Blue Angel serial port - General Accessories

Does anyone know if there are differences in the serial port between Blue Angel and earlier HTC versions? I have an app that runs well on earlier, even Win SE versions, but not on Blue Angel. Is the pinout different?
Did someone encounter difficulties too?
Thanks

Time to upgrade all over again! I wonder if the Bluetooth issues have been finally resolved in this new version.
Yes, it is obviously made by HTC.

Changeout screen from Wallaby to Himalaya ?

Does anyone know if the screen out of a Wallaby (O2 XDA) is compatible with the one in a Himalaya. I am looking to purchase a Himalaya with a busted touchscreen and pull the screen from my ful functional Wallaby to replace it.
Thanks in Advance folks.

re
Thanks for the link however this is more about swapping between totally different devices not ones from the same manufacturer.
Incidentally I have had a look at switching from an iPAQ 3660 to the wallaby - no good different screen size and different connector.
Hopefully swapping between two older HTC devices would be a little more straight forward.

wm6 software

Sorry if this question has been answered but I'm new to the blue angel. I currently have a tilt upgraded to wm6.1. I really love my phone but I'm going to sell it because I need some cash for fixing my car. I just bought a sx66 from ebay and am planning on using it instead and upgrading it to wm6, prob xplodes roms because he seems to know his junk.
The question I have is when the blue angel is upgraded to wm6 is most wm6 software compatible with it? Am I going to be limited with the programs I can run?
Any help is appreciated thanks
also I've done some reading on "stk" and I'm just curious as to how it interferes with phone service if it is not working properly in one of the 6.1 roms. Is it going to interfere with phone quality and internet use if it doesn't work? Thanks very much for the response. I am waiting to flash until I find out the answer to this question

[Q] LCD pinout

Hi,
I need an LCD pinout description for the Rhodium. Could anybody provide me some information about it?
Thank you
re LCD pinout.
Hi petmix,
did you ever find this info ?
am in a similar situation - I have 2 screens and wanted to hack about with them.
Cheers
Vince
Sorry to necro this thread, but I'm also really interested in this information. I've been trying to find anything about the pinouts on the lcd and keyboard, as I'd like to replace the guts of the phone with an Orange pi to have a modern system with the slide-out keyboard. Does anyone know what part numbers and manufacturers the display/keyboard have?
I found the internal HTC part numbers listed on the parts if this helps:
LCD:
60H00201-00M
I found a manual for the HTC Universal that has an LCD with a similar internal part number (60H00026-00), and it says that it's a SONY ACX526AKM-7. If I can find a datasheet for that LCD, perhaps it has a similar pinout?
Keyboard:
74H01361-00M

[Q] Is it important to match color in firmware-upgrading?

When you upgrade your Nokia lumia 900 for 7.8 via Navifirm, there's several files with different name for same device. For example, Lumia 900-Cyan and Lumia 900-Black.
At this point, what I want to know is the difference between them.
If I have Cyan color Lumia 900, Should I choose the file which is named Cyan?
If I choose the file which is named black, does it bring some trouble?
Finally, if Cyan-lumia 900 should choose the file named Cyan and black to black,
What should I do? if I change the back cover of my Cyan-Lumia 900 to black one.
It is mysterious.
I am not 100% sure of this but I think you have to have the correct code for your device, I installed the Black (059P5N7) seeing as I have a Black 900 which has that code on the sim-tray etc, The other colours have different codes but am unsure as to how this could affect your device if at all.
Personally I don't think it is worth the risk but hopefully someone else could shed some light on this.
Dont think there's any difference as i have the cyan and flashed a rom for the white and black before without any trouble. The Phone just thinks it's changed color....
oh! thx man.

oh, by the way, have you ever seen lumia 900 red? Red one looks cooooool. I want to buy red-housing.
If you know some places which sells red housing for lumia 900, plz let me know them. Of course, onlie-store
The answer is below your reply.
whistler-nl brought the answer!
The color-specific firmwares are a relic from the Symbian era, where the background color of the home screen was often set to match the color of the case - e.g. in the Nokia XpressMusic series.
