[Q]bricked Huawei Ascend P1 - Huawei Ascend P1

hi, i have a problem with my p1.
i tried to flash a rom nut something went wrong and it bricked. the preblem is that i have the stock recovery that don't allow to install new roms nor restore backups. the other problem is that i cannot acces bootloader (holding volume- and main button and release the main then it vibrates) to connect the smartphone to the pc, install drivers and emulate the cwm.
what can i do?

If you are installing drives, you are probably using windows. I am not familiar about windows, but I played a lot with this device and I never got it bricked.
You can boot to bootloader just with vol- and power button, when the phone vibrates, you can release the power button and still hold the vol- button for some extra seconds (maybe 10 is enough). Then plug the phone to the PC and try `fastboot devices`. If you can see there you devices, you can than flash the recovery you will need, however if you cannot find here your device, your drivers are not installed correctly or your device is definitley bricked.

You wrote, that you have a stock recovery. You are able to get there? Do you know which firware revision you have installed before it got broken?
If you know the revision, you can choose your version or a higher version from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40901091#post40901091, put the UPDATE.APP to [SDCARD]/dload/UPDATE.APP and try to flash. Power off the phone, than press both vol- and vol+ buttons, press power button and when the phone vibrates, you can release the power button. The stock recovery should flash your update, or it will complains about version. If you are in this stage, I think your phone is not bricked.

[Q] Can't boot to recovery

I have a F400K G3 (Korean Olleh). It's rooted and bumped. I flashed the bumped TWRP image via Flashify and rebooted recovery via Flashify. It works. But when I try boot to recovery from a complete shutdown. It just boots into safe mode. I did exactly what was stated in the Bump thread (Power+V. Down, when logo appears, release then press again quickly) and also tried substituting V. Down button with V. Up, but it still wont boot to recovery. It just keeps going into safe mode. The video provided in the thread was using an AT&T model so maybe it differs from every variant. I want to know if I'm doing something wrong or the instructions are wrong.
Thank you.
You tried without releasing? Just keep holding buttons

I have tried it as well without releasing. Does the same thing. And it never shows the reset screen. It just goes directly to the boot animation. Rebooting from Flashify also doesn't show the reset screen but it does get to TWRP. But I need to boot it from complete shutdown because I'm gonna test a Flashable zip ROM without root so rebooting using Flashify would be impossible.
Bump.
Seriously. Anyone?
I am subscribing because I have the exact same problem. I have tried every key combination I could find for the G2 and G3 but no luck...
This is exactly the kind of problems you get when using stuff like Flashify. The holding of the buttons etc you mentioned should work. Are you sure you aren't connected using a micro usb?

No, I am not connected to USB. If I reflash the recovery using ADB will it work? But I do have some worries because I'm using KitKat bootloader on a Lollipop Stock-based ROM (here) and I think I may get some errors.
It's not very important right now because I have root now and can reboot to recovery using Flashify.
I think all korean models cant enter recovery via hardware keys, mine is F400L and have the same problem.
Untouched LG G3
I have a completely untouched LG G3 uk version only official software no root etc and mine won't go into hard reset mode. I have tried 3 or 4 times it always goes into safe mode

Turn off the phone completely. Press and hold Power and Volume Down. When the LG logo appears, release. After a split second, press volume down and volume up. White screen asking you to reset will appear. Press Yes two times using Volume buttons.

Any remedies? I justed from stock to cm12 LG g3 F400L..
Cant go to recovery mode. Cant flash anything..
Same prob,always going to safemode.f400k rooted,cloudy2.5
i've Lg g3 F4ooL and using Resrruction remic 5.5.5
I stuck in a Bootloop and my device is also not booting into Recovery or safe Mode.
Lg flash Tool is also not Connecting to my device in Downloadmode.
I think There is NO solution At ALl
Has anyone solved this issue?
to get in recovery on F460s, worked on mine, Press Vol-up + Power, as the logo appears release the keys and press Vol-up + Vol-down, you will boot into recovery.
I have the same issue, cant go into recovery using hard buttons on F400K. Any one able to succeed in this?
Same issue on LG G3 F460S, no combination of power + volume buttons + releasing them and pressing again when LG logo appears works. The device go straight into booting system and gets stuck. Is there any other method - maybe short-circuit some pins on the motherboard, to boot into recovery or do a system reset? Please...
OK, turns out that the combination is different for Korean models of G3, as misbah711 wrote, volume UP + power, when logo appears, release and press both volume UP + volume DOWN. If that does not work, try again, but release only the POWER button and press immediately volume DOWN (while volume UP was held all the time). Also, I first tried it without the back cover, as I have to remove battery to turn it off, did not work. Then with the cover it did, not sure if it's an important detail or not.
However it's not the end of the story for me. An image with Korean text appears, and nothing. No combination of power and volume buttons pressing does anything. I'm attaching the image. Also tried a web service to do Korean OCR and then used Google Translate - does not make any sense. Could anyone advise how to proceed and do a factory reset on this device? It won't boot into the system (gets stuck), no adb or any other communication with it.
Edit:
Turns out that when the Korean text appears and I connect USB cable to my PC, adb works correctly. Typed:
adb reboot recovery
The phone rebooted into recovery and now I'm doing a factory reset on it. Looks like all will be fine.
i have d851 on stock kitkat. I flashed TWRP and Philz but no way i can get into recovery mode. it always goes to fastboot mode no matter how I reboot into recovery. Now i am looking for stock recovery image. or a way to fix the twrp/philz. ROM boots just fine.

HTC One M8 Stuck's on HTC Logo

I have HTC One M8 S-Off but not rooted. I tried downgrade to KitKat from Lollipop everythings gone fine until boot up.
Device tries open up but it's not. Device repeating boot again and again. Help me :crying:
Press and hold Vol Up+Power until phone turns off. When it turn off quickly release buttons and press and hold Vol Down+Power. If you do this correctly then you'll be in Hboot mode. Try to flash again your phone.
Are you flashing via fastboot or zip from SDCard?
Are you sure you used correct RUU for flashing?

Mostly correct, but once a reboot is forced, you don't need to hold the Power button, just Vol Down.

v500 Stuck Bootlooping - Cant Access TWRP

Hi all,
Have a brand new (to me) v500 that i bought and was able to root, flash twrp, and flash crdroid on yesterday. Today i flashed standard AOSP but now i'm stuck in a bootloop and cant figure out how to access twrp any more. Previously with crdroid on it i was accessing the bootloader/twrp via an app. So far all i can get to come up using hardware buttons is the download mode, and ADB isn't recognizing the device.
Any advice? I tried following a guide to revert to stock using the LG Support Tool but cant find the R&D tools to complete the tutorial.
Any help is appreciated.
Bump - $10 USD to whoever can help me solve this first
To enter twrp via buttons on v500:
Press and hold Power Button + Volume Down
When the LG logo shows up, release the power button only
Now press and hold the Power and Volume Up button while keeping your hold on the Volume Down button
When the factory reset screen appears, release your hold on all buttons
Follow On Screen Indications to make factory reset, but instead you enter twrp

b0li gave an invalid TWRP entry instruction.
Read How to enter recovery mode using key combination post #2.
In TWRP, do advanced wipe without internal storage.
Before you flash the ROM, check its checksum carefully to see if it is identical to the one on the server.

It turns off because you hold 3 keys and don't release them.
You must press them simultaneously and then release them immediately.

That did the trick, can't believe it was just because i wasn't pressing the keys exactly right. I was able to get back into TWRP and reflash the ROM so now everything is working. Still having trouble getting usb to recognize the device, so i can't flash anything else on there at the moment.

Perhaps the problem is not the usb socket or cable.
Blow out the socket with compressed air and try again.
If that doesn't work, then your OS may be a problem.
In this case, try [LIVE-ISO][FWUL]adb/fastboot without any installation and driver issues.
I tried another computer too, same result - the tablet recognizes the connection so it starts charging, and despite the USB settings in dev options being set for MTP, it doesn't connect.
I'll try your link later, but it seems like its a problem with the tablet compared to computer.

You can always transfer data using microSD or via WiFi tethering.
If via WiFi, I recommend the SwiFTP server - simple and reliable.
I tried to update Lineage and am running into an issue now where as soon as the LG logo pops up, a message that says "Secure booting error! Cause: boot certification verify" pops up almost immediately so I can't use the hardware buttons to get into TWRP. Any ideas around this one? Thanks again all!

Bootlooping my note 10! Help!

I've somehow managed to cause a bootloop that doesn't allow booting into download/recovery mode. Only posting here because i've ran out of ideas
Device model: N970F/DS, XSP variant.
Pretty much everything I did:
Flash the unofficial TWRP using Odin
Realizing that there is an official TWRP release and tried using the already installed "unofficial TWRP" to reflash "official TWRP" onto recovery which failed due to "size of image is bigger than target device".
Used Odin to flash "Official TWRP" via the AP slot and getting a failed message.
Booting into stock android successfully ONCE.
Rebooting and getting the bootloop.
A message with "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" is displayed every time I try to boot up the device. Here are some combinations I've tried with the results:
Plugging in USB cable connected to computer: Above message flashed for a few seconds, bootloops.
Holding down Power: Above message flashed for a few seconds, bootloops.
Holding down Power + Volume down: Above message flashed, bootloops.
Holding down Power button + Volume down with USB cable connected: Above message flashed, bootloops.
Holding down Power + Volume up: Above message flashed for as long as I hold down the buttons. Device turns off once I let it go.
Holding down Power button + Volume up with USB cable connected: Above message flashed, bootloops.
Quite a huge pickle i'm in eh? :silly: I'm currently downloading stock files, but with no access to download/recovery mode, I'm still stuck.
I've pretty much got no idea how to proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have I just bricked my faithful A70?

So I tried to install TWRP and followed the steps, used ODIN v3.14, it tried to upload something but failed with an error.
Now the phone has gone into a perpetual restart cycle:
1) Reboot (by itself or Vol Down + Power)
2) Blank screen with: "Galaxy A70 - Secured by Knox - Powered by Android"
3) Screen with: "This phone's bootloader is unlocked and its software integrity... - Press power key to continue"
4) Blank screen with: "Galaxy A70 - Secured by Knox - Powered by Android"
5) Blank screen with: "SAMSUNG" for a very long time
6) eventually back to step 1
****************
Is there a way to get back this phone?
I was flashed twrp normally and nothing happened for me. Did you pressed vol up+power ASAP after flash successful ? If not, go to download mode and flash again, then press vol up+power immediately.
I never managed to flash TWRP, ODIN displayed an error when I tried.
1. Your using the wrong version of odin. You need 3.13.3
2. Sounds like your not key comboing fast enough?
3. You can not hard brick the A70. If its in a boot loop, plug into pc and Continue to hold vol up and down till it boots to download mode. Flash latest stock version then reboot.

Get frija from the link in my guide under tools, install it on your pc, then use it to download your latest stock firmware. Make sure you have odin 3.13.3 as well
In frija, enter the model number and the region code of the A70
In my case it would be SM-A705MN/ TTT
Do NOT flash other models, it must be for your Model. Also, dont flash csc_home in this instance, use csc. When loading the AP file, it will take a little bit to load in and you may see odin has stopped working, ignore that and it will eventually load, make sure auto reboot is unchecked everytime you use odin. The first step in my guide says to download and flash latest stock firmware. Anytime your going to do modifications to a device, make sure to have the latest stock firmware first.
Many thanks for suggestions.
I managed to download the stock firmware from https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a70/firmware/SM-A705FN/BTU/#SM-A705FN and have uploaded it using ODIN 3.14 The phone has now started, like new / factory reset.
I am now setting it up (Samsung firmware) just to make sure I have got my phone back.
After I will try to zap and upload another ROM.

In download mode, Android 11, to exit, it litterly tells you on the screen to hold vol down and power to reboot. Vol up and power does nothing in this state. To get to twrp from download mode, hold vol down and power till screen goes blank and then press and hold vol up. This will boot to twrp. Other ways to boot to twrp is power off device, plug into pc, wait for it to charge, then hild vol up and power till it boots or if magisk is installed, use magisk reboot options.
Dude, your key combos and information is incorrect. You can not reboot to twrp from download mode by holding vol up and power.
Samsung changed the keymap combination to boot into recovery on 3.1, so to boot into recovery stock or whatever it is, just follow the steps:
Connect your cellphone to the USB port.
Press on Volume UP during boot.

My key combo is true, actually the wrong one is yours This is the valid way also on the latest bootloader but like haky86 said, on latest bootloader Samsung wants you to plug USB cable to do this.
So we are agreed, there is no way to get to TWRP unless you are connected to USB? For example, on my one old phone, I used to keep TWRP backups on the SD card, and I could restore anywhere, I did not need to be near the PC with a USB cable.
