Basically, I'm running the official Huawei Emotion UI JB Beta and I've got the device just how I like it (AOSP) but the one thing I can't figure out how to fix is the lock screen.
I wish to have the default 'Slide' option (pictured) but with the stock Jelly Bean font/clock appearance.

BUT I'd also like to enable a lock pattern like below. In AOSP JB you can have the 'slide' screen and the pattern but for some reason it isn't possible in the Huawei ROM.
Any idea how I can achieve this?

I've used a Chinese 4.1.1 sense 4.1 rom and believe me, it wasn't worth it. ROM was laggy and frequent crashes were getting to my nerve

Unfortunately it turned out its just a weird faked ICS which can strangely run on aosp kernel

I was able to do multiple widgets on my (pattern-secured) lockscreen on 4.3 via an xposed module, however it looks like the author of that module didn't update it for kitkat.
I've done some searching and haven't figured out how yet ... anyone have any success in this area?

This only works if the lockscreen is unsecured. I'm talking about a secured lockscreen (like with PIN or Pattern lock).
If you can't wait for it to be incorporated into a rom

it was like that since they push 4.2.2.
but theme can be downloaded and put it in the theme folder.
personally i didnt favor much of huawei themes since i use other launchers and make it system default and disable huawei launcher.

when keyboard opens doesnt push the items up, hmm what I mean, example when Im at facebook and keyboard appears I cant see what I type! on OriginalROM / Cyanogen working by default..

Aosp browser is exactly as it comes from aosp. It isn't changed by us. Also, we are not working on any KitKat issues. KitKat is dead

Or just install another phone app, I recommend Google. Phone app.
