A friend of mine is able to get me a german iPAQ 6340 soon(FA203A#ABD). Will it be possible ( / easy) to change the wm2003 to english? (hence the FA203A#ABB model)
Any ideas?

i doubt it
windows CE have the language hardcoded
so to change language you need to reflash the rom
at least that how it is with xda roms
unless HP got some different way to handeling that it require a new rom
and hp dont have free roms like our xda devices
so it may even be impossible

I changed an ipaq 3850 from german to english by flashing with english rom.
Check if an English Rom is available
Your buddy needs to check if HP as a DL available in a different language.
Or ask the group if somebody has the "CD" in English available for DL

I'm new to this forum and new to these update/hacking systems.. so bare with me.
I'm buying cheap Ipaq 2210 but the operating system language is germany. Can i update that to English? Its using Windows mobile 2003.. If somebody can give me instructions and/or links to sites where i can download english os.

I have done this but I needed an english ipaq as well. I started the rom flashing procedure on pc using the english ipaq and the english rom, when you enter bootloader part after the software has checked compatability just switch ipaqs, the german language one should then be flashed with the english rom upgrade.
My father has recently visited Taiwan and picked up a Dopod 900 from a street shop for a pretty cheap price. Now, I'm wondering whether it's possible to change the ROM to *any* English ROM, since I'm not that great at reading Chinese. I'd also prefer not to have a brick after the process.

sorted use the special rom on wiki.xda site follow instructions (specialyy about boot loader ) and viola u will have a lovely o2 dopod

Dopod didn't make English ROM , now in here only English ROM can be use was I-mate, go to wiki and get the ROM from there and flush it your Dopod will become Dopod/I-mate , have fun

My Dopod 900 now used I-mate ROM and O2 Exec used Dopod ROM and I change them every two day , to try different thing in both. :lol: :lol: :lol:

On the hp page there is a new ROM 1.12 (english) for my ipaq. I am interesting with this due to a lot of fixes... The problem is that I have the polish ROM (plk). I have nothing against polish but I would like to upgrade the ROM and I prefer english How to do this?
I would be greteful for your help.

i've just got a toshiba e350 ,the rom version is 1.0305.0404, dated: March 5 2003, the problem is that it is in portogues,how do change it to english. i can bearly find my way around. i tried micosoft but could not get any language service packs on the site. someone please HELP!

First, sorry for my bad English.
I have used this hpRUU to upgrade mi hp iPAQ 6815 from English to Dutch
version and i used Sp35820.
So my Office is Dutch on this moment.
And everything on my PDA is Dutch.
I am very happy with this, it runs like hell...thanks.
But now i have a problem.
I attempt to upgrade Office to a newer version but when i use Dutch then i have an error.
Now i was looking in the hpInventory in the PDA and there i can see:
language: English(WWE) (Taal: Engels (WWE))
Is there a possibility to solve this ?
I want to upgrade Office with the Dutch version.
Or maybe there is a possibility to put WM6 Dutch version on my PDA.
On this moment it is WM5.

I got ann Ipaq HX2110 but in Korean language i tried upgrading it by using the English ROM update from HP site but it wont allow me because of language mismatched...

try to look for RUUP_NLC.exe on google.
This tool has been used for flashing on older HP devices (NLC = No Language Check) to override language ID.
