Google Photos app enables itself everyday - Honor View 20 Questions & Answers

Hello, I don't use most of Google apps including the photos app, but since I disabled it the first time I set up my phone, it has enabled itself everyday, every morning I check up my phone I find it enabed and asking for an update on the playstore....
Did anyone have the same problem? This also happened on three occasions with Chrome and Gmail apps.

I did this with the Apps i can´t uninstall.

So the problem with google photos app persists, it enables itself every morning, even with this method.

I'm having this issue as well. So i use the ADB to debloat / uninstall it and it never appear again. You should try it.

Auto installing apps from the market.

Anyone know how to shut this off? I have about 40 apps that are repeatedly trying to reinstall themselves daily. I obviously don't want them to andnindont prompt them to. So annoying. Can I shut this off somehow?

Try going into Settings > Backup & Reset and untick automatic restore.
I have the same issue but unchecking that setting didn't work. Still installing the apps over and over again.

Are you using another app store, like app brain or the Amazon app store?

Nope. Only the android market. I tried clearing the cache and turning off the auto update. The only thing I haven't tried (yet) is a factory reset. I haven't figured out what is triggering it yet either.
Have u tried clearing data from Market and Google Framework Services?
or settings inside app market?...

If you are talking about apps automatically updating, then go to the Market/Menu/Settings and uncheck Auto-Update. And while there, if you don't want to be notified when an app has an update, uncheck the notification check box too.
But be aware that apps are usually only updated to correct issues or to add/improve features.
Good luck.

No, but if I do what other data will be deleted? Google accounts?
You won't lose anything, just delete the data and reboot (you're deleting locally, not from the servers). Account will reset it's self. You may still get the auto download, but once you uninstall they should stay uninstalled...
Hit the settings button in the pull down. Select Apps, use the All tab and the clear data button will be under the apps I mentioned...

9.0.5/9.0.6 OOS 5T issues with 'OK Google' access for Google Voice

No matter how many times i delete/retrain the voice model, diaable/renable/update the Google app, the Google app never actually activates the 'Access with Voice Match' option as seen in the picture. It's not 'greyed out' per se, but when i select it and click 'yes I'm in and 'finish', nothing actually happens and it just remains deactivated, as seen in the picture. Any advice would be welcome.
Uninstall google app updates from play store. Enable google voice. Update google app. All will be good.

When I remove update and go to the voice settings, the option is truly greyed out, see screenshot.
I had the exact same problem as you before. It allows me to enable it after I remove all google update. Try clear cache and reboot? Good luck.

I am. No luck, just tried.
I have the same issue! Removing the update fixes it, but once Google app updates itself it's turned off again. I submitted a bug report, you should do the same! Hopefully it gets fixed.
Same for me on ob31
What i did was to uninstall updates for google app and disable autoupdate from playstore
Also if you uninstall the update and retain voice settings, the voice commands will still work if you update again but you don't open google assistant settings

Would work if I could get the setting to activate in the first place at all, but like I said, whether I remove the update or not it's either greyed out or just plain doesn't activate.

Tried clearing cache/reboot after downgrading, option still greyed out.
Also having similar issue, I get voice recognition after initial reboot, but then does not recognize voice thereafter.
Great news! OOS 9.0.7 has fixed this issue for me completely. I am now changing channels on SiriusXM app via OK Google voice command while listening through my car stereo's Bluetooth and shifting gears at the same time. Brilliant.

Question: Can I Safely Uninstall Apps from Google Play that are Disabled on My Phone?

Hi Everyone,
I have a Samsung S20+, but this pertains to all Samsungs.
There are certain apps that cannot be disabled or uninstalled on my phone (Ex: Samsung Internet and Microsoft Your Phone Companion). The options to Disable are greyed out and there is no option to Uninstall like other apps.
When going to these apps within Google Play, however, I see the option to uninstall both. I don't want to mess anything up on my phone, but does anyone know if it's safe to uninstall from Google Play and not mess up your phone?
Thanks in advance.
You can use adb to disable both of these.

Question Gmail notifications still don't work

From the early june i still have no notifies for mail in gmail accounts. I try all the possible solutions, also a new Clean flash of the original rom, but the behavior is the same: i receive the notifies only manual opening the gmail app.
Try switchcing with custom rom (crdroid) and notifies works, but i need the original oos, so it's not a solution.
I think that is a play service related problem due to on the end of july after a update of play service the notifies come back to work... But... Another update stop them working.
Have you got a working solution?
I start a new work that use gwork suite, so i still not receive also the work mails .
Thanks
The same issue. (Battery optimization turned off)
Try this, worked for me.
Reset the App permissions, it may be that an app or apps or something connected is causing the issue.
Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > see all apps > select three dots > Reset app preferences.
Then reboot.
This will not delete your apps data but you will have to provide permissions for all your Apps again.
Then ensure Gmail has Notifications enabled in its App info>Notifications.
Download this latest version of Gmail from apkmirror
2021.08.08.391791932.Release
Problem solved since installed it.
For me it stop working sometimes and when it does i reboot the phone, then go to settings, accounts , Gmail and resync it, then it works again

I've downloaded Oneplus Launcher 5.2.26 together with the Gmail app. Maybe the launcher is the reason for it being fixed.
BTW Launcher 5.2.26 fixed a lot of bugs on the launcher and now the 120Hz is better but not perfect. Scrolling too.
And dont forget to check "Dont Optimize" under Battery
I have installed latest Gmail and Launcher but not help.

I have the same problem with notifications. Until this is fixed, I'm using FairEmail to pull my gmail and the notifications work.
This really is not a issue limited to Oneplus. All my Android devices have poor Gmail notifications. I was under the impression that it was optimized using Doze: https://developer.android.com/training/monitoring-device-state/doze-standby
If you use something like Outlook Email, notifications are not restricted in the background. I would rather use Gmail, but it does not send notifications reliably. So, Outlook it is.
15th of november... Still have notifications problems.
