DMTF dialler for BA ? Xialer dont work - Recompile anyone ? - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi, I have a BA (O2 XDA IIs) and would like a way of using it to dial contacts on a normal phone by getting the BA to generate DMTF tones.
Ideally, it needs to integrate to the contacts menu so I can select a contact and hit "DMTF dial"
I found an app that purports to do it - Xialer, but it doesn't work. The source code is on the site though so maybe it needs compiling for the BA or something.
Can anyone help ?

bump.
After all this time, still looking for an app that will dial a contact on a regular landline by holding the BA speaker to the house phone's mic.
Please, please someone let my BA learn to speak "DMTF"...

Hi,
still very long now, but if you are still looking for a dialer similar to xdialer look here:

This one works well!

VOICE COMMAND OF ETEN M600: READS SMS???

I saw a review of ETEN M600 in a (italian) magazine: there was a photo showing the wm5-integrated voice command...the problem is: why does my qtek 9000 only have voice speed dial (to call contacts or launch apps) and the lower-class m600 has a full featured program, that can also - as clearly shown in the photo that struck me - read sms (!!), call telephone numbers even if not stored in the contacts database, and many many more interesting actions??
is there a way to extract it and use it on Universal?? I'd really like to have sms read to me (useful while driving), and the radio/bt/wifi turned on and off without having to open it, turn it on and click click click... it takes no more than 10 seconds but sometimes it's annoying!!
any hints about that?? any suggestion??
Isn't this just Voice Command? Why not just install Voice Command to allow you to execute commands like radio on/off etc?

MS voice command 1.5 you mean?? but as far as I remember (It's been a long time since I last used it on my old PDA) it can't read sms or so....
It can if you know how
However, out of the box I don't know if it can.
V
I don't understand...you mean that there's a way to have it reading out loud all my text messages?? oh man that would be great!! are you talking seriously or is it just a technical fantasy?? tell me I'm so curious!!!

Hmm! ;-)
Vijay555, do you mean there's a way to discover some more hidden capabilities in Microsoft Voice Command 1.5 UK?
I really would love to have some more functions in this. Don't see any upgrades coming at moment.
I don't know about hidden capabilities in Voice Command itself.
But there are other ways to make the Phone speak and there are a couple of competing speech engines out there.
I'm currently working on a speech program, VJLoquitur, using Flite and some other stuff.
Anyone going to the Modaco meeting this Saturday? I'll be showing it off there, hopefully.

Good Voicedialer for P3300

Hello all,
I recently upgraded my T-Mobile MDA C3 to WM6 with succes. The only downside to this new WM6 is that I haven't got the original voice dial software that comes with the T-Mobile version. I am now looking for a simple, lightweight voice dial application, where I can record my own voice per contact.
Does anyone know of an application that manages to do this well?
Thanks in advance!
Mee to
.. I agree.. i could also use this
take the voice control of the Eten X500 ROM, You do not need to save your voice for each record, because this software does it without this.
... thanx - but...
Hmm.. yes but thats part of the problem. Because that sounds like the Voice Commander in WM6 - And i don´t find it eays og god.. I actually would like to be abel to just record the voice info i need for each number, just like in my old WM5
Besides i must admit i´m not smart enough to extract it from the ROM, I newer tryid that
I have used a few programs that automatically change my contacts into speech so that I dont have to record my own voice. Im not very font of this method, because it requires english pronaunciation of my contacts' names. As I am from Holland, this just doenst go over so well. Thus I want to record my own voices.
I just want to use it for voice dialing: I'm not interested in starting programs with my voice. Most programs that do this run to slow to quickly dial a contact because they are hogged with features.
Is it possible to extract to voice dial software from the original T-Mobile WM5 rom? Because this software does exactly what I want it to do!

Forwarded call notification/identification

Hello,
I don't know if this is the right place for my question.
I own HTC Hermes and HTC Rhodium and since I have changed to WM devices I noticed that when I get a forwarded call from my office I cannot identify if it's forwarded or not. Searched and shearched google and xda and I can only found a pay program to do it where http://www.xtkit.com/archives/51
Has anyone tried it? Works? Is there any other solution like registry modification?
I really need to know when a call is forwarded to me.
Thanks!

[REQ] Morphing Voice IN CALL

Hello Dev`s from really long time i think about this kind of Application and i don`t know why nobody take it serious and create such a masterpeace
For what im talking about is a Morphing Voice app that is integrated and can work in real time... of course in CALL.
On the Market already is avalible Program like this called Voice Twister, but the program is very buggy also have only few avalible kind of voice and the program can`t work in CALL.
So if anyone create software like this you can imagine how many thousend of users will just NEED IT and will wana use...
Imagine to have a Software witch you can use to call someone and to speak like you are Old men, Litle Child or Women.
The software can be very simple and i can give idea how im imagine this will work.
EXAMPLE:
Befor to make the call you want with Morphing 1st Run the Application, in the Menu will have Settings of the Program and will have Otions to choice the Voice you Want.. there can have something like Simple Equalizer because everyone know that you can change your voice sound by changing the "db" So with this Kind of Options every User is able to make himself Unique kind of Voice to use.. when you already do the Voice you Like you can save it.
After this you just go and Open the Dialer and call someone..
I think is Posible when the Program is Runing on Backround.. when you Speak with someone he or she to hear the Morphed Voice in real time.. or maybe with some small miliseconds delay.
So i hope someone who think like me.. and have the skills can try to create something like this..
Its a Serious Software, and till now i don`t know ANY Mobile Platform to have something similar.
Regards

It is quite possible. There area phones already with that function. (Privileg)
Its a matter of time to get that function on a WM6.
If I knew how to receive data from the Microphone, AND transmit that received data through RIL (or whatever transport may be used for Phone Calls), then I could probably make this app ... but I don't know much of either [in C++ that is]

[Q] Autoreply app like Advanced Call Manager

Anyone could suggest auto-reply app where you could make whitelist for the people accepting calls and the rest auto-answering with SMS?
Used to use Advanced Call Manager on symbian where you could define profiles based on provider station you are currently connected on.Took some time to detect all the cells in home, work, caffe area but it switches profile s automatically later on and at home it accepts family calls but respond all the rest with SMS.
The droid version of this app does not have this functionality anymore and just as an answering machine is in my opinion way too expensive.
Suggestions and experiences welcome.
Thx
Edit:
The closest app I found would be TEXTBACK Geo but it seems unavailable :=(
http://textlogic.com/textback/
bump.
I can not believe no one is using busy self answering app in this board ?
Miui has one where when someone calls you it sends a text with your permission saying Not Available or some other message like that1
Thank you aaasey786 , but not exactly what i am looking. Any other thoughts?
