You should have warned at least that some of them (or all of them?) aren't universal apps. I tried to TRY the Music app and it replaced the system Music app and it's all Chinese now. And it can't be uninstalled now without root access.

Can you tell me how, without rooting the device ? I'm pretty frustrated right now because I can't even disable the new Music app.
edit: OK, through the app settings I managed to uninstall the latest version and (thank god) the old one was present.
I can't install most of them on my P8. Also they are terrible, mostly in Chinese, and icons are badly positioned. Where did you get those apps?

Actually these are updated version of huawei default apss, and work good for me, but if you think these are useless, tell me, i will try to remove the thread

Don't remove it, just edit the original post so that it mentions that they are the CHINESE apps and not the INTERNATIONAL apps and they may not install or work.

gapps aren't in this build yet, this is just a test:good: I need some more opinons first
Opinion? Catch first one! Really fast and clean. Battery won't drain fast(no apps which will drain it faster). Everything is another cleaner and faster! More when I test it longer
I'm working on Extreme Minimal GAPPS but I must complete it for 4.2. And you may improve battery life rly bad for now

Hey! I really apreciate the idea of making a super lightweight ROM. This is exactly what i was looking for really, thanks a lot for this!
I have some problems to report though.
settings>shponglemania>one v = FC
also, there is no alarm application, i think that was a bit too tryhard an alarm app is not bloatware, it's a necesity, i know ofc that you can find a lot of apps to do this function on the app store, but none is so lightweight as the build in android one, i'd personally like to see this one back in next build.
also, if you press the clock in the notification menu you get an FC, prolly due to not having the alarm app
also the calculator was useful too, same thing as for the alarm, it's very light as it is, i doubt it can get any basic than it is. i see no danger to keep it
besides this i am very happy with this ROM. it's a nice base to build upon anything you want and expect your phone to be.

In shopngle ROM, Camera doesn't work. So will you check the camera here as well?
I do not why are you interested in Camera to work , there are so many third party cameras which work , if the Dev can help all of us to get a fast stable rom for daily use, I think that more than enough, lot of us arent buying a new phone because the Dev is keep HOV alive

My only comment would be don't make halo invisible. If you can remove it, great, but if it's there and just hidden then we may as well have the option of using it I never thought I'd use it, never mind like it, but after being stuck with it on shpongle 630 now I don't think I could go without!

First of all I don't own a magic device however I use the magic firmware on my Honor 8 so I can't cover up all info about magic usage but most of them.
So Q/A
I can't install third party launchers, why?
Because huawei blocked this on this firmware. To install third party launchers you'll need root.
So I got a launcher installed. But I can't see any widgets?
Open /system/etc/permissions/handheld_core_hardware.xml and find there will be a # before it which disables the feature. Just remove it and reboot.
Why doesn't notifications work?
By default third party apps gets disabled notifications (idk why) go to notifications and enable them for your new installed apps.
I can't see nfc option?
This is due to being disabled in earlier builds. However B536.1 evaluation versions brings nfc settings.
Some options are still in Chinese why?
They have informed you that the English language is still in beta (unfinished) this we might be able to fix with overlays.

What I can tell for now no I haven't seen any indication of it update wise . And since it's a test device rather then a official retail device it is likely they only are going to fix bugs etc. However I can't tell to a 100% but as its a half year since the device is released I doubt nougat is coming in near feature (if at all) there's no info as far as I can see (though I can't read or search in Chinese)

1) How to install launcher as system app, Please pls guide. I'm dying to install Neon, Zero.
2) How to install Ultra battery mode? - it is present in Honor 6 and it's awesome!

1. Without root is not possible to install any 3rd party launcher except google launcher.
2. Do you mean the ultrabattery launcher which comes with huawei? If so it could be possible.
3. Resolution i doubt without root, and no idea about that feature.
4. We'll if you don't use navigation bar no, if you do it might work. Can't tell since I don't use that firmware atm but I never saw any fast switch for keyboard

Yes I am using a magic for the moment.
I've been trying to find it in the props and xmls, but I didn't find "carrier" or "operator" with a grep. It might be called something else.
Google Launcher doesn’ Work. After the installation, when I try to open it, appear an error message who advise I need to change launcher in Settings-Home but in Settings there isn’t “home”

Because huawei blocked this on this firmware. To install third party launchers you'll need root.
So I got a launcher installed. But I can't see any widgets?
Open /system/etc/permissions/handheld_core_hardware.xml and find there will be a # before it which disables the feature. Just remove it and reboot.
Why doesn't notifications work?
By default third party apps gets disabled notifications (idk why) go to notifications and enable them for your new installed apps.
I can't see nfc option?
This is due to being disabled in earlier builds. However B536.1 evaluation versions brings nfc settings.
Some options are still in Chinese why?
They have informed you that the English language is still in beta (unfinished) this we might be able to fix with overlays.

I am the happy owner of a Mate 20 X.
Previously, on my Honor Note 8, I had the double tap on screen to unlock. Extremely practical, for example just to see the time. And without having to use the physical button on the edge or lift the smartphone to unlock with the digital borrowing.
I looked for the option that was in the settings of my old Honor, but this option no longer exists, at least not here.
Can anyone tell me if this option exists elsewhere?
If this is gone, is it a choice of google or a choice of Huawei ?? In any case, I do not understand why to delete something that worked well and was very useful.

I never heard about it or seen it on m20x.
I had the hn8 to, but never use this feature.
I use windows flipcase on all my phones, so no use for this.
Remember whats smart for u, is maybe not smart for other people. [emoji1303]
I use AOD then you do not have to touch the screen to see the time.

There is option raise the phone or pick the phone to light up lock screen.
Orelse turn on Always on display (AOD) you can even get notification icons on AOD.
I visibly misunderstood ...
The double tap exists on many smartphones. I had it on my Honor Note 8, but also previously on the Honor Mediapad X1 and X2.
It's just very practical.
AOD is out of the question, it impacts the battery too much. I do almost half a day more without AOD.
Nobody to tell me if it's an Android setting or Huawei?
In any case, I do not understand why to remove an option when it works well.

You can find it under shortcuts & gestures, wake screen, double-tap to wake screen.

Cool function, I used on the previous phone but unfortunately I have no idea works after turning on . For nothing I did not use it and raise the screen. Is it with AOD or with a completely black screen.

I have 9.1, but sorry. Can't find in settings how to activate tap to wake function. I don't think it is here.

Exactly. I'm on 9.1.0. 300 ad don't have this as well.
