It sounds like you have the blue light filter cranked all the way up.
Go to SETTINGS > DISPLAY > BLUE LIGHT FILTER.
If you don't want to use it at all, turn it off.
If you do want to use it, turn it on then, tap it to bring up the opacity slider & "Turn on now/Turn on as scheduled" options.

its not a blue light filter the yellow thing the center of the screent.

You're speaking as if we can all see your issue/experiencing the same problem.
A screenshot or, a pic would probably get more looks......

We all have it, but it is only visible when a dark theme is applied. It is no defect at all, just the way the display is built.

I see nothing resembling the OP's display yellowing on my Note 10+5G. I've been using mine as a daily driver for over six months & no kind of uneven coloring whatsoever. (Using dark mode)
At minimum, I'd suggest the OP contact Samsung customer service for troubleshooting, if not offer a replacement, if the phone is still in warranty.

Not normal. It's either an overlay or theme goof up... or hardware.
Could be "burn in" if it was a demo.
Start by testing OLED screen and drivers with Screentest:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...+test&pcampaignid=APPU_1_Adw7X7S2KsnKswWP045I
If it's doing it on Screentest you'll need to send it back. You can try clearing the system cache, vid driver data and a hard reset but I doubt that will help.
Samsung Tech Support over the phone is worthless other than to return a device.

Maybe try jscreenfix ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't think it's any the playstore anymore, though a quick apk search will do the trick

Yeah mine doesn't have that, had them over a year, use dark theme too.
It looks like burn in, pretty severe.

That's not normal. I'm running the dark mode and I don't have that yellowing in the center.

Yeah it's not normal had mine since launch and use dark theme but never had that.

Contrast problems on the display?

Hi there,
i am fairly new to the HTC and Android scene. Yesterday i got my HTC One X and the very first i noticed is a problem with the contrast.
Especially when it goes from grey to black, there are blocks visible. It is a bit difficult to make a photo of this issue, but i think you can see it clearly.
Is this a known issue? Can i do something about that?

Many thanks.
That's not contrast.
That is an image that seems to either compression artifacts or was produced with too little bit depth.
There's nothing wrong with the phone, it is faithfully reproducing a crappy image.
This was just an example. It shows the menu of a program (i think google maps).
I have also some photos that look the same where a black area goes into a brighter area.
Also some of dark HTC widgets, like the clock show this.
Like i said, difficult to make a photo of this issue:
Any problems viewing this?
Probably you mean these horizontal stripes. They are there when you look at the angle, but when you look straight, they are not there. I guess this is a problem due to technology used and it looks the same on mine One X. Also, AFAIR there are two different displays used in HOX, both from different manufactures and one of them doesn't have this problem but there are some other minor problems like smaller contrast or brightness, can't exatcly remember right now. It also annoys me but generally it is still the best phone screen I've ever seen and somehow I can get over it

these widgets in particular, and a lot of other things are supposed to change colour gradients, the notification bar being another.
just makes it look more fancy/3d
personally i don't think you have any problems except for the colour depth of the image not being enough, and that is why you see that, if there was more depth, then more detail and you wouldn't see that blocking
try switch your pc to a lower colour depth and youll see the exact same effect.

Thanks. I had the same idea and it looks normal. I also upgrade it to CM10 which does not have these grey to black transitions at all.
So no problem there, just poor graphics by HTC.
Thanks

Does you guys have a yellowish display too?

Is it a common part of the Mi Mix 2 to have such a flair of colorness on the display?
If i directly compare it to another device.
Its getting pretty visible, like on my old redmi note 3 pro.

Everyone keeps asking me that.. No its disabled. If you own a Mi Mix 2, would you please send me an picture from your device? In a white screen.
I just tested mine. I'm not about to upload a picture to show you, yet. But yours is definitely yellow. Did this happen OOB or were you using it and it noticed it happen suddenly?
There are some contrast settings in MIUI and more in custom roms such as RR that allow you to tweak the color contrast. It might help a little...
Thats not everything. I'd previously a Mi Note 3 with the exact same issue, and have refunded it and purchased by now the mix 2. But i thought by appearing on two different devices, it must be a common fabrication...
If you mind yours is clearly white in compare to mine, i've to refund it again. Here is picture from the mi note 3

Colour correction is controlled by the kernel, so if it boots on default settings (yellow) it will look yellow into the software changes it.
that's why I said try the settings, I'm sure the screen is fine just kernel is changing the temperature.
I may be wrong, however.

April Security Update - UI Issue

Hi all,
i recently applied the latest April OTA update on my Pixel 2 XL.
So far, the update appears to be fine and the only niggling problem I have with it that i've noticed is superficial.
Even after factory resetting twice, i can't seem to remove the transparent black borders from the top statusbar and navigational bar on the Google Now page.
Before the update these were immersive and 100% transparent.
Can anyone identify why this has happened and how to fix this?
Please see the attached images:

Hmm.... so it's not just me then. So maybe this is intended by Google maybe to protect against potential screen burn or something?
Looking at the Change log notes for the April release, it doesn't mention anything about the UI changes for the statusbar or navigational bars being modified.
I'm really surprised that no one else has mentioned this...
I find it really annoying, preferred the way it was before and I don't want to root an downgrade to previous release
I didn't even realize it until you mentioned it. It's only in the Google feed though right?

Well now they have light system theme and dark themes which is detected by your wallpaper. Hence why your pull down changes from light to dark. The light theme now feed doesn't have they dark box's I don't think

Checked it thoroughly !
When I booted for the first time it looked pretty fine on Android 8 immediately when I updated to Android pie it suddenly got a yellowish tint I know Google tweaked the brightness slider value ...but that doesn't mean that display should have a yellowish tint ! So I don't know whether its with all devices out there just want to confirm ..because the sunlight legibility is damn poor
Just to clarify, Night Light is definitely off right? Because your reply is talking about the brightness slider.

Bet the night light is on.
The night light is off I'm damn sure ....I've checked everything ... And if the night light is on the screen looks very much unusable the yellow tint is so aggressive ....
Ive checked each and every setting ....every time I use the mobile I feel there is an yellowish tint all over and the whites are not looking white
Well that's the first time I'm hearing of a yellow tint after an update.

Screenshots/pics will help a lot
when you go to the "night sight" settings in Display, can you move the slider under "intensity"? If you can, then it's enabled regardless what it may state. But it does seem -- if you are so certain -- that the system has permanently enabled it, even if it's showing off and disabled. Phone reset and/or reloading a Full Factory Image would relieve this, although losing settings and customizations isn't appealing -- you can backup everythiing (nandroid especially if rooted), but losing anything is only at risk when doing the phone reset and not reloading the Full Factory Image. I'm worried though that if it's a set setting, running the "flash-all" without the -w will retain such settings...

Question Front camera always visible

The front camera of my Z Fold 3 is always black, it shows as a black drop whenever I am watching a video, browsing internet etc. I cannot find any configuration related to this behaviour. Maybe it’s malfunctioning? Any ideas?

Sorry I meant the inside under display camera. It’s never hidden. I will try Samsung support, thanks for the help.
If you have good lock check setting in MultiStar > I Galaxy Foldable > UDC with black. If you enable this, under display camera will alway show on screen.
