Z1 Compact boot loop.. - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a problem with my Z1 Compact..
I followed this guide: http://dottech.org/147609/how-to-root-sony-xperia-z1-compact-on-android-4-3-jelly-bean-guide/
And after I have flashed the DoolLordkernel (fastboot flash boot boot.img) the phone is stuck in a bootloop. Normally i would just remove the battery - but this is not possible on the Z1 Compact..
So how do I get it out of bootloop? so i can get it into fastboot and flash a proper kernel/boot.img ?

what did you do after you turned it off?!
i am indefinitely stuck in a bootloop :crying:

Did someone manage to get out of this? I'm also in a boot loop after flashing boot.img. Even though I switch the phone off by the red reset button, whenever I try to turn the device on it goes again into the boot loop...
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Phew!! I got it working again!
Thanks God I diddn't need to go through that hassle after all (I mean: getting a stock firmware and flashing). I just flashed Z1c_DooMLoRD_AdvStKernel_FW-757_v04.img, which is a boot.img, and the phone booted again.
Now, may I please humbly swear a bit to whomever put out there a boot.img for the Xperia Z1 compact, that bricks the Xperia Z1 compact? If someone's interested, I closely followed the instructions from this link http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_amami and I run into a boot loop after flashing the boot.img included in cm-11-20140504-SNAPSHOT-M6-amami. So, be careful if someone wants to flash this rom.

Did you use the right version of the boot image file for your phone?
Don't forget that cm11 is still in development for these phones. There is no stable version yet.

Hmm.... I guess I did. Picked the least unstablr of them all. I know that s**t happens, but Gee!, to the point of bootlooping? ?

[Q] How to boot to recovery?

Hey peeps - another annoying n00b question (sorry)
I have the Doom v3 kernel and stock 2.3.3
Just want to know how I can boot into recovery so I can install a ROM zip?
I have tried every combination of buttons on startup including Power then tapping and holding Back and I cant get into recovery mode.
Please help i really want to try the GingerStation rom
Turn device off. When off press the power button once, then start tapping any hardware button untill device boots into recovery. You can also try doomlords xCharge app from the market.
Sorry i havent been very active in the forums recently. I will be updating rom soon with some cool features and a new name

AFAIK you have to boot into recovery the standard way. Like the person above described. Once you do that CWM creates a directory in /cache called "recovery" then xCharge works fine
OmG it worked.. thanks alot guys!!

Are you rooted?
If not, do you know how to do that?
No, it's completely stock, I've read I have to flash a file in recovery, I've got it, but I don't know how to reboot in recovery with button combination.
To get cwm, root using doomlords easy toolkit, search development
Then install this app and click install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pvy.CWMinstaler
After you have installed that, boot on your phone, and when you see the sony ericsson screen, repeatedly tap volume down until you get into cwm
WOW! It's very easy this way, thanks a lot
Another quick question, now bootloader is unlocked?
Can I flash any custom roms like any other device? (flash in recovery mode)
Thanks again.
That way i showed is to install CWM with a LOCKED bootloader.
This will allow you to flash STOCK based roms, no others
This is not unlocking bootloader, just getting CWM
If you want to unlock your bootloader, you have to go to the sony website or pay to unlock it
Oh, so I can't flash CM roms, but I can with stock based, right?
I knew about Sony website, but I though there was other ways to have the bootloader unlocked.
Well, thank you a lot, now I have to find a good stock based rom.

[Q] R800x won't boot even after flashing stock firmware

I unlocked the boot loader and I'm assuming the phone automatically updated over night, because now it won't boot, only vibrates. I tried using the flashtool and even though it says it does it successfully, it still won't boot. I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126358 referenced but the file it links to is not up. Can some one reup the file some where or give me some other advice?
Well does the led flash red 3 times?

I am pretty sure your phone can't update automatically:fingers-crossed: with Sony you have to accept the update.Try flashing ftf stock rom found hear http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589399 this will bring you back to stock.
Hi just noticed you tried that! Follow the guides on this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/SE_Xperia_Play I have found them to be useful
Try to flash a kernal in fastboot then a rom, then if you want to go back to stock try that aftet.Get your phone stable first :fingers-crossed:

Whoops! No problem you can boot your phone into fastboot via flashtool/doomlord's fastboot via ADB you don't need to press search button for that.

Use Sony's own flash tool called EMMA.
Everything you need can be found from there: http://developer.sonymobile.com/2012/12/06/new-flash-tool-from-sony-for-unlocked-xperia-smartphones-video-beta-download/
And read every instruction you find. Every single one of them.

[Q] How to enter Recovery Mode on Ion

Hey, I have a friend with a Sony Xperia Ion (as identified by my computer) she's locked out of it; someone else tried to figure out her pattern and entered it more than 20 times. As far as I know, she doesn't know her secret question or her google account information, either.
My plan to try to bypass the pattern lock is to use AROMA file manager to delete the gesture.key file in /data/system, hopefully that'll remove the pattern lock. So here are my questions:
How can I mount the filesystem on USB to transfer AROMA to her SD?
How can I get into recovery mode to flash AROMA?
The second one is what I really don't get. How does recovery mode work on the Xperia Ion? I can't seem to get it to boot into recovery. Everything I've tried (Hold volume up/volume down/both while powering on) still causes the phone to boot normally.
Did you flash recovery before? If yes you may have to rap SONY logo 5-6 times while booting to get in to recovery or press volume + button 5-6 times while booting. Remember Sony phones do not have stock recovery. You have to flash custom recovery.
And I know another way to remove lock code. Just flash stock ftf. But are you going to loose all the apps.

Xperia S bootloop

Hello guys, i had an Xperia U with unblocked Bootloader and every time I had a single bootloop, (Only Sony logo appeared) i just pulled my battery off and installed Stock Ftf thorough flash tool. Now I bought an Xperia S and I am thinking of installing a ROM.... What shall I do in case a boot loop appears, since the battery is not removable? I really need an answer guys.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Answer was given by Envious_Data
one buzz ~ force off
3 buzz ~ hard reset (like pulling your battery)
hmmm it depends on what your looking to do
if you want to keep your bootloader locked folow these steps
root your device
install cwm for locked bootloder
make or downloadflashable zip of stock rom
flash if bootloop
for unlocked bootloader
Root
install cwm (one for lbl works on ubl for obvious reasons)
install a custom kernel
(almost all for xperia s custom kernels have recoverys commonly cwm and some with twrp)
make or download a stock rom
i dont know what you do with your phone so this is a mostly failsafe fix

So, in case i fail doing sth i must have a Stock ROM zip in my phone's memory, and when my phone starts boot(loop)ing, i should enter cwm and flash the Zip.Thanks bro!

You can switch off using by pressing Volume up and power key while the device is on. This is similar to removing battery of the phone.
