I guys, I've tried upgrading my JasJar with Xda_Exec_Upgrade_v1.30.162, using MaUpgradeUt_noID and when update was complete I cannot load my JasJar anymore. I am using hard reset, but when choosing "0" off the boot screen - noting happens and screeen remains black.
Can someone please help me with this issue?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Best regards,
Stazik
Try reflashing it again. If it does not work, try reflashing back to the i-Mate ROM.
Whats the version of your bootloader (the screen with serial at the top changing to usb when plugged into usb)? If it is 0.56 or something else below 0.6 thats an already known problem.
I had similar problems with my O2 upgrade.
Try:
- Turn off USB in ActiveSync
- Hold Power/Light and press reset button
- Run the upgrade again
Thank you very much for help and support, guys!
When I try flashing my JasJar with Bootloader update or JASJAR_WWE_13076_164_10900_wwe_ship I get the same error message: Error 101 Connection Error. And also when I disable ActiveSync USB and plug my Jasjar into USB - I get a message from windows saying the device was not recognized...
The only I can get from JasJar is a black screen, except when I press two soft buttons and reset - that gives me a screen with 0 and x to choose. Neither of choices helps thou.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot.
you didnt answer the question re the boot loader number.
when your screen is grey or starting to reset, there are numbers on the screen. what are they.
if it is less that 0.6 your in trouble and assistance is different to if your boot loader is 1.0 or similar.
My screen doesn't change from gray except when I do hard reset. And then I hit two buttons and reset, then press 0 the message Clearing now appears and then everything returns to gray again.
How can I tell the version of bootloader in this case?
Thank you in advance!
they are hard to see, if the screen is grey, the numbers are black.
f the screen is blue/coloured, the nmbers are probably red.
Thanks for help guys,
I brought my JasJar for service today, somehow they were able to put older ROM in there. Now I've upgraded bootloader, hopefully newest ROM from i-mate going to fit without problems )
Well I've killed my Jasjar upgrading I was installing the bootloader update. It sat there saying "Checking information on your device" for about 30 minutes after the update started (notes said it would take 10 so I figured something was amiss - disconnected & rebooted my PC.
Now when I turn the Jasjar on I get the USB/Serial screen referred to above and (good news I figure) it has v1.00 at the bottom. How do I fix this?
TIA
Sheesh. I did a search (I know I should have done that first) and found the answer here
Took a while to find a copy of mtty to download, but found that at http://buzzdev.net
Once I'd done the Set 14 0 and tried the boot loader update again it took seconds so something definitely went wrong the first time.
Hi,
- is there any way in WM2006 to change the splash screen? Any tools for it ?
- What's your favo rom, PDAViet Black & Blue 4.7?
- Favorite programs ?
Thanks,

WM5Storage
My absolute favourite tool is WM5Storage. You can use your phone like an USB-Stick and i use it daily...
Are you searching for such a tool ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317726&highlight=Splash+Screen
Cheers

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the reply, the problem is that I always get stuck after running the USPL tool, it goes to 100% then I see the Linux Pinguin screen, then i hear the 'disconnect' sound in vista, the rom flash utility starts, and then error 260 not connected. I suppose the USPL is not finished when the dos screen is finished, without ending the rom upgrade utility?
After the dos screen I also tried to plug out/in the usb cable, on the black screen, and start the rom utility manually to finish the USPL process, but no luck...
I tried the bootflash utility after the pinguin directly, but no luck either.
Searched the forums for likewise problems, but found no real clear solutions. Can anybody help me here?
Thanks in advance,
By the way, coolest bootscreen ever seen with earth
.... try
Have you hard-reset first? - Works great, and offen eliminates a lot of different problems (ore did for me anyway)
just tried and it's working...
to be honest.... i never tried to change the splash screen before, i just found the link about it....
But then i tried right now to change the splash with this tool, i first ran USPL and then when the phone was started again i could
upload my own splash screen with the replacement tool. Everything worked fine... no idea what went wrong on your device...
But i have also a question: is it possible to change the second logo and the windows-starting logo also ? How to do ?
Cheers Peter
Tried to upload the software on my MDA Pro and all of a sudden the screen on the MDA goes blank. I've tried master reset and i press 0 and it says clearing or whatever. Then it goes to the USB/Serial Screen and it reads v1.01 at the bottom. What do I do?
Hi, could you please post some more details? e.g. Which version was originally on the Universal and which version did you flash....
Cheers
Michael
Hi,
You just need to run the Upgrade again. As long as it says USB when you have it connected, no harm is done.
Cheers,

No...There is definately some damage done. Its stuck on the boot load screen Where it says Serial at the top and V1.01 on the bottom. I just got it new in the box untouched and totally screwed it up trying to update the software to "UNI_TMUK_130114_130232_11003_WWE_BL101_Ship" I dont know what the original rom software was at all. It went to the grey screen that it is stuck on now and the power nor reset button works. The letters are still there in black on a grey non lit screen. Master reset (soft keys+rest) brings me to the screen but after i press 0 it says clearing now but goes right back to the serial/v# screen(boot load mode)....thats it...
Look it's not damaged. It boots to the bootloader. So long as it has the bootloader it's COMPLETELY recoverable.
1st thing you need to do is look here.
Scroll to the bottom and use method 2... It's a LOT easier and has saved my bacon many times!.

I have a problem with my Tmobile MDAIII compact.
It dropped on the floor last week, the battery fell out and everything.. and after that it just hangs in the windows bootscreen.
Opened it up to see if there was any visible damage inside, but found nothing.
When I turn it on the screen shows:
IPL 1.12.0001
SPL 1.11.0001
GSM 03.21.90
OS 3.7.0.0
then it gos to the windows mobile splah/bootscreen
I have the PDAviet black and blue v4.0 touch ROM on it..
sof reset doesn;t work, it will just get stuck in the bootscreen again. if you touch a button it lights up the screen and keyboard, but even that stops responding afer a couple of minutes.
a hard reset is not an option right now cause I can't afford to lose my contacts and notes
flashing is not an option for the same reason.
had anyone here got any idea how to get this working again without a hard reset or a new flash..
I read that you can do more harm then good if you just use some commands you find, cause every bootloader has different commands so I carefully tried some MTTY commands in the bootloader, but in the end it didn't do anything. good or bad..
Is there a way to see where it hangs or gets stuck through some output console with MTTY or something? or get the contactlist out of it or the notes..
I SO cannot afford to lose my contacts or the notes in the damned thing. ( yes, I all hear you say " you should've backed up then!!" but hindsight is always 20-20 )
is it bootLOOPING or is it just hanging on the bootscreen?
if it's bootlooping try removing your SD card and then soft resetting
if it's hanging, your guess is as good as mine
It's hanging in that bootscreen/PDAVIET splash, it's not looping.. it just sits there mocking me..
There is no SD card present and no SIM either and if I insert those, it doesn't change a thing about its behaviour, it still hangs..
124 views and no one knows anything? no small clue, no tip, no nothing?
I think it's just broken.
The only option you can try I see is a hard reset. To bad you haven't made a backup or something on your computer. Lesson for the next time, if you contacts and notes are that important, Make a daily backup!!!
A bit after using setcpu, My phone wouldn't respond when I tried to wake it up.
I had it set to ~700 powersaver when screen off and ~800 conservative in normal, but 1.5ghz when plugged in. It was plugged in and when I woke it, the screen wouldn't respond. I got to the homescreen by flipping open the keyboard (to unlock, I have no pattern). I think everything was working except for the touchscreen and soft keys.
Eventually, I pulled the battery, and now it won't boot.
when I turn it on it takes me to the screen with the androids on skateboards and when I push power for the first option it says
"SD Checking...
Loading...[PC10DIAG.zip]"
it takes a long time for it to get the message "No Image!"
then it looks for the .nbh, (not found) and starts looking for more files, none found
any fix? or am I screwed?
I brought it second hand, so no warranties...
BUMP
Help please?
Should I find and download the PC10DIAG.zip and put it on my sdcard?
I kinda need it fixed asap.
Ok, well I saw that I shouldn't flash the PC10DIAG.zip since I'm S-Off, So i tried to flash recovery through fastboot, still couldn't get into recovery, even though it seemed to flash successfully, and no matter how many times I rebooted it or how.
eventually I tried "Fastboot reboot" and the thing started up normally, wtf?
problem solved, but I'd kinda like to know what was wrong just because.
