Jeyo Mobile Companion Error - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Since doing a restore from XBACKUP everytime I try to start jeyo mobile companion there's always this error message appear on my XDA O2 II
"SMS Module Init failed : 0x08004010f".
and I can't access the sms messages? Anyone got any ideas. Jeyo useless...

Doing a restore from anything corrupts the "new improved" Pocket PC Inbox.
Try Sprite Software's "Cleanmail" program.
http://www.spritesoftware.com/downloads/CleanMail.zip
That should delete all your inbox accounts and database stuff so that you can rebuild them. If that doesn't work for getting the SMS messages and Jeyo Mobile Companion back, you'll need a hard reset.

does anyone know what all the files are jeyo installs?
I know of the comman.exe.
Just wondered if removing all of these would help so that it had 2 put clean copies back the next time a connection was made?

Activesync Inbox : ""Unable to remove old data.&qu

My pda2k recently developed a problem (after a restore from a sprite backup). I am unable to sync my outlook email. Whenever I try and activate it in activesync I get the message "Unable to remove old data." I have tried deleting all the mails on the device, reseting it and deleting the files in the messages folder but doesn't seem to help.
I have read somewhere that the only way to fix this is to do a hard reset. Has anybody got any ideas?

Please help, how do i backup my test messages (SMS) ?

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how do i backup all my text messages (on WM2003se) ?(assuming it is possible...)
thanks.
Back up SMS...
Jeyo Mobile Companion works well for me

Messaging program stopped working on WM5

I can not open the messaging program in windows directly or by using the button. Windows does nothing whenever I try. I communicate alot with text messages and email so this is a big problem for me. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Have you recently done a backup with SPB etc. I did this recently and lost all access to my PIMs Had to delete my pim.vol. Bad news.

No I haven't done any backups lately and I don't know what a PIM is. Do i have to re-instsall windows and where can I get a copy of the os? THanks/

GaR. PIM is personal information manager (I think!). If it really is screwed, sync your phone to your computer, backup anything necessary, and hard reset.
hard reset - this will reset everything to factory installation settings, hopefully correcting all problems but wiping everything. So backup anything important. Then run an app that should be on your phone, called ClearStorage. This will wipe it out.
There is another method using hardware keys, but I don't know what phone model you have.

Agghh! No active synch - where are my files?

Hi guys,
My XDA orbit is about to clag up and needs hard reset/ or reformat. I need to backup quickly.. but....
All my active synch will do is allow me to browse the files using explorer, and it will not synch with Outlook 2007 on a new clean pc .
If I cannot synch the vital ones held on the XDA orbit calander, contacts, etc. with Office directly, is there another method?
Can I for example copy 'certain' files from the XDA and put them on the pc and import them into Office?.. or can I do a sprite backup in such a way that I can open upo the files on the pc and import them into Outlook?
Thanks
Ann
ps If I open up Active synch on the XDA i just see the intial blurb " To sybch wth a desktop computer , install acrtivesynch on your computer and then connect this device... etc..etc.."
&
If I open up Active synch on the PC then I find Synchronize and Options greyed out.

Heya,
can you delete the membership in active sync ? I would try to delete the membership and connect again. Which version of ActiveSync you're using ?
When you start ActiveSync on the phone, it's also greyed out and you can't change anything ?
Maybe using PPCPimBackup is a temporarely solution for you - you can backup all your contacts, calendar, tasks etc to your storage card, flash another ROM and restore these things back. Here is a description how to import the PIMBackup file into outlook.
Cheers
Hi,
If I understand you - your intention is to backup your personal informations like contacts, tasks etc. before hard reset (with no possibility to synch with PC)?
In that case you can use PIM Backup (search xda-developers). You can save contacts, phone calls, tasks, appointments on SD card and restore after hard reset.
Sprite Backup also have such a possibility.
Hope this will help you.

Big Problem! Sync with PC deleted all contacts on Phone - How to restore???

Hi everybody.
I really need your help on this!
After a fresh PC install I synced my phone with Outlook via Mobile Device Center.
Problem is, my Outlook addressbook on my PC was almost empty - and now, all my phones contacts have been deleted!!!
And I don't have a backup of the newes contacts.
I know it is possible to restore deleted information on most storage devices.
Does anybody of you guys have experience on how to possible do that on a WM6 device?
Where does WM6 normally store the data? What software could I use to restore deleted Information?
PLEASE HELP.
Thanks a lot,
t.
You might be out of luck, since it probably didn't delete the PIM file. It only deleted records in the table of that file. Have you sync'd with any other computer? MS Live? etc. Your contacts still may be on the other devices.
Otherwise, I think your outta luck. Sorry
Chris
I had this once and i found back my contacts in MSN in the "deleted contacts". If you haven't synced with MSN, i think you better start to look for some new friends

there isnt any data recovery software for windows mobile trust me ive looked there is software to recover simcard info
http://www.datadoctor.biz/sim-card.html
I had the same problem kinda.. were your contacts on your simcard at anypoint?
If so you could always get a simcard data recovery software and usb thumbdrive for simcards. U need to instal the recoverysoftware on your pc and to get you simcard to recognise on your pc thats were the thumbdrive come into play.
This happened to me when I switched to Vista, totally unexplained loss of all contacts. I feel for you man, I was lucky and had most of them backed up on an online service.
thx for all your replies guys - managed to restore most of my older contacts - but the newer ones seem to be lost - dammit.
well, lets move on
I use the PIM backup to backup my contacts/sms's/recently called lists.. I set it to back my things every day and to keep 3 recent backups. I keep my backup files in storage card so if I have to do a hard reset -ill get my contacts etc. back without computer. Thisway I avoided similar problem(just had to restore the backup with PIM backup).
PIM Backup is the best choice. Synchronization with Outlook only is dangerous - have bad experience too...
Hi
Check your deleted items in outlook on your pc. I have sometimes found activesync deletes items from my phone but they go into the outlook deleted items.
Shaks
I recently upgraded from XP to Vista and the same thing happened. I didn't back anything up either. I got lucky though, my old files from xp were saved in a folder called windows.old, went in there and found my .pst file(outlook) and placed it in the vista outlook folder and got everything back...now I backup with PIM Backup daily.
