How to enable 3G on TMobile AWS 1700MHz for ATT Galaxy S3 i747

Thanks to TMOKIETH: i747 ATT version is now working on AWS 3G T-Mobile: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40121505#post40121505.

Canadian S3 i747M is NOT working permanently on AWS 3G at this time. Changes are lost on restart. Kind of like a tethered iPhone. If you would like to try it, please see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36410875&postcount=197

So you can use it on t mobile.
My question is, why not just buy a T-Mobile version if that's what you need. :scratches head:

Probably more roaming options or using LTE in certain situations.

Who said this was even possible? For all we know, these frequencies are disabled in hardware.​

That's assuming it'll be possible to use tmo without being a tmo subscriber.

oooh... this is my first LTE phone so I was unaware that it may be hardcoded into hardware...did the the s2 sh!trocket not have the ability to toggle LTE on/off? (even after flashing custom ROMs and tweaks?)

Means some people are saying its not possible to do... I am still optomistic but from reading different threads I was informed that there is a difference of hardware which would make it impossible to make i747m work with tmobile 3g.

Any developer working on this?

Hi guys, and Korean-version-friends!
I've brought my F180K to Germany and here it is not connecting to UMTS services with my German vodafone SIM. (USIM required say the Software, however as I have a fully working HSUPA with my SIM on other devices, this must be a USIM ... )
Making/recieving calls no problem. Tried to modify apn (I'm with vodafone.de). No help.
Any Idea?

Update your device through ota then it will work.

i have need your help please

just use the taco root method and the revolutionary s-off method. with s-off you can use any sim card on it without needing an unlock code. i can confirm that both at&t and t-mobile sim cards will work even though t-mobile has no service where i live but at&t does

If you are wanting to use it on straight talk however you will need to have the flash kit and i believe you can flash it without even being s-off

Does anyone know where I can get The app Galaxy Tools? I used to have the app with the 3.1.8 update app but my SD card got corrupted and I had to Format it. I know that development was halted and the link removed, but I can't even find anything about the developer to see if he still excepts donations/payment for it. If someone can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated. I used it mostly to get My MSL Code and enable all Notification Toggles.

Thank you friend, now does anyone know if this works on MM 6.0? I installed GT 3.1.5 first but get no app icon to open it. And if im correct i have to open it at least once to apply the 3.1.8 update. Any thoughts?

This version was in the public domain for free. Idone's thread said it would no longer be supported.

hi there recently i add 2 user in fingerscan that is me and my wife .... so my question is.... can this scanner show me when the my self or my wife log in the phone . tq

U should have added urself as a new user and then associated ur finger print to it. This would show who has logged in
