Hi!
I wanted to set up my mail account on my TP2. After entering the data i saw that i just typed in my mail address incorrectly. After changing the address the account does not open anymore, nor can i delet it - it actually does nothing. Do you have any idea how i can delete it?
regards
click mail tab
press menu
press accounts
press accounts
highlight the account you want to delete
press Menu
Press delete
i´ve got the same problem with my german touch pro 2.
your tutorial doesn´t work for me. if i press menu it is going into incoming mails of the account.
any help??
if you press the 'x' after it goes into the account and do it all again, the email account you last opened will be highlighted and you will be able to delete it then
I noticed a bug with the email a few days ago. When i hit send and receive it says downloading 1/1001 and freezes for a while.
i don´t know why, but now i can tap&hold on the account and delete it.
maybe i had first to donwload my emails... thanks
I'm having problems with this... I have an account which isn't working, it won't synchronise (inbox empty) and it would let me delete the account. 'Delete' is grayed out.
p_shep, it will be grayed out if it is an exchange account, as it has to be deleted from another spot in the system. Are you using an exchange email account?
Jason
Nope, it's a Yahoo account :-/
It's like a point a click adventure game this...
Found out how to delete accounts:
FRom emails page
Menu -> accounts -> acounts -> menu -> tools -> options
(basically get to the email options page where the tabs 'accounts', 'message', 'address' and 'storage' are shown along the bottom)
Check the box 'display account picker when opening messaging'
Then click:
Menu -> accounts -> accounts
The account picker should be shown
Highlight the relevent account, and it's just menu -> delete.
What a mess. They don't make it easy do they?
Hi,
I am having a problem with setting up email on my UK T-mobile TP2. Since i got the handset last year I have to set up my email accounts (gmail) in 2 stages. Firstly, I use the email tab on the homescreen to add a new account. If i leave it at this stage I get an error about not being able to connect.
I stumbled across a solution, and that means I need to press the physical windows button on the front of my handset (brining up the grid of icons) then selecting the "email" icon. then I set up the email (again) from here. This then clears the problem for me.
However, I no longer have the email icon when I press the windows button and I cannot find it anywhere in windows?!?
Does anyone know where this icon points to in windows, as I cannot send/receive any email until i find it and set it up.
Please, anyone!?!?

Click to collapse
my email shortcut reads:
:MSINBOX -pickeroption
It is an internal command, that is why you can't find the executable file. Create a shortcut using the above info.
I did a search prior to posting but could not find a direct answer to my question, but if it's out there I apologize for asking the question again.
Is there a way to empty the contents of my stock email POP3 trash folder that doesn't involve deleting each email individually, deleting the entire account and adding it back in, or using a different application? I know that if select more than one email and press the menu button I get a "Deselect all" but I just can't seem to find that elusive "Select all" button. Thanks.
Need some help from someone here....
I don't know why entries are duplicated, see attached. I share my calender with someone, who enters the events for me. I am using Kerio mail server, which is compatible with MS Exchange, at work. The entries will duplicate as time goes on, but not immediately..... strange.
in addition, i can't edit the entries at all. When I hold on the event, it says "unable to edit this event"
Wish someone can help me...
Thanks in advance
I posted this in the AT&T specific M8 forum and got no response despite 500 views, hope ya'll can help. I am on a stock based rom using gmail to sync my exchange account email, contacts, etc. I have removed the stock mail app. When I try to edit an Exchange contact, it doesn't give me the option, i.e. I press the contact name to open, then press the the three dots in the upper right, no option to "Edit Contact". I can edit all google contacts without issue. I seem to remember being able to edit Exchange contacts when using the native mail app. Any ideas on how to solve this?
