Hi all.
Have tried the explanations made in wiki to secure my Rom.
The problem is when i get to PdaMobiz i just can get the program needed to dump the rom.
So does anyone has it?
In the ftp site, just can't find it.
Btw the name at PdaMobiz for the program is:
rompdate.exe
Went to wiki, went to thread about rom backup onto sd, went to site, tapped on here and would have been able to download a file. I am on my mda so dont know what the name would have been.
Was I on the wrong page?
Hi Mda.
You are not at wrong place either page.
The problem is that XDA ftp site says: no autorization to download, when you click to download.
And at ftp site himself, i just don't know where is the file. Btw every time i went to ftp site, i'm unable to make CDUP... always permission denied.

Has anybody succeded in installing Tomtom 5 om BlueAngel with WM5? I was trying the proposed solution from another post where you should put the .cab files on an SD-card and then installing them from there. The result I get is that the the installation of the first cab file was unsuccessfull, nothing else.
I'm wondering if there is any other (working) way of installing the program, and getting it running with the maps.
Any ideas?
I think that TomTom has to provide an update to support WM5.
This should not be a "WM5 on BA" Problem.
I installed it by copying the files to the sdcard and running then from there, once its running, after the initial setup, I choose a map, then it just exits.

Solution in the WiKi
Can't find the solution. Where should I look? URL please !
I got this problem aswell,
I put the cabs onto my SD card and ran them, they all install fine, then upon running TTN5.1 it goes through the wizard then after i select the voice it bombs out.
Most annoying
I searched all the threads containing tomtom and WM6. I have a legitamate copy of tomtom that came with my german o2 orbit. i just put bepes wm6 on my phone and have been trying to figure out how to get the tomtom program back on it. i looked through all the files and options on my tomtom home and on the cd it came with but nothing other than the option to install the maps (already there) seems to be present. am i retarded? (dont worry I can take an honest answer) or is there no straight forward way to get this back on my phone without changing back to another rom?
Just run the cab file on your memory card. Thats what I did and it worked.
Tried that, I knew I would have some issues with this so I made sure to look everything up before the upgrade. When I try to run any of the files on my card it tells me there is no application to run the software. I am downloading the 'taster version' of tomtom for the 3600 form HTC right now, I will see if that does the trick.

Had the same issue, as alway the forum to the rescue
OK, that worked, now how to get it to show on the today screen...option is not in the today menu option.
I used a borrowed IMEI to get this off of HTC's website.
Anyone want a copy of this?

I grabbed the netwizard out of the Official Dopod extended rom, since it automatically sets up all my mms and gprs settings, but now that i'm not running the Dopod WM6 the program won't run, saying that it's only for dopod..
anyone know how or what needs to be done to make this thing work? "netwizard.zip" contains the net wizard files.. i pulled them out of the cab that's also posted below. It contained a couple more cabs inside of it, but i don't think they had anything to do with the netwizard ( i could be wrong though). so i'll just post it for reference
You also need the dopod certificate as well thats in the ext rom (attached) and that does it for me and running the normal netwizard.
hope that helps
i love you right now! haha.. so there's a bunch of netwizard files in there... am i needing to put some in windows directory etc? or i just run the exe..
*edit* actually nevermind, i got it working.. thanks a million!
Hey,
I am trying to install tomtom on my MDA compact III. Actually, I had it before, and I had to hard reset, and now I forgot how to install it again.
I have the tomtom in the root of my sdcard. I have the 2577 folder with the autorun.exe there. After running it, Im supposed to go and create a new folder on the hard drive, copy something into it, and run the tomtom installationform there. I dont remember what that something is, can someone help me with that?
I was just going through the tomtom threads and they didnt really work for my problem (im not new to this forum).
no one knows??
come one guys, im sure many people did that same trick!!
I know...if you do a search there are like 500 posts in the whole of XDA Developers ...and 175 posts in Artemis returned, related to Tomtom. Surely someone must have an answer!!
I checked like 50 posts believe me, they talk about something I have done alredy! but there is something else im still missing, thats why im turning to a quick answer!
Just install via the CAB file. Its free from the HTC website (as you pay for the maps not the software).
Here you go, copy to your device and run it. You will need to provide your legitimate, licenced maps as its useless without them.

I went to the TomTom website, and logged in with my account deatils and downloaded the latest version, Tomtom PDA software (Through TomTom home).
I had to instal the cab file to the SD card, and reboot, after this it installed with mo probs.
I'm unable to open attachments on the official WM6 rom, i can get them downloaded but if the download finishes the attachment is not there.
Has this to do with the free space on the device?
Where can one change something like that?
Cheers and thanks,
HJ
1) What rom version.
2) how big are the attachments
3) what file types are the attachments
4) how are you getting them? Push? Pop3?
Seriously, need more information before anyone can try to figure out what your problem is.
