Hello XDA-developers....
Noticed today, that when you´re posting without HTML-Code all the text is shown in one line....
I´m sure this wasn´t so all the time and i don´t want to turn on the HTML-code.
it´s ugly enough receiving HTML-Emails, so I´d like it more without HTML-Code in the postings.
Also it´s very ugly to read the postings, when much text is in it....
Maybe you can have a look at it...

this is something that has recently had some code changes.

Noticed today, that the preview shows all correct.

I think all should be well now: old messages that were posted when stuff was broken now have line-breaks fixed, and new messages shoud work OK.

The Image Verification is too hard to see,how to read it.....
Can you show me what you mean?
You can guess, they'll give you another if you get it wrong, so not a huge problem

Ohh you mean the CAPTCHA? They're horrid. Just reload and get a new one, or get it wrong and a new one will show up

actually the point of Captcha is so AI (bots) cannot do it...
and i really dont get how hard people find these. i maybe fail 2 per year... i learned my alphabet in kindergarten

Just had to see how hard your captcha is...
At least I can read xda's, setting up sync with gmail on my android took me 20 attempts...
Pause for thought I am 50 with bad eye sight and have now previewed this thread 4 times getting CAPTCHA right every time!!!
I found out that after you have posted more than 10, the Captcha will not appear anymore..

Three post today and only one reload for me — and no, I was not drunk before ;-)
BTW: Opera… I was on 3G network, with my provider applying some compression proxy. This plays up some times, as they decide to compress JS, too.

Sometimes it is hard to define correctly the letters, but I can accept it as spam filter for new members and can live with it.
I have same prolem on chrome 28, then I try it on IE10, it's OK now

May be its ur browser's problem.

For the past few days, Ive been getting issues whenever I try to post threads/messages or reply to them. I tried both Quick Reply & Advanced Reply same story. Further tested with changing the theme from XDA 2013 - 1024 to XDA Classic and also tried switching browser from Chrome to IE10 and still same issue Basically, when I click submit, the loading of page seems to progress forever till the error message comes saying Server sent no reply data Its been bugging me for days and its annoying as hell
2 Points to note :
I might have issue posting to a specific thread for hours but I can post in other threads quite easily. After a while, I will be able to post again to the thread which I previously had issues.
I dont think I've made any changes my side and after trying 2 different browsers as well as different themes, I think its a problem on the Server itself
Hope the Site Devs can fix this soon Thanks in Advance and Keep up the Good Work

His problem is different.. yours is because of 10 post count.. read rules.. you will understand.. now you have 11.. so you have ability to post in development section now..

You sure its same issue?
Because you don't have 10 posts.. so you don't have permission to post in development section threads.. if you got problems in that section.. then its common.. if you got problems while replying in other section then contact mods.. see link in above posts .. I think its just 10 post rule you missed..
Now that you have 10.. you can post anywhere..

Ps any update on my problem ? I posted this long ago in the Thread to notify Staff and absolutely no replies Just went ignored I know its not the staff's fault but if they could take alook at it when they get a chance, would be grateful
i think that problem is in the server and it is inevitable...because we so many users in here...

Hmmmm...this is strange. Apologies for no one having tried to help sooner. I'll see what we can do
Thanks for the albeit delayed feedback just in case it helps, I noticed that it depends in some way on the message content or the title. If I start a new page and retype (not copy paste) the same thing, it won't work sometimes changing the title helps and other times, the message itself... In the case of posts, if I can't post a certain message, copy pasting and then adding it via a quick edit works but if it doesn't, then same issue will show in normal reply.. I confirmed that its browser and platform independent and also, I didn't accidentally add any Unicode characters
Hope the above might give a clue what the issue is thanks in advance

I have't heard this error reported elsewhere, it sounds like a network issue possibly.
Have you tried on another connection?
I considered the possibility but I'm mostly at college and only one ISP here plus it's not exactly reproducible so I couldn't find out about that if it's a network issue, any idea why it occurs ? I only see this issue on xda,ie, I can read posts and all, make different replies etc but specific messages won't work ( at sometimes and work fine later) and same issue with browsing in iPad so can't see why or how I'm getting this error and it's been bugging me for ages popping up for so long. Again, hope you have any advice

Sometimes loading seems to take a while but the pages are loading correctly
I've seen in the past weeks that sometimes this forum taking long before it load, maybe due to lot of traffics from readers...
Hopefully some issues from other user will be fixed!

As far as i know.. its not possible this way.. while subscribing to you a thread you get options in browser not on app.. or in user cp you will find options..
Something like this is in the works, we hope to release it soon. Basically, when you are @ it will send an email to let you know.

MENTION EMAILS
Check this box if you do not wish to receive an email whenever you are mentioned in a post.
Disable Mention Emails
Dont tick the last option ... that will send you mail when someone quotes your posts..
Or copy paste the sentence in google translate and read it in your native language..

I dislike translaters, many times they say ****s ^^
Somehow my layout changed to where all the threads are not in order... It only shows 1 post at a time. I have to goto the top and click a link of each thread to load them one by one underneath.... I attached a pic to help show you what I mean. I cant figure out how to fix it at all. Can anyone help me?

Thank you so much!!! I dont know HOW it got changed, I just know it was DRIVING ME INSANE!!!! Wow i tried forever to find that setting!! I dont recall ever changing it to begin with tho! And I dont know why i can see deleted posts haha I did see a few like that while searching and it confused me if thats what it really was haha.

Curiously, this happened to me a week or two back. Changed from newest first to threaded mode all by itself, though actually the setting was still set correctly. Just had to resave the settings.
I'll report it to the backend guys though.

Right, ok, thanks. Actually as I remember when this happened to me, it said thread deleted top left on all threads so I don't think it is really showing deleted threads.

I've had this happen too. But for me, it seemed it was a specific mobile browser issue. I switched browsers and it was fine. Never touched my settings.
And yup, everything said deleted. Really confused me at first. Lol
And a note, going back to that browser after awhile, all was fine. Go figure.

Hi
Well your account certainly goes back to 2006, but there is no record of older posts. We record ones that are deleted too, but there are none.
There is no automatic clearing of old posts.
Is it possible you might have had another username?

I am quite sure that my username here was always Sinned.
I idd saw that I had 0 posts.. where I thought something must been resetted, hence I ask.
Uhm.. well, seems strange. Dnno then.. I lost like all my settings aswell. I guess I start over..

Mike, I just happen to find some old posts of mine, and you are right, the username there says: pnxsinned
Uhm to which email was that one linked can you see? Or can you merge them?

That account email has "den" in it, it has a dot and it's a gmail address.
If you get in, send me a PM and I can delete this account.
