Dark mode on stock for all apps?

Since the Op 3 has an amoled screen i would like to have as much black on the screen as possible at all time. I have enabled the dark mode already, but am kinda disappointed that it doesnt affect any 3rd Party apps like the google apps.
Does anyone know a way to get all apps black on stock os?
Preferably without root.
I found a lot about layer apps, how exactly do they work?
The word layer makes me think that they just make an overlay. Wouldnt it be easier to search the code in the app that defines the color of elements and change the values there?
Or just intercept the commands for the display an switch any white and black?
So what do you think is the best way to get as much black on the screen as possible?
Thanks for any input
Use cyanogen mod and install deep darkness its all black on most apps using cm theme engine

Would this enabled me to use the deep darkness theme(which looks great btw)? As far as I understood from a quick google search it is like a hub for themes. Is that right?

LG G8 Camera Silent Shutter

Anyway to do this? Or is there a decent aftermarket camera app that works well with this phone that has the silent shutter option?
its in the setting under general > shutter sound

My Tmobile G8 has no such setting.
Last I checked, there are several Silent Camera apps in the play store, which mute the system upon opening the camera. I tried a couple free ones, but they were made for older phones. I haven't tried them all, I was hoping the community might help figure out which ones work.
Open Camera works well and allows muting, but it can't use the wide-angle.
My good old Silent Boot app also became outdated with this phone, so a new one of those would be great as well.
I have the unlocked Amazon Alexa version of the phone and I also don't have the shutter sound mute option under settings. I will check out a 3rd party camera app.
If I use a 3rd party camera app will I be losing photo quality over the stock app? That's my only fear
Open camera >settings >useful features >shutter sound.

I just turn on DND temporarily. It turns that sound off. You could try to turn on vibrate only too. It's a hassle, I know.

Nope, not on this Tmo version of the phone. Which version of the G8 are you using?
Did you mean the app "Open Camera"? In the latest version of that app, it's under "more camera controls".

Most other apps I've tried aren't well integrated, have different processing, or won't use the wide camera.
We need either root (hah!) or a new Silent Shutter app that mutes the phone when the camera launches. The apps I've found on the play store are for older phones, let's hope a new one comes out soon.

You have all the other features on the Huawei camera and they are really good. But HDR is the best on the google camera.
Thanks for making this possible for us @viktorandreev, can you update if there is a new version of Google Camera?
Selfie camera not working, and Gcam is loading and starting very slowly
The android.hardware.camera2 API provided by Google is needed for the Google Camera to work. Huawei (Kirin proc) have little support for it and restricting functionality when installing third-party apps.
There are several levels of support for this API, (which you can consult in app "Camera2 API Probe" ). Huawei devices are on the "Limited" level .
If you want to have the full functionality of the GCam you need at least LEVEL_3 support.
The main goal is to get Google's magic HDR+ working. Sadly even the best working Google Camera APK provides partial HDR+ functionality only, among other issues.
Null.

Yes it works, tried it the other day. Might need to delete the old one, also leave the beta program that version seems to be the old one.

On my devices, TB won't do a damn thing if it can't acquire root. And given that the majority of users in the US (with their Snapdragon chipsets) can't root, that's a problem.
