What do you think of the XDA IIs? Is it better then the XDA II, or original XDA ;-). I can't judge, mine hasn't came yet, I'm still using XDA II.
It has its bugs yes - some more unforgiveable than others (bluetooth bluetooth bluetooth). But overall, I would have paid twice the price for it and I can now not live without it...sad!
R
Coming from the XDA II it would have been nice if they finally got BT to work right, they never fixed it in the XDA II, and it still isn't right in this new unit, a bit of a joke...

Hi
I saw a post on here somewhere (have spent hours but cant find it again) about someone downgrading the XDA IIs back to XDA II.
Just wondering if anyone has done this, does it work, and most importantly can you use XDA manipulator with it?
Thanks
from what i come to understand then that program is only for xda1 not 2
Yes, Manipulator is for xda 1 only, and it works only with certain radio stacks.
hi,i`ve been using the xda lls for a few months.

I like the earbuds that came with the phone, I use them at work all the time. I've gone through a lot of them over the years, and these definitely fit the best out of all the ones I've tries. They seem to stay in better, also. They even sound good, for earbuds. At least until they go through the wash...

I sold my captivate glide earlier, and got a Samsung infuse. I was planning on making a ROM for the Glide but I wont be doing it now. If anyone needs any help developing feel free to PM me. Otherwise, ill be messing with AOSP developing on the Infuse.

The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G comes out tomorrow, thinking about getting one myself. The 5 row keyboard, NFC, plus is compatible with AT&T HSDPA+ are big selling points. I wonder how long before used ones show up on ebay
Yea, the Glide just doesn't have enough for me to keep it.

I got my Relay and the difference from the Glide is like night and day. S4 Snapdragon is fast. I like the keyboard better too. If anyone is from Guam or other countries, I had my phone unlocked and it works beautifully with Docomo Pacific 4g. Fyi.

Well, it has come time for me to replace the phone as I feel the boot loops that I frequently encounter when restarting the phone are likely to cause me trouble.
So I have ordered a S4 Mini LTE at quite a reasonable price, and as thus I bid farewell to you guys!
Thank you again to all the guys who've worked so hard on the ROM and have provided me with the fun and games of flashing and experimenting
I'll try and remember everyone, but I'll probably forget, so here goes!
Bubor, TheGreaterGood, Kick Buttowski, Spyke555, Dman - you've all done great work and it is much appreciated by myself and I'm sure many of the other members on here, even if there are a few 'needy' people
I apologise again if I've missed anyone as I'm sure I have!
So as such... when the phone arrives hopefully by mid next week, I will be bidding you all a farewell and moving on to hopefully greater things. When I discovered Swype I effectively eliminated my desire for a slide-out keyboard, and I don't MUD or do terminal related things on the phone anymore so it's really not a necessity for me anymore. It's funny, I spent years wanting phones with full QWERTY (since at least 2006) and now I guess it's finally run its course for me. It's a pity that the market for QWERTY phones isn't bigger.
So what is going to happen to your captivate glide?

I'll probably do with it what I've done with my old Milestone 2, try and leave it charged all the time so the battery doesn't fail and at least then I'll have a spare phone. The Milestone 2 doesn't work on my current network
I think you gonna be back to a physical keyboard, Swype is good, but it is not the same.

That's exactly the thing, I don't even remember the last time I used the physical keyboard. Maybe if I started playing the gameboy emulator again I'd miss it but probably not for long!
I agree
I find myself hardly ever needing or using the hardware keyboard. SwiftKey works great for me

I've been using quite a variety of non-QWERTY phones but still hates either keypad being either too small or phone being too big, that's why I purchased a Glide just a month ago But sadly, QWERTYs are being pushed to death not only by manufacturers but also by software devs. More and more softwares today lack proper landscape support or will malfunction when doing certain interactions on QWERTY. And I'm in China where almost no one uses a QWERTY even back then, so I can feel this desperately Just wanna fsck Samsung who started all this big screen trend...

Why not? Two glides, both used for testing ROMs, it would be awesome! Besides, who wouldn't want another one?
