I have no idea. I don't have my mda pro yet. I've been looking up info and came across the update and figured I'd download it in advance. Good thing I did, since the site has vanished.
I'm sorry I can't be of any use, I hope others will know more.

please confirm if I can use this on my MDA pro.

I got this from the site mentioned at the beginning of the thread. It was an english T-mobile site (official). The file is called tm-uk. The only thing I could find in the file itself was the version 4.1.100.1332 (don't know if that helps). Sorry, that's about it.

It is the shipped version of the ROM ... THE OLDEST ONE !

Where is new Qtek ROM?

OK, today I upgraded to the new O2 ROM and I am very dissappointed indeed.
I would like to upgrade to the much-ballyhoo'ed Qtek ROM, but every link I find for it seems to lead nowhere.
Would someone be kind enough to post a direct link to the Qtek ROM so I can give it a go.

Thanks, but that doesn't work either. I can get to that page, but when I try to download the .exe file it just tells me IE cannot find the page.
Have I got a setting set wrong in my browser or something simple like that?

Do a search for maupgradeut_noid_886.exe that's the one I used, it'll be better to search than me try to remember on here, I would look but haven't got time atm, sorry.
It's not that complicated... I can do it

will new T-Mobile upgrade ruin my unlocked MDA PRO?

I'm a happy user of the MDA PRO.
Thanks to Buzz I was able to remove the SIM-lock.
Now T-Mobile Netherlands offers an upgrade ( UNI_TMNL_130115_130233_11003_WWE_BL101_Ship.exe )
that can be found here:

Has anyone tried this one?
Does pushmail for example finally work?
And more important: will it keep the SIM-unlock intact?

The UK update works. Can't see why the NL one wouldn't.

I updated my MDA PRO with the new UK version, and now my phone DOES NOT WORK at all!!! I've tried reinstalling Roms, and nothing works. I basically have a really expensive door stop now. Upgrading could cause a lot of trouble so beware!!!
If anyone knows how I can fix my phone, please let me know, [I tried mtty util, but nothing seems to work[

Is your battery fully charged? One requirement for ROM upgrading is to have a fully charge battery.

i think it was partially charged. will that make a big difference? well i can't really check now if my bat is chasrged or not because the only thing that will work is bottloader. It really sucks dude.

If you have a friend with another Universal, ask him or her to charge it for you, then try to install the ORIGINAL ROM made for your device. For example if your device is an O2 Exec, go to O2's web site and download their latest ROM. If your device is an I-Mate, go to I-Mate's web site and download the latest ROM for your particular device. Some Universal owners were able to revive their Universal this way.

well i would have told you how to get the rom if you wouldnt have provided a llink to a very dubious site

ROM for O2 Xda ZINC is it available and where ?
The link supplied is incorreect, below is the correct link for O2.
I have also tried to get the Rom to change my chinese version of Zinc to English version, and the message is I don't need the upgrade.
Any help anyone can offer on where to get the english rom would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice.
Tried that already, the problem is that I need english on my phone, and living in Taiwan, the default is chinese. So anyway, after contacting the service dept, they told me that they regulate the IME numbers to the O/S therefore, you can not download a ROM that was not originaly shipped with the device.
Which really makes things difficult for me. Currently I am trying to negotiate with them to update the O/S themselves at the service centre, and would you believe, they have to get Authority from Head Office to make the change.
I really dont understand, its only a firmware image, and since I already bought the phone why are they worrying about what IME number runs what O/S.
Its beyond me.
So anyway, to anyone who is looking to CHANGE the O/S between languages it seems not that easy to do. Just buy the phone with the right language from the start and things will be much easier.

Well, after spending a total of 2 hours on the phone with O2 Asia, 3 different people the outcome is : "THEY SUCK!"
They have tried to tell me that it is NOT possible to upgrade the ROM image, and if I did change teh ROM image, it would VOID the warranty, what these things have in common is beyond me.
They are full of crap. I will NEVER buy a phone from them again and I strongly suggest to anyone thinking about it that there are many other alternatives out there, forget O2.
They are very polite but very very useless.
Their recommendation was "Return the phone" , and get another make.
So people keep away from these guys! That's my advice.

If I am in you posisition I would not think about the waranty right now.
The most important is to get the rom first then until you encounter a prob. you flash the rom to the original one that come in sales pack.
Thats it.
Don't forget to post here If you have got the rom.
Same with me either if I get it first I will post it here.

have you tried registering on the site????
you should be able to register no matter what language your rom is....
it says within 7 days of purchasing your phone your imei no becomes available for registering

How come some some imei will be imidiately accepted, and some have to wait for 7 days?
Because I use my own imei and they say must wait 7 days, and I use my friend's imei they accept it imidiately and say no upgrade needed.
or maybe you're entering the wrong imei, like me tried more than 10 times. it say enter the right imei or wait for 7 days after purchase.

the IMEI will be accepted once you register it at the website but do keep in mind that the IMEI can be register on the country site only (i think) also as for the new ROM i think they have removed it since i couldn't find it anymore .... well i have uploaded the rom to esnips ... link down

diamond 3 australia rom & radio

didnt particulary want too make a new thread and make clutter.. however i have searched for about half hour now and have had no luck finding a stock Rom for a 3 australia diamond????
is there one available?... strangely enough im actually after one with all the 3 branding on it aswell if possible

New rom is now on HTC website australia. Only thing is that you need a product serial number to download the file. I have a Telstra version and I tried the product serial code and it would not let me download it.
