Well I am not sure what your problem is, but i think u meant that when a person is calling you and if you are already on another call, you dont get "cal waiting" . .Right?
Well there can be 2 reasons for this:
1.You have to enable call waiting service from your operator. you can check it in Dual sim settings> Call settings (in my XT1033) . .if not just call your operator's customer care executive.
2.If you are calling in one sim, and if somebody else tries to call you in the other sim, then you wont get call waiting. . .They will hear that your number is switched off. . This is not a problem with your phone, this is because moto g is a "Dual-Standby SIM" phone . .While the dual sim phones you may have tried before is "Dual-Active SIM" phones . .most of the samsung phones are dual active . .sorry, i believe we cant do anything, as it is a hardware feature, not software . .for more info google "difference between dual-active and dual-standby"
Hope this helps

My problem With Moto G4 Plus that I can't tell if the person who I am calling has a phone call going or not.
different way to express my problem, in many cell phones when you call someone who already has a call on going it tells the person who is calling that s/he has a call on going.
thanks for any tips.
any help will be appreciated

Notification for Call Waiting (Other Person)

On pretty much every phone I've ever previously owned, if I call someone who's in the middle of another call, I get a little beep and a notification displayed on screen saying "Call Waiting" or equivalent. On my HTC Desire, my first Android phone, there is no notification. Is there any way to make it tell me?
Is your Call Waiting (in Call settings) notification ON?
If by that, you mean:
Settings>Call>Additional Settings>Call waiting
then, yes. But that setting is for me recieving another call while I'm already on the phone. What I asked for is a way to be notified if the person I'm calling has me on call waiting.
I'm sorry, it seems I didn't pay enough attention to your original post.
I apologize but I don't know the answer.
Yea I found this pretty annoying also. Would be cool to find an APP on the market that notifies you with a beep or a vibration that another call is coming in
I don't know about you, but I get a beeping notification if someone's calling me while I'm on the phone. Might be done by my provider though. I switched to this provider at the same time as I switched to this phone.
Well I got used to Bluetooth dialing (put BT to ear, push button, say "NAME" and it dials", but unfortunately the Desire and Android 2.1 do not offer it right now
My provider might have something to do with my "no notification" when another call is coming in. Hopefully Froyo 2.2 can be released soon because I think it does offer BT support
there is
I have noticed this bug with the original ROM too. After rooting and installing Pays ROM the beep was ok, loud and clear.
Also on my current ROM (DeFroST 0.6) call waiting work.
(Payed) App from the market: http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.droidea.callwaiting/
dboy0911, you made the same mistake ferus initially made. I'm not asking for the notification if someone's calling me. I want the notification if I'm calling someone who's already on another line.
i miss that in android, like my nokia, its defenatly not operator option since the same sim was on my nokia and it did notify me
Yeah, Rabia seems to be the first person getting exactly where I come from with this..

whats the use my friend, still no fix to my knowledge
Galaxy Tab does it so its possible, I actually found out that all Samsung phones even windows ones will actually display call waiting msg if ur calling someone who's is on a call currently, I actually might go for galaxy my self unless someone try a Samsung Android on HTC
It is very important to display call waiting msg. Why HTC does not support this basic feature.
I just checked and there's an option for "Vibrate on call waiting" in CM7. Don't know if thats AOSP or CM specific though.
It's not in the AOSP.. Or at least not as of FroYo, which is what the HTC Desire officially has as the latest. I know this because my colleague has a Nexus One and it doesn't have that option either.
I see. A good excuse to start rooting and loading CM then :]

Sorry, but that's not reason enough for me to change my ROM. I'm very happy with Sense UI. Though I would like to try CM tbh.. Still not gonna try it though.

I'm stumped as to what the password may be,tmobile haven't been no help, they just told me to ring HTC
Sadly nobody knows
When I was with Three it had the same option, but the password was non-existent as I hadn't enabled roaming with them, it had to be done over the phone. Dunno if T-Mobile are the same.

Cheers, tmobile said they could suspend the line but I wouldn't be able to make or receive calls or txts, same really as if I put it into flight mode, all I wanted was to stop incoming calls when roaming, the one x has this feature so I should be able to use it,bloody frustrating
UPDATE- iv tried the PUK,PUK2,PIN2,none of these work, htc didnt have a clue,t-mobile had even less, whats this world coming to when theres a feature on your phone and neither the maker or carrier has any clue, pathetic is an understatement.
Afaik Call barring password should be given by the mobile network company. In your case it should be T-Mobile.
Found out eventually even tho it is a feature on the one x,T-Mobile doesn't use the feature.

First of all, please don't take this as offensive or insulting.
1) Do you have balance on your mobile plan?
2) Are you 100% sure that it's not caused by your provider?
3) Is your SIM card damaged in any way?
I could understand if one phone could and the other couldn't, however, in your case, I'm 99% sure it's not caused by the phone itself, rather by your provider, therefore I cannot recommend that you factory reset your phone.
Hello thank you for reply??
yes my mobile plan has 4g.5g volte, sms and normal call so i should be covered there
And my SIM is working in other phones, my SIM is i the 1 place..
thanks

If you can call people normally using the dialer app (not using WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.) then you should contact the customer support of your provider.
Just getting this out there, I think Xiaomi makes sub-par and super bloated software.
However, calling, messaging, and other core components of mobile phones have never lacked in terms of quality for me.
Check your APN those are probably incorrect
Hello again
My APN is completely correct..
If you're positive your APN is correct then try turning off and on chat features in messenger settings

Question Call restriction for Chinese version , What if the Device unlocked in china

I have a friend in China who can buy the phone for me . He can make a phone call from the device using a chinese sim , so this will solve the restriction of the call function if used overseas??

It will not solve that problem. After putting in any other sim that is not china base will lead to call function be disable after some random time.
