90hz K20 Pro Android 10 (Magisk)- Not my work - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Themes, Apps, and

Hi,
Pls check this magisk module from the magisk thread (not my work). Screen OC to 90hz seems working with working FOD. Pls refer to the screenshots from aida.
I am on the latest Evo X 4.5 rom and my device is raphaelin.
EDIT-Not real 90hz, the apps are not reading it right. As confirmed from testufo.com

Do you have a weak eye ?? 90hz flash turns the screen into 51hz lol.
Check in ufo test via chrome browser.
testufo.com

I think we need to look for the vendor to be able to use high screen refresh rate like in K20/Mi 9T (davinci). They utilize 82hz with modified vendor.img, not just dtbo.

ok, i tested all the options. till 75hz things work fine. Above 75hz, the actual refresh rate becomes 51hz.
FOD works all throughout though.

Even if 90Hz works I don't think you should use it. Cause overclocking your display is not good idea.
It's okay upto 75Hz but even at 75Hz there is little risk of burning your display.
And at 90Hz I am sure your going to born your display soon.

[SOURCE | MINNOW] Kitkat Kernel Source for Moto 360

Hey folks,
as everyone knows, due to the GPL every company who creates android images is forced to release the kernel source!
I started digging around in the internet and found the sources at Googles git server.
The kernel is based on top of linux kernel version 3.10.x, so here we go:
https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/omap/+/android-omap-minnow-3.10-kitkat-wear
After i found and ordered a nice usb connector for my Moto 360 which i got last thursday,
i will start creating custom kernels and port over a modded version of cm
(which may takes a while as i have to create a few interface layouts first! ofcourse whishes and ideas are welcome).
Best regards,
OldDroid
Good luck man!
Oh fun. Huh turns out they lowered the standard fps to 45, and in ambient mode its capped down to 30. For battery I guess.
Thanks OMAPa!

Hm, why would you need 30fps in the dimmed mode (No seconds had there anyway)?
Or are we talking about the normal screen on state with ambient enabled?
Would lowering this further enhance the battery effiency significantly?

I think he means the normal screen rate is 30fps with ambient enabled...
I wouldn't mind upping the rate to 60fps because the watch last me a full day with plenty battery left over ... This way we can at least have a smoother experience

Yep the panel can definitely do 60fps. According to the source that was what it was originally set to. Wouldn't be too tricky to revert the relevant changes.
Edit: there actually is a time when the panel runs at 60fps... On the charger :/

Haha, yea that totally makes sense :victory: Did you spot yet which cpu governor we are running on by default?
Userspace. Its probably set in the ramdisk on boot like all the other nexuses. Based on older commits it is probably interactive but you'd have to look at the init files to be sure.
There are a lot of interesting things to tweak here not just frame rate. Gestures and sensitivity, frequencies/scaling/voltages, screen/misc timeouts, lots and lots of stuff can be tweaked with ambient mode - the timeouts, the max brightness for the ULP display state, and so on. Looks like we could even go revert back to "normal" ambient mode for those that want it.
there can be made various battery related changes
maybe i gonna try to implement blx (battery life extender) at the weekend, but we will see
i think some governor tweaks can be done aswell ... (don't know if touch boost interface has been implemented by motorola, will check later)

yep, it's interactive:
Code:

Sweet thanks for the link. As for features, can't think of much that isn't already handled via setting proc settings (screen off on charge etc), perhaps add an App that can make these configurable via a GUI?
This probably needs messing around with /system, but my biggest annoyance is probably the fact that cards always cover up my analog faces unless I mute, which still adds the mute logo so not the best solution.

I want to build a custom kernel for this guy. There are a lot of cool things I could do with CPU scaling, voltages, and ambient mode settings.
Unfortunately I reeeaally don't want to try to hack together my own cable. Hopefully someone will sell one but it seems unlikely.

Yeah, newer toolchain and some optimizations would really help that old processing in the Moto 360. I just wish we did not have you use a custom cable.
Will it ever be possible root over adb? Or through the NFC charger plugged into a PC?

Reported by other users too on v5.3 . Dev will fix that soon and roll out another update . Or you can wait for ar beast kernel to release with treble support.

Download helix engine for now. It'll tweak the governor forcing cores to stay at lower megs. And enable thermal throttling or vdd restriction from KA.
New kernel update is expected soon.

Any tips on how to make my phone run Fortnite better?

It runs like **** right now, the rendering resolution is set to 50% and stable 30 FPS is rarity.
our device is equiped with a decent enough cpu but the gpu sucks so dont get your hopes high ... did you try to reduce the resolution in the game launcher ?

Maybe it help...
Simple part :
First you can install magisk module like FDE.AI or NFS Injector or LKT (very good this one)
Medium :
Then You can try to overclock cpu and gpu with "kernel audiutor" for exemple. (GPU set to 745, governor on demand)
Hard Way :
Finally You can try to configure the app with "GLTools" (then disable MSAA, lower résolution...)
Good luck.

1. I've heard that A70 has problems with throttling too

Check Xiaomi updater website if there is a newer version to be installed...
Idk , for me personally I'm only in for the performance mode toggle - if you can see it inside battery settings of security center just enable it and you should be good.

Nope , miui is still trash because of that ...
There's literally no fix for that , I'm thinking of modifying the app that's in charge of handling that to remove all the locks on certain apps but I've still no idea how to remove drop to 60hz after not touching screen... If you remove the app you lose fast charging and usability of basically everything on the phone

yeah . that sucks. drops really kill smoothness of the phone. Im using it in 120hz all the time but dont know how long will that clear data thing work. i got used to 120hz+ displays over the years so i can really feel that stutter .
if i loose 1hr sot over it i dont realy care
How to force this update? Change region?
This "enhanced edition" is just a bunch of lies, there's nothing new, the performance is exactly the same, no new features are added, this just generates a "placebo effect" in those who really believes that this really changes anything.
There are plenty of videos on youtube that demostrates this, and I also experienced this by myself.
In 12.5.4/12.5.5, if you had green tint, go to brightness settings and disable the smoothen transitions option. It's enabled by default and fixes the tint issue (for me).
Make sure you change the brightness once.

How To Guide Force 120Hz Guide (S22)

[Tested. Works as of One UI 4.1 September, 2022 Patch AVHH Build]
Hello again! A handful of you may have seen my S21 guide for forcing 120Hz through pretty much every app and while the camera is active (looking at you, Snapchat!!). The previous guide doesn't apply to the S22 series because Samsung changed the range of valid refresh rate values all the way down to 1Hz.. WELL I still managed to break it... 0.1Hz as a value apparently works.
A kind user made a video based on my guide: Linked;
I also want to say that the August update seems to have broken something for some users, but I've re-applied this on said update and it still works fine on my end.
This is also for allowing 120Hz when the camera is active; not so much forcing 120Hz (some users got confused because of my poor choice of wording).
Before you start, make sure your refresh rate is set to Adaptive.
1. Download SetEdit from the google play store.
2. Open up to the system table.
3. At the very top, you'll see an option to add a new setting. Go ahead and tap.
4. enter this: min_refresh_rate
5. Save changes. For the second value, enter: 0.1
6. Do this again but instead start with: peak_refresh_rate
7. Save changes
8. enter again, : 0.1
9. Save changes.
That's it! You'll still benefit from adaptive refresh rates when the screen is still and most apps will run in 120Hz regardless of their manifest. Enjoy a smooth Snapchat and everything else!
No.. Google Maps still runs at 60Hz; but rightfully so! It uses a lot of battery as-is.
If you want to undo this, carefully delete the lines we added and reboot the phone.
Screenshot 1: Snapchat 120Hz
Screenshot 2: Native Camera 120Hz
Thanks bossman. On it.

It won't 'force' games to run any higher than they are programmed to. It just allows the screen to go up to 120Hz in most applications that normally wouldn't.

For my Tab 8, on newest firmware I had to change the min_refresh_rate value to 120. Leaving the peak_refresh_rate at 0.1 Instantly locked to 120.
Actually tested this on my s22+ and the result was me having "grey" screen instead of black in 24hz, just deleted the "peak" and "min" values and restarted and was solved! If anyone getting this, that is the solution.

Re-applied just now and it seems to without any issues.
Any way to use system table or other means to allow adaptive refresh when battery saver is enabled? Even if peak is still 60 fps with battery saver on, seems like it would still improve battery life to have it drop down to 24 or whatever it normally does when there is no motion, though I may be completely wrong.
Why can't Samsung give what we want in the first place? Why don't we have the freedom of choosing what refresh rate our phones runs on, like for ffs

Not that I could find.. They fixed system table modifications for what you're asking for with One UI 4.0's release. Galaxy Max Hz App *might* be able to accomplish this but I'm not entirely sure.

The Beta Moderator's reasoning was that the phone's hardware couldn't handle the screen running up to 120Hz in every single activity.. part of that is proven incorrect and the rest I can't vouch for because no matter what I do some apps just refuse to go higher than 60Hz.
