[Q] GS3 stuck in bootloop

Hey guys. just tried to flash CM 10.1.3 after some bugs in Carbon started getting on my nerves. Used ROM Toolbox and ended up getting my device stuck in some kind of weird boot loop. The phone boots up with the samsung logo and (recovery booting) text at the top left hand corner. For some reason, it boots up, but nothing on the display. it vibrates every few seconds, but nothing. I tried to boot into recovery manually, but the same thing happens. So i figure I'll just to into Odin and flash my stock copy on, no big deal. For some reason, my PC, nor Odin are recognizing that the GS3 is plugged in and in download mode. No Unkown Devices, nothing shows up anywhere. Anyone know a fix, or am I completely ****ed?
If your PC does not recognize download mode, you can try to check the cable, plug it into a different USB port, or pull your battery and try again.
If none of that works, you are not screwed. Be lucky you have an android It's possible for an android to boot from an SDcard such as a windows boot disk on desktop.

[Q] LG G3 D855 Going to Fastboot, not staying on download mode, need stock back on

I am looking for the easiest way please to get my phone working again. LG G3 D855 from HongKong? LGD855XA9BK
I am not bothered about keeping anything on the phone, it can be formatted wiped, whatever.
When I Vol down and connect to pc usb, it takes about 7 seconds of a blank screen to the initial LG Lifes Good logo,, from there it sits another 15 seconds until the download mode logo pops up. This is up for approx 8 seconds (which my pc does not detect as a device) and then goes into fastboot which my pc does detect.
in a cmd window if I type fastboot devices command, the device ID appears as a single ' ? '
Gotten TWRP 2.8 for LG G3, If I type fastboot boot twrp.img then the twrp logo appears on the phone but goes no further - I have to battery pull. But..
keeping the twrp logo on the phone, if i type again fastboot devices from a cmd then there is no device listed.
still keeping the twrp logo on the phone if i type adb devices then the full device id appears as it should.
I'm going in circles and I'm not sure what cause the problem in the first place. I'll be happy with stock back on (tried the flash tool but pc won't detect the phone in fastboot, the lg recovery tool is the same) but I'm struggling where to start.
If this has been covered with success than I can't find it in the forums. If anybody can point me in the right direction then that would be great.
Thankyou in advance!
(p.s. I though I posted this question whilst not logged in to my account previously, so it is listed previously under a guest account which can now be deleted, but keeping this one. With thanks)

semi ded e971

So, I have an E971 that has no working volume buttons and cannot be put into download mode.
Scratch the below info as now it is now either worse or better
Worse is that I don't have ADB or fastboot anymore. The phone flashes the Google logo and that is it. It shows up in dev manager as LGE Android MTP Device and COM ports 12 and 13 BUT that is all.
LG Flash Tool 2014 and others try to install but all fail at 4% into the actual flash process
I know the phone boots into TWRP but the screen goes off right after the TWRP logo so obviously the screen is OK. TWRP keeps on running in the background and I can ADB into the phone. Only other connection option is fastboot.
I have flashed new recovery through fastboot but the screen still turns off after the recovery logo but I can access the phone with ADB at this stage.
Were this a Samsung phone I could simply adb reboot download, but this is not available.
Where do I start? Help!
With much luck I took the phone apart and now have working volume buttons and a running OS but now have an IMEI of 0

[Q] Broken from update to Lollipop (stuck in fastboot)

I've seen some other people with this problem, but there have been no fixes.
The problem is that the phone was updated to Lollipop. It worked for a little bit, but after a couple of minutes lots of programs started force quitting, and it eventually turned off.
When it turns on, it takes about 20 minutes, and then goes into fastboot mode.
If I try to get into download mode, it stays on download mode for around 15 seconds, and then it continues into fastboot mode. Windows does not recognize the phone in download mode, so I can't restore anything from there.
What I have learned then is that I need to flash the laf.img file, which I got from download the official firmware from LG's website by inserting my IMEI, so it's the right version, and then trying both fastboot flash laf laf.img, as well as fastboot
boot laf.img. The problem is that they both fail writing, but it's not just that command. I can't do fastboot erase recovery, or fastboot erase anything, only thing that works is fastboot reboot.
Does this mean that the internal storage is broken? Is there anything else I can do? I can execute fastboot commands, but it seems like I cannot write anything. The drivers seem to be working, as it's recognized as a fastboot devices, but it only says
? fastboot devices
All commands result in a error(failure or something like that. I've removed the SD card as well, as I heard that might cause problems. As far as I know, I need to flash the laf.img to get into download mode, and from there on can flash via kdz.
Help please? This kind of sucks..
When you write a command, does it show on the phone?
You might need to change the driver in device manager. Look for "Android", update driver, browse my computer..., let me pick from a list, and here you'll see 3 different drivers, what you want is "Android bootloader interface"

Canadian LGH812 - Dead android guy with red triangle + exclamation mark

Hey everyone,
I did something really stupid while trying to get a certain app to recognize a codec that it needed in order for it to work and seem to have probably bricked my phone.
Phone Details:
LGH812
Lollipop 5.0.1
rooted
I went to /system/ and renamed lib64 to lib64bak because I wanted to put some new files in there. This caused the phone screen to immediately go black and unresponsive. I took out the battery and re-inserted it. The phone boot logo with LG comes up and then it goes to a black screen with the dead android guy with red triangle and the exclamation mark. No other text is present in this screen. Stays at this screen for about a minute and reboots only to go back to the exact same screen.
Things I have tried:
1.) I tried to boot into download mode (power+volume down) still goes to the aforementioned screen.
2.) Got LGUP to recognize the com port once, but it shows up as unknown and won't let me proceed with a fresh wipe/install
3.) Tried the LG Flashing tool, couldn't even see the com port.
4.) Tried the WHQL universal drivers as well as the specific device drivers with no advancement.
What I believe is happening is that it's trying to boot properly initially, but it can't find lib64 folder so it fails to launch the os and then tries to go into recovery due to error, but fails to go to recovery also because of lib64 is missing.
If anyone has any ideas/things I can try to get it into recovery or download mode or if anyone has seen this state before and was able to fix it please let me know.
Thank you all for your time!
