I brough an O2 XDA2s UK Version via EBay and the everything was find for a few weeks. However, the drop down keyboard has become very loose and will move quiet freely and not stay in place. Is there anything I can do to tighten the keyboard? I've noticed the 2 screws on either side and have a tool that will fit it but I am nervous about opening it up. Is there a HTC repair centre I could send it back to or would O2 repair it?
you could try this m8 http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=83808
only for the brave or stupid though

Re: Loose Keyboard Slide
My Warranty is up today and i-Mate would not respond to any of my pleas for service days before my device's warranty would run out.
I have a loose Keyboard Slider on my PDA2K and wanted to ask any if they had the problem and if they had fixed it their selves.
Would anyone post directions to tighten the Slider?
Do you think i-Mate or anyone else release a original ROm of the WN2005 or will we have to settle with the hacked rom?
Hey Rush I am in the states too, I haven't had it done yet but I contacted the I-Mate facility in Texas give them a call, they gave me a price of $80.00 for a housing replacement and a new battery..... I would call though because they informed me that it may take a bit longer due to everything happening in LA, and TX

Re: Thank You
Thanks for the Address and Phone for HTC. When trying to get service at i-Mate they would not even let loose or show an address or a phone number. I imagine the HTC would have discovered the warranty was not up and honord it.
i-Mate really seemed like a a company that I wanted to do business with but after speaking with their online tech support through a java window, I felt that I was treated as though that I was beneath them.
I did not give them any reason for this but maybe it is the their culture?
Hi,
I have just noticed that I'm missing a screw on my SX66 (top left, near record button).
It's the Tork6 screw, the top-right was loose, but I managed to tighten it a bit for now.
Does anyone have spare or know where I can find one?
I got my Siemens SX66 (Cingular) thru ebay so I don't have service provider that I can call in Canada

If the PH20B1 has the same screw as the PH20B, Then I can send you one. I contacted HTC a year or two ago and an engineer quite kindly send me some screws from there repair depot in Milton Keynes.
Sorry for old topic, but I never received any screw that people said they will send.
Or does anyone know the exact size of it, so I can try to find one?
Sorry my bad, have got a new email and havnt updated XDA dev yet.
Email me your addy to Alexcrouch<AT>gmail.com, and as your in canada we will need to sort something regarding postage............
Hope some one can help. I pulled the pen out of my MDA this mornning and only the buttom half (metal bit) came out does any one know any wat of getting the rest of the pen out?

Just spoke to T-Mobile tey told me thay have to send the phone off to HTC and it might be coverd by the warrenty, if not they will give me a price to fix. Has any one else has any work done by HTC and what are there prices like. The phone is only 3months old so dont want to open it up myself
Try superglue on the end of a pin/needle - we've had to do this loads of times on PDAs and managed to get them out every time!
Hey guys! I have a Dash with T-Mobile and I love it but I'm starting to have some networking problems with it. I dropped it two days ago and it took a long time for it to boot up to the homescreen and the network has been going in and out ever since. I'm currently using Kavanas 6.1 Rom and I've tried upgrading the rom to NRG's 1.6 Rom and going back to WM6 to no avail. T-Mobile customer service couldn't help me out with this problem. Can anyone help me out please? I just want my service to go back to normal. Thanks guys
Help
Anyone???
I am assuming that since you dropped it you might have messed up the antenna inside depending on how hard you dropped it... I would call T-Mobile and ask for a replacement if you still have warranty on it.
Got it working!
After searching the internet carefully, I saw a video that showed that you can stick a paperclip into the back of your antenna (the silver bubble cover on the back of the phone) and it improves your signal greatly. I just used a staple and bent it to the point where it fit inside the hole and press it against the back of the phone so it wouldn't be sticking out and put a small piece of electrical tape to cover it up. Now I get at least 4 bars all the time compared to 0. I just can't part with my dash yet since a flash the new NRG 1.7 Rom and its tight plus my contract doesn't end unitl mid Feburary 2009 where I have tough decision to make, G1 or Blackberry storm or neither?
i wish tmobile would carry the att fuze (htc touch pro) .... i'm almost considering jumping ship for that phone in a few months if tmobile doesn't offer anything outside of a G1 that i can upgrade to.
Yeah, I was looking on htc.com and I saw that they have the HTC HD coming out and I was blown away. I would rather have that but it cost a grip right now.
The Blackberry Storm is amazing... I loved that phone, I wish I could get it.
So this is the dilemma.
I have a T-mobile MDA vario 3 which drops calls when it is on the 3G network it went back to be repaired and came back with WM6.1 it was shipped with WM6 this was back in October 2008 then it worked no problems apart from my copy of Tom tom no longer worked but I could always use google maps if it came to it.
So Back in March it started playing up again would drop calls on the 3g network but when i set the network to GSM it was fine, but this was not acceptable as the reason I have this phone is for web and emails etc.
so I arranged for it to go back, before the bag arrived from T-mobile I managed to drop the phone into the cats water bowl it wasn't full submergered but it did get wet. and went a bit funny. I dried it out over night.
Posted it to teh repair place and I came back as 'Cannot be repaired due to water damage' with a nice picture of the inside of the phone showing somthing.
So now I have a Vairo 3 which doesn't work properly I am using my older Vairo 2 upgraded to WM6.1 via this website which is cool but doesn't have all the feature that the Vairo 3 has in WM6.1 the conversation like text messaging and the thing on the today screen with the time and stuff on it is not there either. For some reason the loud speaker on my Vairo 2 doesn't work so I cannot here it ring but it works with the headphones its as if it hasn't switched back from headphones mode.
So 2 phones which are not working properly. I was hoping to upgrade but looking on the T-mobile uk website today there is only the Vairo 4 and the compact 2. I would love the Touch pro or the Touch HD, but I might just ditch T-mobile and get an Iphone as everyone I know that has one is so impressed by the way they just seam to work. they do what you want straight out of the box and the app store is so easy to use.
So should I wait and upgrade to a new HTC phone via T-mobile or go for a new contract with 02 and the Iphone. I really liked my Vairo when they worked, love the keyboard.
oh and I am on a friends and Family deal with T-mobile as my Mum did some contracting for them in 2007 and got me the deal, so I guess I am not worth T-mobile holding onto if I threaten to go else where with my custom.
Any thoughts? is the iphone good enough or are the new models from HTC so much better and why?
I don't have £400 to buy somthink unlocked either.
cheers for your comments.
