Bootloader locked after repair - Sony Xperia XA2 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I just got my phone from repair today and i was surprised.
My camera button and display had issues that's why I took it into repair.
When i got it back the bootloader was locked.
Is it possible to relock the bootloader on xperia devices?

Note 3 T-Mobile N9000 Bootloader Locked?

Hi, if I were to buy the note 3 tmobile n9000 from negri elec for $689.99, is the bootloader locked or not because at&t lock their bootloaders.
are there any other sites like negri electronics?
TMO has no history of locked bootloaders so probably not.
Probably not....
No, from my point of view it wouldn't be a locked one.

Not knowing the answer to something doesn't make it 50/50. Further there is a 100% chance that it will be what it will end up being.

OK I got turned around because you are talking about the ATT phone but the thread name is asking if the T-Mobile bootloader is locked. Yes the ATT one is locked. But I don't think the T-Mobiole one is. Which I see now you were not asking about or claiming. My bad.

If so, that'll be good

Where is a reliable place to get the LG G4 H815 model?

I'm looking around on ebay, and craigslist, and it's hard to gauge which ones are actually H815, not H815T or something like that. There's also the trouble of finding out which of these will have the lowest chance of bootlooping...
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

No GPS lock

Over the last month or so i noticed my GPS getting worse and worse, and no finally i can not get a lock.
I have two pixel XL and sitting side by side on my desk the second one gets a lock instantly. I believe they will swap this out under warranty however. Can the bootloader still be unlocked or has this been fully patched and even if i cant unlock the bootloader can i still root?
@JustusIV,
If you are on a Google Play version, bootloader can always be unlocked. If you are on a VZW version, you're playing Russian Roulette. If new device is still on 7.1, no problem. If 7.1.1, no unlock ability.

You can not root, if your bootloader is locked.

Agreed they are more expensive, but I wasted a ton of time(3 weeks) trying other companies, that in the end couldn't get the code.

Well, if it is IMEI-blocked by T-mobile because it was stolen or lost, the information may be shared with your Vietnamese carrier, and it will fail to work in Vietnam.
Before you buy a used phone, make sure it has a clean IMEI.

You may have several options if the IMEI block is the reason.
Ask T-Mobile to recover your phone and remove the IMEI block. Only the original owner who is a T-Mobile subscriber can do it.
Use it as a WiFi-only device.
Sell it for parts/repair.
Buy a new phone and make sure it has a clean IMEI and is SIM unlocked.

Well, it is locked by the cell towers. There is nothing you can do if that device was stollen and locked. This is probably the only example when tower lock it justified. There is practically nothing you can do to spoof your IMEI (not saying that is a crime), and no cell tower will let you in with this IMEI.

I think it's better to return the phone to the seller, asking for a refund. The IMEI record clearly shows that it is a lost or stolen phone.
