Received this case this morning. It's light, protects brilliantly, looks good, is functional in that you can access all buttons answer calls etc while it's cased, and has 2 slots for SD cards. You can even charge/connect GPS cable while cased. All in all pretty pleased and took just 4 days from order to delivery.

hi i had this case for a month now only1 bad thing against it the glass on case scratches easy but iam happy with it
Cant see on the picture, does it have a belt clip?
MDAUser
Yes it does have a detachable belt clip. If you click on the link there are 10 good pictures truly representative of what you get !
How much you paid for the shipping ???
as it comes from the USA...
P&P was $6. Not bad in my view.
I'm interested in this case too, but I have some questions:
1. Does it have a hole for the phone micro? (in the screenshots is not clear)
2. Is reception affected by that kind of metal?
3. Is the close mechanism secure enough? Cannot the PDA slide down to the floor too easily?
4. Can I use the headphones even while cased? (in the screenshots is not clear)
Thanks,
Mr B

Mr B
1. Yes
2. Not that I've noticed, so no
3. Close clips are secure, and it can't slide out open or closed. I can actually hold the case upside down while open with the PDA in it and the side clips hold it in place - not recomended !!!!
4. Haven't actually tried this but almost certainly. The socket is accessible and I think the elbow on the plug would clear the case
(Just been out to the car to get the h/phones and there's no problem.)
I've had my case for some time now - I use and recomend a screen protector on it.
The only minor complaint is that it has a few minor paint scratches - but overall very much worth having.
is it just me or does it look a bit like some sort of a halo helmet ?
Rudegar
A WHAT ??
halo == some game for xbox or something
a halo helmet is the helmet the hero (i'll asume)
is wearing
Rudegar
Halo hemet it is then - but definitely not red !!!!
hello brothers...
maybe just like this...
i hate to know that inno didn't make a magnE for my himalaya...
cheers!
jojo
thanks for the pics: www.filairsoft.com
The girl on the left has definitely joined two cases together to make her helmet - no question. Even the colour's right !
Thanks a lot, Rick GM. Ordering one right now!

Ok i have had this case shortly after they were first available.
I have had the following issues.
The paint is chipping off
Second day I had the case I accidentally dropped it and I broke off one of the plastic clips that hold the case closed. (my SX66 flew out but still worked)
The plastic screen on the unit is heavily scratched (and I am careful)
I stopped using this on my belt as I chipped and scratch it this way.
Reception degraded a little bit but not to bad
I think the clips that hold this thing together could be revised (sent and Email to Innopocket)
the paint chipping off is a bit of a pain (now i have silver marks everywhere)
and they should fix that cheap screen they have on the front.
Would I say buy it. No not yet...wait till they fix the problems (if they fix the problems)
I am now looking at the aluminum case as it looks sturdier (and no plastic clips holding the sides)
My personal choices for best case(s)... PDA2K/SX66/XV6600
I have a few case suggestions I'd like to share. I have found a couple of cases that are exceptional and have been using both since I got my Blue Angel.
This is the second case I've owned from Bellagio Designs and they are of the highest quality I've ever seen. They are somewhat unknown and it's a bit difficult to find a vendor selling below retail price... Those factors notwithstanding, this is an excellent case with steel reinforcement, full access to the keyboard when open and will fit into the sync cradle (with a standard-size battery). When I couldn't find a re-seller with a significant discount, I purchased the case directly from Bellagio.
Check it out here:
http://bellagiodesigns.com/templates/images/pdacases/audiovox/xv6600/flip/animation.swf
My other favorite case is the Otterbox 2600. It is a crush-proof, waterproof case (it even floats) with access to the touch-screen and the keys on the face of the device while in the case (through a plastic screen saver). The case is considered universal and fits a wide variety of PDA's, so test the waterproof quality on a junker if you're unsure... I found the lowest price (believe it or not) for this case at HP's Small/Medium Business site. The price was $45 after shipping, less than the suggested retail ($49.99) and less than I found on eBay.
You can check it out here:
http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product.asp?sku=2520052
These may not be the right cases for your particular needs... I needed a high-quality case to carry on my belt that wouldn't spill my PDA when I least expected and I needed a protective case for the elements I'm occasionally forced to work in. I think that these two cases are exceptional values to protect the money and time I've invested in my PDA.
Cheers to all...
Mick
Uhmmm... the case is like the BA itself
I finally got the case like 45 days ago, and i must say it works as the Blue angel it self...
It arrived and 2 seconds after putting the BA on it the plastic screen was scratched.
The paint chipped off almost on contact to air...
a week ago the belt clip broke
in general it protects the BA and it has withstand several falls and stuff how ever after just a few days of normal wearing it started to look horrible all chipped and silver marks everywhere...
Is like the BA a helluva Idea wich is not fully functional yet... but it works sometimes

Anyone know where I might get a Krussell case for my Exec?
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=127398&asource=119353
Thinking of getting one myself so if anyone has one.... how you finding it?
Yoc81
Thanks, that looks like just what I want. I wonder if it has the credit card slots like my XDA1 case has...can't really tell from those pictures.
At the moment, I can't decide which one to go for, here is my shortlist:
1) http://www.pielframa.com/o2_xda_exec.htm
2) http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=1354&t_mode=des
(more pics: http://www.pdair.com/scripts/main/viewitem_v2.php?itemid=1923&pdaid=190)
3) http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=1353&t_mode=des
Yeah, they're pretty nice, but useless to me without a belt clip.
Both Proporta cases have a belt clip according to their salesman I spoke to on Friday.
Really? In that case the Alu-Leather option is starting to look very interesting...
Heres a review of it with a pic of the belt clip:
http://www.clieuk.co.uk/execbookcase.htm
The only annoyance I can see with this case is that the answer and hangup buttons are covered so you have to open case to answer a call. Not too much of an annoyance.
Unless of course you are using a bluetooth headset. Voice dialing works quite well on the EXEC.
Krussell assure me that they now have stock at their warehouse. Expansys on the other hand put delivery up from 5 days to 7 days last week and haven't changed it since
Concerning the Proporta Alu-Leather Case, I just received an e-mail from Proporta stating that the case does not have a belt clip.
Not sure wot's right.
The review shows a belt clip.....sigh....do I need to spend more money to get a belt clip?
Anyway, the proporta case is already on it's way here....as soon as I get it, I'll confirmed if it was shipped with a belt clip or not.
FYI, I purchased the case from proporta themselves.
it has a belt clip
i already have one
the annoying thing is that when installed (its detachable) it is dificult to use the keyboard because it has to pivot on the belt clip interface.
however its a marvellous case, and highly recommended
I had the Krussel on order for a month with expansys and had a series of ecuses from them and so cancelled and stuck with the Pdair case.....
I have likewise had one on order with Expansys for over a month and have finally cancelled it... still looking for an appropriate alternative.
For those who are looking for Krussel, it is in stock here...:

Ahrrr, from those photos it looks like there is clear plastic over the keyboard, please tell me it isn't so?
How can it be so difficult? All I want it a good quality case, with a cover over the screen and NO PLASTIC COVERING THE KEYBOARD.
Wouldn't happen to be getting rid of your original O2 Executive case then? (see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=36188)

Hi,
I've just received mine from an UK ebay dealer I've used before, fast delivery as usual from them considering it's Christmas.
A very tight fit, clear cover over the keyboard and over the display when it's on the outside (nothing over the display when the device is open). Two straps over the front speakers to press studs on the back. The front flaps free when undone as it's not fixed to the display. I also came complete with the belt clip as usual.
Very well made like all Krussell Cases. It adds very little to the bulk, there is no extra storage for cards.
It's nowhere near as nice as the cases for my XDA2 or IPAQ 3715, but the Exec, with the rotating display must be a nightmare to make a case for.
All in all, a cheap, well made case, that I find far more practical than the supplied slide in case.
Regards
Wooky
So which case is best?
My MDA Pro had a little bit of an accident over Christmas, 4 days after receiving it I put it in my jacket pocket, got in my car, drove to destination, got out, checked phone and the screen had completely cracked. The flimsy shell covering the back of the screen is too exposed to external pressure. Having had to wait almost two weeks to get a replacement I am very interested in the strongest and most practicable case - as well as at a reasonable price.
I'm not bothered about belt clips, SD cards fit nicely in my wallet/pocket/car, I've had aluminium cases before and they tended to slip out of my hand, but I like the strength. Any recommendations?
Just wanted to let people know, who are considering buying a proporta alu-leather case to check carefully what they get sent. I ordered one just before Xmas, and what with Xmas, didn't actually open it until the other day - what I found was quite different to what is shown on their website - basically, the images on their site show it has a keyboard cover, attached to the rest of the case which would allow the screen to close with no undue pressure on the hinge. On the one I was sent, there is no keyboard cover and the leather of case is much more intrusive around the phone, making closing the screen difficult. Needless to say, I phoned them and was told that they get these cases from 2 different suppliers and I was told I would be sent a new one - this arrived today and, marvellous, its the same one again!!! Called them back, and was told that the cases from the other supplier would not actually be back in until next week, and I will be sent one then - one consolation is that they are sending me a screen protector as an apology.
I'm a little incredulous that, not only do they have 2 different suppliers of these cases, that the 2 suppliers make them differently - especially as the images on their website show only one version with multiple images that supposedly allow you to make an informed choice before buying!
Anyway, I now have 2 of the wrong cases that I will be holding Proporta to ransom with until the proper one arrives!
Rant over!
Hey, i had the same problem too ... the case they sent me was totally different from the one on their website. There are a couple of terrible flaws with it. Other than the problem already mentioned, there are other issues such as:
1) IR is completely blocked
2) No speaker holes
3) Backlight button is partially covered
I brought the problems up with proporta and they said they will look into the issues and let me know if they come up with a modified case. They didn't mentioned anything about taking supplies from two suppliers or anything like that. Looks like I'm gonna have to drop them a mail soon. Could you please let me know when you get your case changed ? I wanna get mine exchanged too
The biggest problem with the case however, is that the plastic post that hangs on to the belt clip on my case literally shattered to bits when I applied some pressure to the tip of the belt clip when clipped on to the case. When I brought this up to proporta, they mentioned that they are aware of such issues with their belt clip in a "very very small" number of cases, and they sent me replacement plastic post.
I would highly recommend that you test the plastic post that clips on to the belt clip for strength before putting it to actual use. You wouldn't want it to break while in actual use.
Here are pics of the disaster:

Hmmm....
I also ordered from proporta about a week before the x-mas holidays.
I received the Alu-Leather case as shown on the webpage.
Everything fits (would have prefer that the case have a larger hinge so that it's easier to close) and it's also easy to pull out too - so that I can place my Qtek in the Brodit Active holder in my car.
The belt clip comes with it also and all you need to do is to remove the original screw that is on the back of the case and screw in the one from the belt clip that they sent you. And no....mine didn't shatter.
I hope they take care of the problems both of you are having.
I think its utterly stupid to have 2 suppliers making what is supposed to be the same case to a totally different spec - its not the same case then!
I am less worried about the belt clip - I don't carry my phone on my belt. Although the fact that on the 'proper' case the hole for the clip is blanked off with a screw as opposed to just being a hole will look rather neater!
I will allegedly receive my replacement case next week - I will keep you posted!
christan....
My clip button looks really different from yours.
Mine's flat with just slightly rounded edges.
Harap - harap kau dapat gantian case baru dari proporta!

Captainsensible, any news of your replacement case ? ...
Nope, I will be ringing them soon to find out what is going on!
Just spoken to them, and the 'proper' case has been delayed again! I have withdrawn my order and will be sending the 2 wrong ones back and getting a refund - I am also annoyed that they didn't actually send me the screen protector that they had promised would be sent separately to the replacement case. All in all, a bad experience...
Hi,
Is it just me or are the case manufacturers quite slow at getting out cases for the Artemis?
I would ideally like a Krussell Red Label Classic style case or a Brando with the horizontal flip that covers only the screen.
Was even thinking about trying an iPod Video case as they are about the same size as an Artemis. Would need to modify it a bit but I am sure it would do.
Does anybody have any idea of when more cases will be released? I am not interested in either the current PDair cases or Brando' first case offerings. Also not keen on a Silicone one as they attract to much dust and they done protect the screen.

hi spangelsaregreat,
I know you say you have already rejected the PDair cases... but.. I bought one of GPSforLess (their ebay shop) until I find a suitable silicone case for my orbit and I'm really impressed with it.
The quality of the case and the stitching etc is very good....

I've just ordered a PDair 'book' case for the orbit I'm getting next week - I was wondering if, with the design changes between the Artemis and the Orbit, all the holes line up in the right places?
Cheers and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hi,
As a stopgap I am going to get the PDair vertical flip case. I intend to modify it a bit by cutting it down so that it only covers the screen and not the buttons.
Hopefully Krussel will get there classic case out shortly.

Hi i got my case here guys hope this helps.

Very nice hardcase
Gents,
This weekend I found a shop that sells a aluminum hardcase for the Artemis.
They are called Siemshop and have a shop at Ebay.com.
It comes in 2 different versions: aluminium and black anodised.
Price is approx. 19 USD.
I order a black one yesterday and will post my findings ones I have reveived it.
Lars
I already have one of the cases from Siemshop, I have the brushed aluminium case and it is a near perfect fit apart from there is a slight issue with removing the stylus while the phone is in the case.
I don't see this as much of a problem as I plan to use my dremel to reduce the case in that area to sort the problem.
I believe the case is made by pdair as mine was packaged quite nicely in a pdair box etc. The screen is protected by a plastic screen which can be easily removed if you wished.
So I would recommend if you have had this type of hard case in the past get this one, as you cannot beat it due to it not really increasing the bulk of the device and allowing you to attach it to your belt if you so wish.
Hi,
Been using the PDair vertical flip case for a week now.
Its okay but to be honest it is a pain to use when someone calls you.
I have now ordered a Boxwave case which has the buttons exposed and a horizontal flip which covers the screen only.
Will post some pics when it crosses the Atlantic.
Regards
hello,
@spangelsaregreat
Thanks for the hint this case looks very promising. I'm also looking for an appropriate flip case and the Piel Frama was the only one fitting my needs...but 50 € is a bit too much in my opinion. I'm impatiently looking foreward to your review.
...bye DonQ
No probs, will keep you updated.
Regards
Sorry to mess with the topic, but my question is do you really need the case for this phone/pda ? Its so small, compared to all others pocketpc... The only thing I use in mine is screen protector... besides that I just wear mine in the pocket.
I think the case for this tiny pda (comparing to the competitions) just add to the bulkiness factor....
Hi,
From a personal point of view I don't really trust only a screen protector for the touch screen. I like to know when it is in my pocket it has some extra protection.
Also over the last couple of years (JAM then JAMin) I have dropped my Pocket PCs and the leather cases have done a good job of keeping them dent free.
You pays your money.......

hi Spanglesaregreat,
I am currently using a taiwan make Silicon cover for my P3300, and it is Anti-Dust coated, and it doesnot attract dust at all, and is nice and smooth, thou the finish could be better. Now finally, Boxwave have started making the Silicon Cases and theirs should be of much finer finish quality. suggest u give it a try.
I am quiet impressed with the flipcase that u have ordered, but the only thing for me is that i dont want anything to cover the screen, so can the screen covering portion be removed off for good from the case???
Also, when the screen protection flap is closed down to cover the screen, is the speakerphone on the top open to hear the caller? or do i have to open the flap everytime i want to use the device for phone purpose?
thanks!

I've got a birthday coming soon, so I'm dropping hints to the other half about the Piel Frama or the Krusell, both of which look secure and accessible.
Already posted this in the other thread before I realised this one is probably closer to the target:
Has anyone on their internet travels come across a vertical leather pouch/holster for the Artemis that has a belt clip?
Something like this:
http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wire...roductid=21740
Just want something that can be attached to a belt and the Artemis slid into and out of - not for use in the actual case.
Must be vertical and minimal size (ie designed for the Artemis and no larger).
Hi,
Finally received my BoxWave case today.
Overall it is a good case and pretty much what I expected. I like the back in that it is sculpted to the phone and not just a slab of thick leather. It would have been perfect if they had continued this at the front. Instead it is a thicker bit of leather that the back piece is stiched to. It adds a bit more bulk than is strickly necessary.
The top closure is velcro and does the job. Some may have preferred a magnetic closure here. The flip is functional and it is possible to pull it back behind the phone for putting the phone in cradle for the car.
I have posted some photos below for you to make your own minds up.

In summary it is a compact little case that minimises the bulk of the phone. A change to the front of the case could make it even slimmer if anyone from Boxwave is listening.

My Breffo SpiderPodium arrived today. For those who don't know, it's a flexible 8-legged (hence the name) phone holder which I intended for use in the car. You can pick them up on Amazon or eBay for about £8 for the white or £12 for the black.
I wanted one for use in the car, and since I have a silicone skin for my SGS2 I knew a "proper" fitted mount wouldn't work.
I have to say, I'm quite impressed. It was very easy to bend the legs in such a way that they'd catch on the vent fins, and when the phone's in it's held pretty securely - there's no noticeable wobble or rattle, and I never feel worried that it will come loose. Most importantly it's nice and easy to get the phone in and out - I was worried that I'd have to wrap and unwrap the legs each and every time. Luckily with the leg configuration I've made it's easy enough to pop it in and out without disturbing them.
I think I'm going to pick up another one for use in the office and out and about . . . this one is definitely staying in the car!

Which seller did you use for the Black? Can only see whites on Amazon or eBay.
I got mine from magic-toast-direct, but he seems to be out of stock
You can buy from Breffo themselves at http://www.breffo.com/buy.html (£17.74 including shipping)
Alternatively there's this seller or this seller selling black ones on eBay for £15.95 (search for spider podium with a space rather than all one word).
Can also find clickshop at £13.95, never used them before but a reasonable price . . . .
Ended up ordering the one from Amazon but for delivery to home, a mate did it at the same time but had it sent to work. Turned out it was the black version for him.
Bargain for £8.95
I've got this black one from Amazon for £8.95 and I am amazed with it - such a great idea! Its so easy to mold to any shape for any use you desire, its amazingly grippy and looks very cool - like some organic Giger-esque addition to your phone
For a black one, that's a steal!
A mate suggested getting a white one and seeing how well it would take paint or markers . . .
Wanted one too badly and ordered a white one, I know black will look better, but white will do fine! Might provide a nice contrast ;D
I stupidly bought it off eBay in the heat of the moment, ended up paying £13 D:
It looks like it'll be useful though
Here's mine (no photo with phone in as I was using the phone as the camera)
Spiderpodium by artesea, on Flickr
can any users tell me whether this is suitable for use as a tripod too?
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be - it's rigid enough to not bend out of shape when the phone's held in it.
It is! Its actually one of the reasons I've bought one - easy to hook up on almost anything by adjusting the phone/surface arm distribution & shape
Is surfase of this holder soft like rubber or something? Will it scratch unprotected phone? Thanks for answers!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Its fairly thick grippy rubber shell. I don't think it could scratch the phone, because its not hard and it lacks any kind of sharp edges.
It's soft-touch rubber, I can't see how it would scratch anything. Feels very similar to the back of the Desire if you ever held one.
Is it fixed well enough to the ventilation not to fall when I drive on a bumpy road ? That's my main question about this kind of product :/

Not really fixed well to the ventilation, more wedged through the gaps and gripped on to the dash. Had no problems driving from Lincoln to London and if you've seen the road around here we've not had any repairs since the bad winter.

Mine is well solid - two of the top legs have got their "feet" (about 1cm) bent back almost 180 degrees to form two hooks - I pushed them through the vents past the vent edges, then pulled them back so they're hooked on. It'd be pretty firm with that, but then two of the bottom legs serve to push it up slightly.
If you're driving a jeep properly offroad then you *might* have a problem, but just for potholes and bumpy roads I'd be amazed if it came loose.
Found this thread last week while figuring out what sort of a stand to get. I basically wanted something versatile that I could use mainly to take HDR pictures [requires either a VERY steady hand, or a stand of some description]. I got mine last week and took a bunch of photos over the weekend.
Aside from the awkwardness of bending it into shape at the beginning, it works well enough for my amateur-ish purposes. Recommended if you can pick it up cheaply and just want something to mess around with.
I've searched high and low for a case that suited me and my Note and eventually found a very nice case from Tridea on eBay. I received a couple of days ago and think that it looks and performs great. You can find it by searching on Tridea.Essentially it's a hard bumper in a nice sort of faux suede flip case. I went for the gray version.
It's a bit pricey at £25 and it took a couple of weeks to arrive from South Korea but I've yet to see a case that looks anywhere near as good for the money.
I just bought one too! It should arrive within a week, I got the same color as you did. I'm glad you like it, because it makes me more excited to get mine
I wanted this case more than most others but my number one issue with them all is that very few have a cut out for the ear piece!! not even a notch, i want my face oils off the screen and not have to hold the flap back on a call, simple design i would think, sigh.
I love this case, I bought the grey one as well. I do wish it had a hole for the speaker though.

Hmm, the front flap does fold round the back when using it to make calls and even gives a bit more of a better grip on the phone so I'm not that bothered about it not having a notch for the earpiece.
lamou1nr: As far as a hole for the speaker goes, it's got one but I guess you meant the same as Mrglass86.
I like the case because 1) it looks good 2) it's very light 3) it offers good bumper protection with the addition of a cover for the front that also keeps the screen clean. 4) it feels really nice and solid without adding a load of bulk to the phone.
I don't see the fascination with the aluminium bumpers. They don't look as though they'd offer any protection in a drop.
I like some of the Zenus cases (it was either the Tridea or the Zenus Capsule case) but they're expensive and the diary types just seem like a bit of a gimmick - would you really keep your cash and cards in the same case as your Note? Not me!
Until otterbox or a similar maker comes up with a really tough aluminium case I'm happy to stick with the Tridea.
If you fold it too often it will eventually get loose or have lines along the edge. Another issue with all such book-like case is that we cannot use our thumb to operate the phone anymore.

Just ordered it. I hope it'll arrive sooner than expected.
Anybody bought this kind of Tridea case? Available on eBay for $22.

Wow I dont normally like flip cases but this one looks very nice. Not sure if i'll fork out for one as i've already got cases for it but can you guys post pictures when you get it, i'll get a better idea than from the ebay pics
Just thought I'd follow up on my OP. I've been using this case for almost a couple of months. The phone gets a lot of use by me and is constantly being taken in/out of my pockets. I'm happy to say that the case is holding up well. I think that the 'spine' of the cover would be the first part to go since it's the part that gets the most stress.
After two months the fabric along the spine has been smoothed but doesn't look bad, kind of what you'd expect really, it 'weathered'. There is some very thin rubber edging that runs along the edge of the whole case and this has initially split on the spine hinge area but it has only come off in one tiny section. It's hardly noticeable.
The main thing is that it's protected my Note very well. I don't expect a huge lifespan from it (at least the cover) but the bumper around the note will last. I may utilise a bit of gaffer tape to strengthen the spine and you could do this without spoiling the aesthetic if you do it properly. I may also use some rubber spray that I bought from Amazon which is really useful stuff (it coats whatever you spray in a matt rubber coating). One last thing to mention is that some people were bothered that you couldn't get to the volume controls while the case was shut, well you can press the rocker through the spine without any problem so you can use the volume control even with the Note in your pocket. I'll update this if I notice anything further degradation but all-in-all I like this cover a lot still.
My case has also held up reasonably well. It provides great protection. I too had the rubber on the edge ware off but only on the "hinge" of the cover. The only other part that is showing signs of age is the metallic plastic piece that is on the back, it has a few scuffs and a chip. For a flip case this is one of the best.
