I followed the link from the HTC website for the discounteded version of the full tom tom 6 WE maps and software etc but when I got the software it appears only to be tom tom home and the maps voivces etc no actual application. The app doesn't appear on the available items to install but everything else is? I've hunted through the disk and tried to find the app but can't.
However TomTom now say the software is on the disk but the Orbit is not compatible, any ideas ? How has everyone else managed to install it?
It's really starting to annoy now I was quite happy to pay for this in preference to the copiolt I could have gotten for free...
I own a MDA Compact III including the TomTom DVD with the map of Western Europe. The application TT 6 itself is indeed not on the DVD. My package also contained a micro SD card, on which the application was installed.

Jamie, The HTC 3300 Taster comes with TT6 preloaded I think, which only gives you 1 city map of your choice, maybe the link you are talking about only adds the Full Maps? I think you need to ring TT Customer Services for them to clarify?
I will PM you
Cheers
Nick

Find that very hard to believe, to be honest. My P3300 works a treat and I'm quite sure the Orbit will too, but I'll know more after Christmas when I get back to work and start playing with the one in my desk drawer...
Don't believe everything the experts tell you... ;-)

Install Tom Tom 5
Hi i have just purschased a MDA Compact 3 and wondered if anybody could tell me how to install it through Active Sync. At the moment it just keeps aborting at set up with a Microsoft Problem (Debug / Don't Send). If not could some one please point in the direction of a decent thread to use.
Many thanks in advance

Install the files to the card using a card reader rather than Active Sync its more reliable and considerably faster - Mike

go to settings/connections then "USb to PC" . Untick the option (advanced functions..)
I've unticked the box but it still keeps coming up with the same error message. I've tried installing it straight to the micro sd card, but it's not recognising the voices or the map of Great Britain. Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers
Daddy
Tomtom 6 MOBILE is only for Nokia/Symbian Phones.
The Version that you should install is Tomtom NAVIGATOR 6!
TomTom Mobile 6?
With version 6 of TomTom, the distinction between the Mobile and Navigator product line is gone. From version 6, the generic name for TomTom on any device apart from the One or Go is Navigator. Hope to have clarified this.

Hello. I'm new here and I need your help. Let's get to the point. Recently i've bought an hp ipaq hw6910 with windows mobile 5. Now I would like to update it to windows mobile 6, and also I would like to use it as a navigation device in my car, therefore I need maps or whatever is needed for the gps to work. I'm from slovenia so I need map of my country, and if available croatia and austria. Like I said i'm a newbie, so please give me clear instructions how to do this, how to do that, give me links, etc... Thank you for your help.
First of all you'll need a proper GPS software.
Install Garmin Mobile XT (or TomTom), latest version is 4.20.50wp.
"Buy" AdriaRoute 2.0 and Europe City Navigator NT 2008.
You can transfer maps on your device with MapSource. It comes with previously mentioned programs.
Pa lep pozdrav!
Hi, I'm looking for a google maps style program which I can actually download a map pack for to use to navigate to places... I don't have gps and I don't want to use the internet, I just want to do a search for a street address.
I live in Australia and was wondering if anyone knew a good program which would suite me?
Thanks heaps
You could always install tomtom with aussie maps as you can browse the maps even if there is no gps signal...
Any reason why you don't wanna use the net? I find its one of the main features of the phone...
well, I do use the net on the phone for some things... but I really just want to store the maps so I don't have to download each time like with google maps.
How do I go about getting tomtom? I think I did actually have tomtom on the phone when I first got it, but it wouldn't start without a gps plugged in.
The maps cost money don't they?
Is there a free alternative at all?
I have the Garmin 10x bluetooth GPS reciever that came with maps, and even does voice tun by turn. I use it when driving. It was 120.00USD, but I believe that you can get oz maps too.

You can also download Navigon from the Microsoft Store if you need a real car navigation and you are not from USA or Canada...
But watchout the maps and the application uses a lot of space and you can not install the maps tou your SD card...
gMaps from the Store uses google maps.. as far as i remember it rotates the map and it is pretty useful as a car navigation...

Nokia Drive extended to more countries it's also called Here Drive now!
http://conversations.nokia.com/2013...ransit-for-other-windows-phone-8-smartphones/
It supports now:
You can download the HERE suite now from the Windows Phone store in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Germany, Italy or Spain (a local SIM card required).
No luck for me with my HTC 8S.The memory is the problem.
