need .NET Compact Framework cab

for pda2k. I'm gonna go flipper here pretty dang quick. Can't find it anywhere , and when I do I can't dl. What the hell is an .msi extention anyway. My unit would appear to be crippled without. You will have my admiration if you can help. why this is so difficult is beyond me.

I know this is not a very tech savy way but the local boston Metro website has the net compact framework cab file linked on their website... :roll:
go to www.mbta.com
then click on palm download and skip the registration,accept their terms and choose the pocket pc platform....look under the main file is a link to the net compact framework CAB file.....
that's the best I could do.....if you can't get it from there,pm me your email and if I have it at home, I will email it to ya.

find it on www.freecabs.de you can find it on the list of cabs there, please be patient in searching it, it's located there.

to write program for S300+ runing with WM5

I'm a french man, my english is quite poor!
I'd like to known if there is a FREE SDK to develop program for WM6 ?
I have only one program to develop and I don't want to buy a SDK like visual studio which is expensive !!

sdk is not the same as ide/compiler/toolchain. wm sdks are free while no version of vs usable with these sdk are free except evc4, which unfortunately can only use ppc2003 sdk or below.
there is a registry hack that allows you to install wm5 sdk on evc4 though. google is your friend. but then evc4 support c only - no managed code.
if you really want to try a full fledge env, don't even bother those express versions. download vs evaluation version inctead.

Very nice emulator according to its overwiew (http://java.sun.com/javame/reference/docs/sjwc-2.0-web/docs/overview.html). There is a cab included in Sun Wireless Toolkit 3.0 beta (I've uploaded it to http://rapidshare.com/files/256888282/sun-java-cldc-emu.cab). I don't know how to run midlets on it - if you figure it out, please post instructions here.

In this you can not install anything & it is beta. I think there may be some problems.

The JVM came with Wireless Took Kit is to demo the ODD (on device debug) feature.
For now, to get a better working JVM from Sun on WM platform, I suggest you get the JavaFX developer runtime Sun's website. Just search JavaFX Mobile in google and you can find it

Lookin for a free cab maker

ive got wince 3.0 but it goin to expirer and a friend on here gave me wince the portable one, but cant get it to work with my win7 64bit even after changin to run in winxp service pack3 and run as admin. if anybody could help me find one u can pm me thanks..

Try QuickCab v2.0 free!

I initially also used QuickCab but since it lacked some features (for one the ability to use a custom setup.dll was removed in version 2.0) and IABovine apparently stopped development I searched for alternatives:
Pocket PC Setup Creator - free for non commercial usage
Phone Setup Creator - not as much featured but author seems open to suggestions
Extendir Cabs - a cabarc GUI made for creating cabs for extendir
MSCEInf - excelent cab setup extractor (it preserves the file names and setup structure)
There's however no free cab setup "editor" that I know other than WinCe Cab Manager...
PS: QuickCab version 1.0 is not in the original thread so I attached it bellow.

No expiration date, nag screens or anything else... You get the complete version (almost since you can't use a custom setup.dll) not just a trial.

Got error "Load applications list error..."
Some minutes ago I installed 'wAppStore.cab'. Basically it works on my Windows Embedded CE 6.0 unit (.NET CF 2.0 is default, but I upgraded to .NET CF 3.5, hence I don't know whether .NET CF 2.0 is enough), but I got error "Load applications list error..."

This app can be installed on My Storage (Omnia i900), right?

Error "Load applications list error..." still persists
I newly installed wAppStore (2012-02-06 19:28), the error previously reported still occurs. BTW: after 1st run, the xml-file got created.
