Problem with Moto G6 Play xt1922-2 - Moto G6 Play Questions & Answers

Hi, I'm new here so no hate.
I have a problem with the moto g6 play xt1922-2, I can not upload the rom via zip or image. The phone has no software.
I wanted to install lineage 17.1 but all the files that I uploaded on the phone blew the installation error .zip damage so I downloaded from different links and from two different laptops and then I tried to install lineage 16 from this page
http://theupgradeguide.com/2020/01/10/install-android-10-on-moto-g6-lineageos-17-how-to-guide/
And then nothing the same, every time the zip file is damaged, I tried to unpack it and repack it using different programs without any effects.
Not to mention that every time I installed I did a wipe.
I read that it can be twrp bad but I searched for moto g6 and found 3.2.1 and 3.2.3 and no further results.
I even tried to install
PixelExperience_Plus-9.0-arm64_aonly
But still the same, I run out of ideas can anyone help me?
I used the tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g6-play/how-to/guide-t3929928
email: [email protected]

Your device is arm a but you're trying to install ROMs meant for arm64. That's the first issue. Second problem is there are no ROMs specific to our device. Only GSI ROMs.

Re
what do you mean he's armed? what else than arm64 I can install? which gsi rom do you suggest? can I install the rom pixel experience

Our device is ARM-Aonly is what I mean. I would recommend havoc to flash: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...led-device-development/gsi-havoc-os-t3930030/

This app shows you what gsi your device is compatible with. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tk.hack5.treblecheck
Since our device is arm-aonly, you'll see this as a confirmation in the app:

Need some help for flashing Violet

Good to hear that Official Lineage OS 16 has been released for violet and so is TWRP but that's not issue....
The issue is that whenever I try to flash the ROM it shows *treble zip compatibility error*.....to get over this I also tried to delete the compatibility.zip file in the main ROM zip file...but nothing happened and it fails to flash the ROM showing process failed>error:7,I did try to look for a workaround by using the TwrpBuilder recovery and still the same issue pops up
can you guys pls help me get this over with?
Pls list down the instructions with the required zip/IMG files as well the links to these files, can you pls point out the issue as to why the error showed up....I mean since Qualcomm released the CAF files of Snapdragon 675 for further ROM development and knowing that violet's processor is the exact same 675 then why the compatibility error in twrp?

Re-download custom ROM again. Use file manager if needed. Most likely a corrupt download.

I tried downloads from several places. This is not the reason for the problem, sorry.

Hi Robert,
My apologies for the short answer earlier.
Your device does not seem te be bricked. Yet. At least, not with the info you provided thus far. I am guessing you already googled "MiFlash crc check fail." Some of the options were; use a different archiver, re-download, sideload, rename file and folder into short names or boot a custom recovery (instead of flashing) and install that way.
I've had this exact same problem before (see bottom of post), hence my short reply.
Do you have custom recovery? Can you tell me what happens if you flash custom ROM for the Mi Max 3 that way?
It seems your goals is to flash official. Out of the top of my head, you could also install Official Global ROM through adb & fastboot. This needs unlocked bootloader though if I'm not mistaken, not sure if that's the case here. Alternatively, you can try using another computer. Or don't use MiFlash.
My issue with installing Global ROM was that the first 85% of the download took 3 minutes. The last 15% 5 seconds. I downloaded from official site. Install gave CRC Check Fail everytime. I tried 3 times. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I then used a Google Drive link with matching size and details and everything worked like a charm.
I sincerely hope any of this helps. As with everything Mi Max 3 related, please be aware of arb. Sorry for the generic warning but you can never be sure.
Regards

Nexus 7 2013 FLO for use in car. Need Lineage OS, Kernal advice, Gapps info.

Hello all,
I've been seeing similar threads about the N7 being used for car use here and other places, but there are enough differences in what I saw, or the software was outdated or the computer they were using (I'm on a Mac) or bad mirrors in downloads that I get confused and stuck and stop trying for a while. If I can get ALL of the instructions that are the most current in light of what software is available with fresh links, I think I'll be set.
Background: Recently purchased an '04 Mazda RX-8 with a very dated GPS nav screen that pops up when you turn the car on. I purchased the N7 to go in this slot since it has a lot more features I would like to have like Torque and the ability to play music from Pandora or Spotify from my phones' hotspot, and it should be able to just barely fit with the charge cable and headphone jack output connected. I would like to eventually have mine permanently installed here. I have found enough videos to feel comfortable with the wiring of this. I have a bluetooth adapter for Mazda's in case the analog cable doesn't fit/work, a USB hub and 3amp charger all ordered.
I currently am rooted and on stock 4.3 with Kernel 3.4.0-g1f57c39 Build JWR66N I have TWRP installed on my device
Where I'm stuck at and need help is the uploading of the correct (subjective term) Lineage ROM for what I'm using this for AND the correct Kernal (that I think has to match the ROM?), which is using the OTG cable to charge, and have the option to pull music off an SD card connected to a USB hub. I understand I'll need Elementalx to go with a compatible ROM? I plan on getting some sort of car themed launcher so that I would use the launcher screen every time I hop in the car and start it. I would like the tablet to go into power saving mode when power is removed from the OTG cable. I have also seen installs using a magnet in the dash so that when the tablet goes down, it shuts off the screen (also triggering power saving mode?) Many users were using TIMUR's Kernel, which I understand to be unsupported and outdated.
I see other threads with older versions like 14.1 of L OS using the kernal that supports OTG charging. Do I need to have an older version of Lineage or can I use the 17.X version? Whatever makes the tablet stable and consumes the least amount of power when in standby would be ideal. What Gapps configuration should I use? Can I download all of this on the tablet and flash from there using TWRP? I've been out of the Android scene for a while and a lot has changed. Just need some coaching on what the steps will be to get the right versions of these flashed without bricking my N7! Thanks for your help!
PS: Sorry about the images. They wouldn't orient correctly.

I guess you are referring to the currently active thread on the subject. I propose that you settle on LOS14.1 and follow these steps:
get LOS14.1
get gapps (select ARM 7.1 pico)
get ElementalX-N7-6.17
get addonsu-14.1-arm-signed.zip //optional - if you want root
boot TWRP
copy LOS, addonsu, gapps and EX to N7
in TWRP do standard 'Wipe' THEN install LOS, THEN addonsu, THEN gapps
in TWRP install EX and preset "doubletap2wake", "Battery life extender" and "USB OTG + charge mode"
That's it. Have a nice ride :fingers-crossed:

Thank you for the reply and information, K23m! I have all of the files downloaded onto my Mac, have transferred them to the N7 via Android File Transfer and got LOS to install. I'm in the middle of getting all of the other elements to install and I'll report back if there are any troubles. Thanks again for the quick, and on-point reply. This is all I needed! :good::highfive:

Well, after I got LOS installed, I was unable to get the root zip installed. I got "Zip signature verification failed!" and it wouldn't install. Also not able to install Googleapps for the same reason. I think maybe the files didn't transfer properly. I can't get USB debugging to work on LOS with my Android File Transfer App on the Mac. I'll have to do some research. I think I need to re-download or re-transfer the files to the N7 to get them to load properly. Very limited on what I can do with no Play store or USB debugging. I'll try again in the morning.
Update: I was able to download the files directly onto the tablet and get them installed. Play store works. Thanks again for the help! I think I just didn't transfer the files correctly. I selected all of them and dragged them to the N7. I think that caused a problem with the files. Anyway, a download from the N7 itself worked. Cheers!

Thanks for this. I have been using my nexus 7 in my vehicle for years, but it needed a refresh. I followed this and worked perfect.
I did the same but instead of addonsu I installed Magisk. And now when I try to install ElementalX-N7-6.17 I got a "Zip signature verification failed!". I have downloaded it again. The md5 sum is also correct. How can I fix that?

Hi, I have flashed roms on sony devices a long time back. However, I have not been in touch with the process and would like to know if this method works fine on Oneplus 7T HD1900.
The flashing process from the PC seems a bit risky. I remember being able to copy the rom to the device memory and flashing from the recovery menu. Has anyone tried this?

Hi, hope you are having a great day and everything is alright. Sorry for the late reply, but as far as I know this is the only method to install custom rom onto the OnePlus 7t HD1900. I have done this already and am infact typing this on the phone with the rom. It is true that flashing recovery image is easier and safer however I am not sure if or when that will be available. I shall keep this thread updated with any news.
Just fixed my softbricked 7T with this topic. Thank you so much.
There was some confusion on video in folder names. I didn´t had such names as said on video but everything went smoothly. Phone is now booted and nicely working.
Great work you´ve done.
Glad that everything went smoothly, could you mention the confusion you had so I can add that in the post to make it more clear?

Are you using the plus edition? I flashed that one but I'm having issues with calls. Other person can't hear me. All they hear is a white noise.

I am using the plus edition. Try flashing the non-plus edition version and checking. It is not a known issue so I shall report it to the maintainers.
