the tomtom gps program has the wrong settings, it freezes when trying to hook to the wrong port. I have had to remove the tomtom gps and reinstall because of this. It may also do this when bluetooth is switched off when launching the program.
I've got a problem that I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing.
I am running TomTom using a bluetooth gps receiver (instructions found on this site to get the damn thing to work in the first place, much appreciated). When this is all I am doing, everything is great, really fast, smooth. As I do a lot of long journeys, I notice that the position update starts slowing down the further I go, but this is still fine.
When I turn on my headset, I start to get a serious lag between my true position and where TomTom is reporting I am (I know which one to trust though, so I don't turn off the motorway a mile too late  ). The starts slight, but then gets really stupid really quickly, resulting in the map being a mile or more out after a minute or two.
I have scoured this and other sites to see if anyone else is getting this problem and have so far found nothing. I have reverted to using a wire until I can get this solved.
The sound ports through to the headset fine, I can make calls, voice command works (most of the time). The headset is a BlueTrek G2, the GPS receiver I am not sure of as it came with no make or model number from eBay.
Could it be a memory issue? I generally have about 15MB program memory free. TT does drop out every once in a while but not in any pattern, whereas the lag issue always happens as soon as I connect the headset. Could it be the BT devices are operating on the same frequency (I have no idea if this is a rubbish suggestion, just something I thought of)
Does anyone know about this? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I will be tied to my phone while driving.
TIA!

Even though it looksl ike no one is looking at this I found another topic for this question.

Cheers anyway!
I've run into an issue with BT, I think.
I have a BT based home phone setup from Panasonic. My cell connects to the home phone system via BT, and when I get a call on the cell the home phones ring, and I can answer it either from the cell phone or the home phone handset. Very convenient.
I also have BT in my car. When I get in the car and turn it on, the car requests a BT connection, and the phone connects to the car, but only for a fraction of a second. Then it immediately drops that connection, and reconnects to the home phone. My Samsung doesn't do that. Once it connects to the car, it stays connected to the car.
So with my old phone, I could walk out of the house, start the car, and be connected to the car's BT system. With the LG, I end up not connected to the car. Had I noticed this problem sooner, I think I would have returned the phone. Anyone have any thoughts on how to solve this?
I really do like this phone, but there sure are a lot of little bugs in the software that LG doesn't seem to be doing anything about.
Hi,
i have several issues with my HTC and was wondering if you could help.
1. GPS - I've recently replaced the screen. did it myself. after putting all back together, GPS stopped working. i'm assuming something isn't connected correctly, or i'm covering one of the grounds connections on the back of the phone. what can i do ? which one of the 5 antennas is the GPS antenna ?
2. Bluetooth - about 80% of the times i'm connecting to BT, and it doesn't matter if it's to my headphones or to the car, BT is connected and media is OK, but the phone won't route via BT. when i'm entering the BT configuration - i see this : (phone audio isn't checked and i can't check the box)
any idea what the problem could be ? photo with the issue is attached.
thanks
