Dear All,
Following symptoms can be observed on my brand new OneX:
Music and video files are being played in 'slow-motion' when file is started for a random period (from several seconds to the full lenght of tune/movie) then it comes back to correct speed. This happens only when the internal speaker is used, while it doesn't occure at all with headphones plugged in. Furthermore, when track goes with correct pace on headphones, it changes to the wrong one (slow) when these are disconnected, and opposite happens when I plug them back.
Tried multiple times using standard Music player (on all audio files that came uploaded on the phone), it happens on video files streamed from youtube by either dedicated Youtube app or a web browser (standard - Webkit i guess) , happens with an on-line radio app (TuneIn Radio) that comes preloaded on the phone...
Please also note:
-AFAIK: phone's software is updated to the most recent version available (OTA).
-Phone is NOT rooted nor any potentially harmful software was never run on it.
-I tried (twice already) with factory reset, also clearing all storage data (so there is no preloaded music and pictures anymore...) - no improvements at all.
-Rooting it at this stage is out of concern - as I'm afraid I'll have to cope with some repleacement/repair procedure(s)
Did anyone came across similar issue?
Any bit of advice would be highly apprecieated!
Apologies for such an excessive post.
No issue at all with music playback, tested with Official Rom 1.29.401.7, bootloader unlocked & CWM Recovery.
I can't test with video, since I switched yesterday to ARHD.
Hi everybody.
I am overal satisfied with this phone, but I am facing two problems:
First issue is, when I am playing music via bluetooth to my BT reciever, I am not able to browse internet, because WIFI always crashes, after some time it connect again and disconect after while. Its impossible to play music and for example download application from GP.
It was working fine with my previous phone and with my girlfriends phone.
I am running on Android 4.4.2 and I have N7505
I allready made factory reset and SDHC format and problem still persist.
Does anybody has the same problem, or can anybody simulate this situation and give me feedback?
The second issue is when I´m playing music outside with cord headphones sometimes randomly is music skipping.
It seems like phone has not enough RAM or I dont know.
No matter what player I use and I have SDHC class10, with no issues with my previous phone.
Interesting thing is, that it never happened indoor on WIFI.
I suggest that it has something to do with celluar data use.
Many thanks for any reply or help.
Hi folks,
New D851 running 20G stock (but rooted).
I paired it with my car (late model Toyota) and as soon as it connects every time I get in and start the car, it starts playing music. Something about LG Life is Good themes. They are in the default Music app.
I don't use my phone to play music, and had never opened the music app before this started. I use the paired audio for streaming apps (This American Life, in the current situation). Anyway, I manually stopped the music and got my TAL streaming. As I was driving along, I got a text message. The car read me the text message (my son found his homework, yea), then reconnected the audio player, and started playing the MUSIC again, not my This American Life.
It has done this repeatedly, even after a reboot.
My prior phone (running stock android 5.1.1) didn't have this problem... it would pick up in whatever app it left off, and wouldn't START playing something if nothing was running already.
How do I stop this aberrant behavior?
FWIW, I deleted all those stock LG songs and the problem "went away" but I'm sure if I put other music in there it will start up again with automatic play.
I haven't tweaked anything in the phone to cause this, and it's the stock ROM, so someone else has got to have seen it... Anybody?

What folder was the music in that you deleted? I have a major issue with bluetooth pairing with my 16 Honda Accord. Bluetooth has stopped occurs over and over when phone and car are trying to connect to eachother. Seems to connect then phone bluetooth drops. Only time it seems to work is when the music app starts automatically. That on happens once in a while, maybe twice in the week that I have had the car. It's really frustrating, but think it has something to do with the automatic start of music.

I believe the music I deleted was simply in the "music" folder ... it was the stock music LG puts there as part of the stock ROM. I don't store music on the phone; my Bluetooth pairing is for phone and streaming various radio shows, so I never put any music into that folder. I'm quite certain if I put my own music there, it would auto-play as well.
I usually leave Bluetooth on (on the phone) all the time, and when I turn on my 2015 Toyota, the phone and audio player (or whatever it's called) pair as soon as the car is finished booting up. (that sounds weird, describing a car as booting). If my car is in Bluetooth audio mode (instead of FM radio for example), nothing much happens now that I've deleted those song. I simply go into my streaming app, start it, and it works.
What I have found, is that that if I get a text while I'm driving and streaming something, if I press the button on the car dash to read the text to me (in the car's soothing feminine voice), after it's done reading it aloud, I have to mess with stuff to get the streaming to pick up again, which sort of defeats the purpose of "hands free." So I pull over, mess around, and get back on the road.
It's possible that the car's defaults are conflicting with the phone's defaults, in a way my prior phone/rom didn't trip over. I will try to sort it out, and report back here.
Would you be willing to start a thread over in the LG G3 main forum (not this T-Mobile one)? I hesitate to cross-post, but maybe a wider audience would help us. I doubt this is a T-mo specific problem.

Downgraded from lollipop to kit kat and bluetooth is no longer dropping. However I did have music start automatically playing as you posted here. I will follow the same steps you outlined to stop that from occurring.
i get it where if i've changed the battery(i use the free charger and extra battery) and get in the car, it'll play my ringtones i downloaded from zedge, unless i've started/paused the music before hand...one thing that's irritating to me is that it'll start track that was playing when i got out of the car over when i get back into the car...so if i'm making a bunch of little trips, i hear the same song, over and over and over and over again, unless i skip to the next track each time
Hi Friends
I'm looking for help to solve the following problems on my Device:
I installed the PowerAmp and Spotify music app 2 years ago because the native Music app seems too simple (it does not have random playback, it does not show covers, ugly skin, etc). Everything worked fine until a few days ago when it happened that after TURN ON the unit all the multimedia apps (DVD, Music, Video, PowerAmp, Spotify) were without sound except the Radio app that worked perfectly.
After doing a review, I determined that by TURNING the unit OFF and then TURNING the unit ON, the sound would return to the other multimedia apps again and work perfect. However after TURNING the unit OFF for a long time the same sound fault will be returned: only the Radio App has Sound
I concluded that the problem could be a SOFWARE PROBLEM, conflict between the Native Multimedia Apps and the Downloaded Multimedia Apps.
I decided to make a "FACTORY RESET" leaving in the unit only the Original Factory Multimedia apps. However, the problem did not disappear only the App Radio has sound when I turn the unit ON. Additionally, the Weather Application now stops and Not working.
Questions:
Any idea how to fix this?
1- I should get the original ROM from the manufacturer and reinstall it to see if it solves the problem
2- Updating with ROM could have solution. Which ROM do you recommend?
Thanks

Recently, my phone's started to randomly shriek with white noise and it scares me silly. I think I've narrowed it down to when bluetooth is enabled and playing music (spotify).
Has anyone ever encountered this issue or could suggest what solutions I can try out? I've rebooted my phone and I don't want to immediately jump to a factory reset quite yet.

I have an AT&T LG G8 running Android 10 (SW ver. G820UM20k.) I've also had this issue for some months now. However, while I have Spotify installed I am almost never using it; the noise occurs anyway.
My usage pattern when it occurs typically involves going between YouTube, Chrome, and Twitter apps, and occasionally other social media apps. Often happens when playing a video or audio in the background, but occasionally get the noise when dead silent in between apps too.
I've noted that if I stop what I'm doing when I hear it and immediately switch the audio path back to the phone (via the notification toggle,) the noise often occurs again but out of the phone speaker after a short time.
Now, I've not experienced any random noises the past couple of weeks, but haven't found a definite solution either. Searching the internet for "phone random static burst" or "phone making loud noise randomly" yields similar complaints going back the last few years, across different devices (and presumably Android versions.) Disabling/ force stopping Chrome was a more popular suggestion that came up, as well as fiddling with the Bluetooth codec in developer options. (I'd also suggest making sure all installed apps are updated, if the bug is indeed related to apps mishandling audio somehow.)
Given the range of system specs with these similar complaints, my hunch is the core issue may have to do with certain Bluetooth stack implementations just having problems in certain scenarios. FWIW I have my Bluetooth currently set to AVRCP 1.6 (Default is 1.4) and audio codec to SBC (Default is System Selection.) In months prior when I had the noise issue, these were set to default. My Bluetooth earbuds (Sony WF-1000XM3) prefer to default to AAC codec but do support SBC; I believe I haven't had the noise since forcing the system codec to be SBC only. If nothing else works, may be worth toggling that setting and hoping it fixes the noise. Good luck.
