Hello all,
I'm from Romania and I'm seriously considering buying a Typhoon (here sold as SPV C500) phone. Trouble is, I don't want to use it in the Orange network, so it must be unlocked. So far I was unable to find a free unlocker for this phone. There are some guys that offer unlocking services (for example http://www.imei-check.co.uk/) and they seem to work, as far as I read, but I'm really interested if there is a way to unlock this phone for free.
Thank you for your help,
Bogdan M.

Hi,
I am not sure how useful this will be to you, but my XDA Exec was already unlocked when I bought it (Direct from O2).
Mine was purchased in the UK, I don't know if it will be the same for those bought elsewhere?
Are you sure that yours is actually locked to O2? It might be the case that it is not locked at all. Have you tried inserting a sim from another network to see what happens?
Best of Luck.

My O2 XDA Exec also is unlocked from the factory, tested with Orange & Vodafone SIM Cards successfully

i search on your forum but my English is to bad for understand all that you say and you've got a lot of soft
so if you can tell me the soft to use and how to use it
thanks for all
and sorry for my English
If you mean to unlock it to use on any network you choose, there is no software to do this. If you want to unlock the rom, that is a different story. What do you want to do?
i want to unlock it to use on any network
At this time, that is not possible. But I ask, why did you buy a locked phone? There are many posts on this website concerning unlocking. If you wanted an unlocked phone, why did you buy this one to begin with? Perhaps it was cheap, and now you are stuck with it unless you bought it legally and can get the unlock code from your subscirber. I paid the price and my phone was not locked to begin with.
i don't buy the it is a "renew" by my provider with my points
so i buy a code on a web site
thanks for your help
good luck on finding a code on a website. It won't happen.
Hi
I have an O2 Exec on contract. This has a few problems and my Dad has just given me his QTEK 9000 (same model) but his is on contract with 3. WHat I'm wanting to do is to use his machine but with my sim card in it as his machine is hardly used and in much better condition. When I changed over the sim card, the QTEK is asking me for a unlocking code. Now I'm not wanting to do anything illegal!! I just want to use his machine instead of mine. If I can't then I'll live with mine but how can I go about unlocking it? And why does it need unlocking?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks
David
It says that 'Network is locked'
Does that mean that my O2 network is locked?? I'm confused??
is that an HTC universal?
cos there is this, on the wiki...

Thanks!!
However, the buzz link does not work and I'm guessing I need it for the .exe files. Any other links?
Hey guys,
Has anyone had their HTC p3600i unlocked? Where did you get it unlocked? If it's an internet site, which one was it?
I'd like to get my p3600i unlocked, so I don't mind paying. However, I can not get it unlocked by my phone operator, because I bought the phone second hand.
Thanks!
P.S. I searched the trinity forums, but couldn't find anything on it. The unlocker for trinity (3600) does not work for the p3600i
Hi all,
I've spent hours trawling through this forum and the internet in general, trying to see if there's a way to (sim) unlock my MDA Compact V that's currently locked to T-Mobile UK. I've now come to the point where I'm thinking I'm going to need to extend my short arms into my deep pockets and pay for the service I'm quite happy to do this, but would someone be kind enough to recommend the best way to go about this? Google brings up so many, "Pay us xxx, give us the IMEI and we'll send you the code" - do these work? Can they be trusted?
As I say, I'm happy to pay for the service but would like to guarantee that I'll only need to pay the once...
Appreciate all who read this and anyone that can help
