Wanna Ask, My ROM Version is
ROM Version: 1.60.00WWE
ROM DATE: 12/03/03
Radio version: 1.08.00
Protocol version: 1337.18
ExtRom Version: 1.60.44
If I Backing up using XDAtools provided by Jeff, which rom will it backup? the main rom, extRom or radio rom or maybe all. Should I upgrade my ROM? I heard if we upgrade the rom the power consumption will be save, is that true?
I cannot get a red lamp warning when I receive SMS or get any misscall do anyone know why?
when I use sprite backup, I'm always get problem which is my SMS cannot be seen in my inbox, although actually I'm already receive it.

When I click on the "Device Information" icon and check on the Version tap I cannot see the Extended Rom Version. What I see is the following:
ROM version: 1.03.00 USA
ROM date: 09/24/03
Radio version: 1.05.14
Protocol version: 1337.14
Where can I find the Extended ROM version.

the only place I see the version is in the nbf header of the ms_.nbf file.
it is not stored in the binary partion of the diskonchip, not in the registry.
I have not looked through all the cabs in the extended rom, maybe there somewhere.
Hi itsme, there is a file called version.sa.cab, I run that one but it did not seem to do anything. I still have not found the verision number of my extended rom.

aha, looking at it, it contains this:

so that is where the version is then.

If this is of use to anyone, provided I can get it out of the machine by using WinXP and USB, let me know and I post it. Would need programs and instructions to do so.
Mine is a UK XDA-2 with the t-mobile 1.60 rom on it, and the extended rom area is visable and the files have been removed so i can put a small TomTom Map on there
under device information / version i get.

I want to upgrade ROM cause having troubles with bluetooth connections and etc.
Limitations: my joystick not working. Only left and up positions in it working, so, will not able to get into the bootloader by pressing power-reset-joystick.
I browsed much pages in forums, but found only breaked pieces of info about upgrading. Please, help me to do upgrade?
1) what steps required to upgrade
2) how to backup my nowdays rom?
3) what i need to do, if rom will not suit to my ppc? how to rollback?
4) where to get rom and etc?

Radio Version: 1.41.00.10
Protocol Version 32.74.7020.18H
All send out and come in SMS is malfunction.
Do anyone know how to solve it ?

i'm sure it's not wm6 problem but likely text message service center number is wrong (or missing).
click start, settings, phone, voice mail and text messages, get settings.

Finally, i change to use LVSW, problem solved.
It seem Black Roms is not stable at all

After doing a series of test.
It was found that both version LVSW and Black Pro 3.0.1 got the same problem.
Then, i try to master reset the device and install the program one by one and sending a testing SMS at once.
The answer come out, the problem is caused by one program call "O2 SMS plus". Once installed, it will affect the SMS function in your device

With my previous ROM WM5, i knew where to enter in the MMS/PXT settings, just can't seem to find it with the Black-IV-Shadow ROM. Here are the rom Radio versions.

Is there a later ROM version that this that might fix this issue? I'm quiet happy with this ROM, just want to get the MMS/PXT settings set up properly.
Hey guys, I was wondering if I could upgrade the Radio Rom. I tried to find out what my Radio Bootloader was through the WIKI site but could not get the commands to work. All I know is that I have:
Rom Version: Schap's 4.01
Rom Date: 10/03/07
Radio Version: 1.16.00.00
Protocol Version: 32.53.7018.01W
ExtRom Version: 4.01.20071111
IPL: 1.01
SPL: 1.40.Olipro
I think that I need a newer Radio Rom as that one seems a bit old. The phone takes about 1.5 seconds to come back from sleep when clicking the power button.
You will have no problems upgrading radio. My phone started with 1.16 and is no up to 1.54.
sure, you can update the radio.
i suggest upgrading your IPL/SPL to HardSPL 7 or 9. i am currently using HardSPL 9 (2.60 Olipro), at the very least if you have a corrupted radio flash you will have your system bootable instead of a dead brick.
check out the ftp repository for xda-developers, you will be able to find v7 there (v9 is in the upload folder, but make sure you _only_ use it if you know what you are doing.)
Definitely upgrade SPL first, also do a little reading around, some radio roms work better in some countries than others and better on some network providers.
