No recoveries found for my device? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I am trying to root my note 3 but I am having nothing but problems. I factory reset my phone a couple times no just because I want to start from fresh. I even flashed a stock rom on it to make it new out of box.
So what I have done is.
1. root my phone from odin on my computer
2. download goomanager from play store
3. give it super user access.
4. Press the menu button and press "install openrecoveryscript"
5. Press "Yes"
6. Then I get a message saying "No recoveries found for your device"
Now I am stuck and have no idea what to do. I have a tmobile note 3

what exactly is the error? If you download the openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.7-hltetmo.img.tar and put it in the AP or PDA slot in odin, it should work. If it still does not work, I recommend asking in the official thread here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467001

Now booting to twrp is just powering off your phone, holding UP (I think) volume, home, and power right?

Yeah this is what it says in flashing instructions:
For Odexed, Deodexed, Kernels, and Modems use CWM or TWRP to flash.

For Factory Image use Odin.
__-- Unzip the downloaded file and flash ".tar.md5" via Odin. Ignore "SS_DL.dll". Will LOOSE data and root. Back to Factory State.
____-- If you boot loop go back into recovery, do a factory reset, and reboot.

And then you put it on the root of your sd card then boot phone into recovery (thats if your rooted and have a custom recovery , like cwm or twrp ) (get into recovery by having phone off press volume up and home center button and power button all simultaneously until I see the galaxy note II as creen let go of power but hold volume up and home buttun until your in recovery , then let go of buttons ) then go to install if in twrp navigate to the root of your sd card and selct the modem zip and press flash after that reboot and you should be good.

Thanks, I don't know whether or not there is a custom recovery, as I just got the phone and it came with the Jedi rom, not sure if that is cwm or twrp. And I've never rooted a custom rom or other zip before but this post certainly helps.
How do you put it in the root of SD Card? The internal one in the Note 2 right? Is there a specific folder I put it in?
And which file am I taking from the modem download? Just the .bin? Do I rename it?

Do yourself a BIG favor... slow down!!!! Start by doing a LOT of reading. Search button works great here... use it! You've never done any of this before, and if you do something wrong you are going to be posting "My phone won't boot" or some other thread that says your phone is dead.
Since you just bought the phone and it has a custom ROM, it has a custom recovery. Start by making a backup in recovery, and save to your sd card so you have something to fall back on.
Don't be silly an be too anxious and brick your device.
NO problem, if you have the jedi rom I can guarantee u have a custom recovery so just go ahead and take the steps I told u and u should be good . Having any trouble Pm me or watch some Youtube videos .

Well, yeah... I've been asking for hours today and a couple yesterday if anyone had a simple, step by step guide to flashing the modem.
I remember android central had some good stuff for the fascinate but none for the note 2 it seems.
What do you even mean by, "in recovery"? Inside the CWM or TWRP?

Based on your questions, DO NOT ATTEMPT to Flash the modem. You need to read up much more BEFORE YOU START.
One, wrong flash and you are screwed. Make sure you back up your EFS partition before you start so you dont loose your IMEI.

Do I take just the bin file onto the sd card or all these files in a folder?

I cant seem to find an updated guide with files to root and install a custome recovery on the sprint note 2 with 4.3 can someone help me find a link or get me the files etc?

I went to cyanogenmods website and ran the installer as directed. That installed cyanogenmod and rooted the device automatically, then you can download and flash any of the other custom ROMs on this site.

Do this
1. Boot into download/bootloader mode.
2. Connect to pc and use odin to flash twrp. Make sure you uncheck reboot and flash twrp in the pda slot.
3. Once flashed pull battery and disconnect from pc.
4. Press vol+ menu power buttons while inserting battery (yes it is difficult but can be done)
5. Now in recovery perform factory reset.
6. Flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36388145
7. Now reboot it will act/look weird but dont worry this is normal. It will reboot and take a long time to boot.
Now you are on stock mc2 (no knox anymore). Root using cf autoroot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33278464
Now use odin once again and flash your recovery again. Now you are rooted and have a custom recovery. Oh and you have a working phone again.

Before I do all of that...I discovered I can boot into TWRP and updated it to the newest version. Then I installed the cyanogen nightly onto the phone. Everything seemed to be working ok except I couldn't get any phone signal but wifi worked. I tried loading the dirty unicornes rom and the same thing happened . I then flashed cm 10.1 and the phone worked for calls but the asop keyboard kept crashing and couldn't login to the wifi network. I tried several installs with factory resets with the same results. If I follow the directions you listed will I be able to install these roms and the phone work for calls or am I missing another piece of the puzzle?

Download TWRP from their website. Use version 2.6.3.3 that's the stable one. When you download, download the IMG.Tar one. Don't unzip it.
Put tablet into download mode and connect to odin. In Odin untick auto reboot, press AP and click the twrp you downloaded and flash.
Then reboot into recovery and flash SU zip

So when I do that, it stays on the Galaxy Note splashscreen forever. I hold down power again and it reboots.
Maybe i have to order of operations wrong. I can start over.
I have the KK update installed, all is working fine.
I need to flash TWRP, ChainFire AutoRoot, and SuperSU.
If I were to start over, I should flash Autoroot with Odin, then TWRP with Odin? Then I should be able to boot into recovery with your instructions and flash the SuperSU zip file in recovery?
Sorry, normally this stuff is easy for me. Not sure why I am struggling so much here.

Tab 3 7" T210R is slow and won't root!!! HELP?

Gentlemen,
This tab is slow....keyboard is very laggy. So I figured I'd root it and load a ROM to it.... I flashed the file listed in the thread,
however, power, home and up won't go.... upon ocsassion, it wil bring me into factory mode..... wierd. My s3 and 4 rooted just fine,
so I'm no stranger to that......
Suggestion? Is there something I'm missing?
Other suggested in antother thread to reload factory firmware from sammobile...... I don't believe it would solve anything......
Thanks guys
You should try to flash the original firmware and see if it would fix it. Before doing it backup your data in case it doesn't fix

When flashing recovery, do not check auto reboot on odin and when it says pass after a successful flash, do the three combos then flash universal root.zip thing then qualla, your device has been rooted
Source: it happened to me

I used this link - Worked just like the video showed except I found that after flashing the TWRP recovery tool, I had to hold volume up & home for an extended period before the tool would boot. Watch the screen. After the Samsung logo dissapears, there is a slight glow on the screen. When that glow disappears, release the keys and you should see a lock screen. Swipe and you're in. Good luck.
Heres the link:

Official TMO Nougat**EQC6**

Checked the wifes phone. 1378.49MB update your non rooted roms kids
I just checked SmartSwitch and the 7.0 Nougate update version is available for the SM-G928t. Get some Nougat love!
Anyone found a root that works for this yet or a flashable zip?

I used odin and downloaded the img.tar file for my G928T
https://eu.dl.twrp.me/zenltetmo/
Connect in download mode and simply load up the tar file and apply it, it should reboot into TRWP recovery automatically. Volume up + power + home button to manually boot into it.

This TWRP bootlooped me for some reason. Did you flash a custom kernel first?

Nah, completely wiped my phone, installed the 7.0 update via odin, then rebooted phone and flashed TWRP in download mode.
When you say "this" I assume youve tried other versions that have worked? If so, why not give that a shot.

I had the recovery I was using from MM but I also completely wiped then installed 7.0 in Odin. Only difference I rooted before trying twrp, maybe that effected it. I'll keep playing with it I'm sure I'll figure it out. I was just curious if you needed a custom kernel. Thanks again for the help and link to root.
I have my phone network unlocked after root. Will this upgrade sim lock my phone again??
