[Q] Broken Huawei Ascend P1? - Huawei Ascend P1

Hi Folks, I have a problem with my Huawei Ascend P1. I tried to change the internal battery but I think while trying that, I might damage the phone. After I did that. I wont start up unless I plug it in, it only boots up to the Huawei Screen, vibrates and the turns off.
The funny part is it even boots up in that way without a battery (always plugged in).
The question is the following, what do you think is the problem here? Something got disconnected? May I have broken the battery flex or maybe the power button flex?
Thank you in advance

You probably have something disconnected, take out the battery and examine the area for any small wires and slots. This is usually the case, because the device stills boots when plugged in.

I checked it and everything seems to be fine. I even tried with another power button flex but it keeps doing the same thing, booting up, and going off

Have you tried doing a factory reset?

Yes, but the only button that seems to work is volume down. I even changed that flex but the problem is still there
I'm clueless...

HTC One X Won't Power On Or Charge

Hey, I got a HTC One X today and used it for about 2 hours, and after going into location settings the phone froze for a while, then eventually it switched itself off. I couldn't get it to switch on, and when I connected it to the charger, I noticed the LED was no longer lighting up when connected to the charger.
So I done some reading, and heard that if you hold the power button for 10 seconds, its basically the same effect as pulling the battery on other phones. So I held it for 10 seconds and the phone booted up, it got the the lockscreen straight after booting up, when I tried to unlock it, I realized that it was frozen again. Then after a while it powered itself off again, so I tried to power it on, once again it was not working. So I tried holding the power button for 10 seconds, this time its not working, no matter how many times I've tried it doesn't work.
The phone wasn't rooted, I never done anything to damage it, I read that if you hold the power and volume down it will go to the bootloader, where I would be able to factory reset the phone, but even after hold those 2 buttons, still the phone is showing me no sign of life.
What should I do?
try to put in under charging, is the led red?
if it is, wait 10-15 minutes and try to go into fastboot with power button and volume down, and do a factory reset, or fist you wipe all your things try again to boot it up, maybe it was just without battery charge. is your phone new? or it's secondhand?

The phone is second hand, but condition wise its practically new, there's doesn't seem to be any damage, and its still under warranty, the seller said that he never had any problems like this.
When you says "put in under charging" do you just mean charge it? If so I have done that with both the computer and the AC adapter, and the LED is not lighting up.

Try plugging the phone into your PC via the official usb cable,
I know you've done that, but Whilst it's plugged in, press volume down & power at the exact same time and keep them held until your bootloader screen shows.
The good news is, I've had this happen to me - i just kept trying.

Tried this, didn't work, tried again to be sure. I can't believe I have such a nice looking phone infront of me and it won't even switch on.
Some people say leave it connected to your computer for about 10 mins, so I'm going to try this now.

Yeah, I you should be leaving it plugged in.
Next step is to get Android SDK installed on your pc, even though it appears to not come on, you might still be able to run a fastboot charging script that will force your phone into its bootloader.

I have SDK installed, used to use it for my G1, not sure if things are the same for the One X. But what your saying kind on sounds promising.
I will look around to see how I can force that, or do you already know how?

Update your packages on Android SDK
place the fastboot charging script in the same folder that fastboot is located on your pc
Usually: C:/Android-SDK/platform-tools
Double click the script
I have the script, it but won't let me share it to you.
It's on XDA though somewhere.

Doing a search for "fastboot charging script" doesn't find me much to do with it.
Would you be able to upload it to mediafire, or anywere else?

Ok, downloaded, and tried it now, but it only says waiting for device, so I guess its ain't being detected at all in this state.
The phone was connected for about 30 mins now and still the LED won't come on.
Leave the phone connected to the charger for a few hours. If it doesn't want to work, try pressing various combinations of volume and power buttons. Otherwise I suspect you have a brick.

I left the phone connected all night last night, and still the LED didn't light up, I tried every combination. I don't think its a brick because I wasn't doing anything at the time, and the phone wasn't even rooted.

Mine doesn't blink at all.
The thing I notice aswell after leaving it charge all night, is that it doesn't even get slightly warm. I can't believe HTC get away with releasing faulty crap like this. I had a 2 hour teaser before this started... Good job HTC.
Edit : Oh well, I gave up, I tried everything and anything and it wouldn't work, so I've sent it to HTC for repair since its still under warranty.
Edit2 : It took them a while, but there finished repairs now, and its on its way back to me. They replaced the Mainboard and the battery.
hello..just for sharing,.just now i woke up from bed and see that my phone cannot turned on.. you know what, during charging last nite, i forgot to off the screen(press the on button) so that my phone screen was kept turning on all the night,,.. i'd try to connect it with the charger but it still didnt work.no LED at all. after i read the comment from some of u, i decided to connect it to the PC .. fortunately, the red LED came out..

Hello, I have an sgh-i747 it was running task650s rom and one day it just randomly shut off. I tried everything and was told to buy a jig to put the phone into download mode. I bought a jig, plugged it in, still nothing. When I plug it into the computer it shows up as QHSUSB_DLOAD #3 (im using a mac).
What should I do next? All I did was plug the jig into the USB but nothing happened.

Is your warranty up? Did you try a different battery? Sounds like a hardware failure. How long were you running tasks650 before the problem occurred? Did you flash the ROM that is specific to AT&T? You could try contacting josh at mobiletechvideos.com. Head to his site and chat with him as he's quite knowledgeable. I don't use a mac so i'd have no idea what that error code means. Sorry i wasn't much help. Good luck

It does sound like a hardware rather than firmware issue. Did you try another battery in the phone or try the current battery in another device? If it isn't something as simple as a completely dead battery, it could be a short somewhere on the motherboard.

I just got my phone back from Josh. My power button was shorted on the board so he fixed me right up. The symptoms on my phone were it would get to Samsung screen and subsequently power off. Same in DL mode so it could very well be that your power button is shorted in a manner which it just won't power on at all. Hopefully that's all it is. 40 bucks and you're back up and running

No complaints here. Its better in mostly every way (battery life, speed, looks etc). Best part is not having to put a custom rom on it since its a nexus. Only thing the Galaxy beats it in is that it has a removable battery so you could carry around two batteries. I got a 2amp car charger and the phone charges pretty quickly on the car charger and home charger.

[Q] Dead/bricked phone

Hi! Some time ago I wrote about not working volume buttons. Yesterday I left my phone connected to charger, and it was charging all night. This morning I found the phone turned off, I tried turning it on, but it doesn't do anything! Connected to PC - nothing, connected to charger - nothing, removing/inserting battery - nothing, other cables/chargers - nothing. It's just like without battery. Is there any way to fix it? Is it bricked? Few details about it: I have this phone about 2 months, stock 4.3 with root, locked bootloader, never damaged (falling into water, on ground etc.)
I'm Sorry , it's seems like bricked device

one and only option - flash stock 4.1.2 firmware with flashtool
if this does not work may be your phone is bricked. The only way is go to sony service center and act as a dumb , (dont tell them that you are rooted your device and tell them i dont know anything about rooting,etc..)so, usually they dont have much time and they'll replace you with new handset.

That's tragic for your xperia and as you say you haven't done anything that may cause this problem than maybe it was like a short circuit or electrical surge which fried the phones chip and make it dead because as ansebovi said, if it would hv been bricked than it would hv flashed the led atleast.

[Q] Broken Huawei Ascend P1?

Hi Folks, I have a problem with my Huawei Ascend P1. I tried to change the internal battery but I think while trying that, I might damage the phone. After I did that. I wont start up unless I plug it in, it only boots up to the Huawei Screen, vibrates and the turns off.
The funny part is it even boots up in that way without a battery (always plugged in).
The question is the following, what do you think is the problem here? Something got disconnected? May I have broken the battery flex or maybe the power button flex?
Thank you in advance

HTC charging issue

I have unrooted stock carrier locked phone but recently my phone has been exhibiting statnge behaviour when charging. This all started happening after I had a big crash after I tried to use HTC connect... Usually when I charge my phone the screen might come on breify by itself once or twice and display that it is entering rapid charging or normal charging. But now I've noticed that the screen comes on at random times and stays on!
Google searches reveled that it can be a settings g in developers menu but I haven't even enabled that!
Another Google's search said it could be a faulty cable but I have taken very good care of my cable being careful to never kink it and when I try to wriggle it it doesn't seem to have a short.
Any help on this would be appreciated thank-you

Check to make sure that there isn't lint or something like that in the port. Something similar happened to me. You can tell if something is in there if you plug the cord in but it isn't seated properly and you can rock the cable back and forth when it's plugged into the port. If so, use a sewing needle to dig it out (power off first). When I did it I couldn't see it in there and didn't feel it at first digging around. After multiple times of plugging it in and having to push it in hard to get a good connection, the lint had packed down and it took a bit of scraping around in there to get it out

Are you using a QuickCharge power adapter? The thing I've noticed, is that with QuickCharge it disconnects and reconnects between 55-65% (and therefore the screen lights up), in order to adjust the power output, so that the battery won't be harmed.

But now it seems it is doing that and then the screen won't turn off... actually all this started happening after I had a catastrophic crash when trying to access HTC connect. The phone rebooted then since then, so I may try a factory reinstall although I admit but the two issues might issues might not be connected.

Have you tried another adaptator ?
My view is your charger issue.

you can also try to clean the phone charging port using old toothbrush and little amount of alcohol. I had the same issue with charging and it helped
