Hello,
I wonder if anyone has any suggestios on how to programmatically re-assign the green, red and the up/down (F6/F7?) keys on the Blue Angel?
I can see programs posted that do that but I need to do it from within a program.
Thanks for the help!

Is there a way to get the hardware keys to light up with the backlight? Sometimes I find it hard to find the buttons in the dark (especially the start button). It would be good if when the backlight came on, the hardware keys also lit up.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
There is a light sensor on the left hand side of the keyboard. I put my finger over it and push a key and then it thinks its dark and turns on keyboard. It will stay on until it times out but will stay on as long as you are typing. You can also set the timeout level for keyboard

I'd like to know how that is done. Running WM6.5 official HTC Rom.
The change in the registry I tried, didn't help, was for WM6.1.
Can you tell how to do it or post a link, maybe? Thanks!
Did some searching without any luck.
My grey HTC Dream (g1) Keyboard black light is basically burnt out. Its showing max 30-50% of the light it should. With the lights off, there is no keys lit-up after the "a" key, going to towards the number keys.
How do i fix this?
thank you.
Hi all. Complete newby here so please bare with me. I have an Xtrons TD626a head unit which I have found out is an MTCB rk3066, 4.4.2
I have managed to install the Malaysk rom and very happy with it but it still hasn't solved my problem, that being the illumination colour of the physical buttons around the screen. I've searched but cannot find a similar problem so let me explain.
Turn head unit on from standby - blue illuminated buttons.
Enter settings - element - choose a different colour and the buttons change to that colour + blue for 2 seconds then revert back to all blue again. For instance, if I pick white, I get white for 2 seconds then back to blue. If I choose red, I get purple for 2 seconds then back to blue. If I choose green, I get cyan for 2 seconds, then back to blue. If I pick blue, I get blue.
If I enter the factory settings (enter 126 then choose other) I can pick R, G, B or RGB. Anything other than RGB removes the element option in the standard settings menu, but regardless of which colour I choose in factory settings, I still only get blue.
If I choose white in the element setting I get as said above white for 2 seconds then back to blue. Then leave settings and go back to main menu and the buttons stay blue. If I then power off having left the element setting as white, when powering down the buttons go white until it switches off. If I then power up the unit the buttons are white until it boots up where they then revert to all blue again. This was the problem before and after the Malaysk root so it's nothing to do with that but it still must be a software issue because the capability to change the led colour is possible briefly. I remeoved the front face and witnessed the led's changing and reverting back.
PLEASE HELP !! all my dash is red orwhich with these awful blue head unit buttons spoiling the view!
