Hello,i'm using Ascend P1 with miui ported 3.11.1 latest. The dev is chinese and i maybe find the problem,but i don't know what to edit to make it works.. well the problem is if i go to youtube.com from Chrome or Stock Browser i gett ERR_CONNECTION_RESET but if i use a web proxy like anonymouse.org Youtube works fine.. there is like some problem with my position,like i'm in China then youtube block me or something like that.. anyone know what to edit ?!
FIXED - Localhost had some filter probably for chinese people for not breaking any laws.

First I'd like to tell that i'm a newbie with Android's Phone, I had Windows Phone until now. I have some light Linux knowledges. So be gentle and easy with Android and Linux technical terms
So, here is my problem : I tried to connect to an Ad Hoc Wifi Network but it doesn't work. It seems to be a known issue for a long time in android community and some solutions exists.
One of these solutions I found is to edit the file : /system/etc/wifi/tiwlan.ini
and modify :

dot11DesiredSSID = HTCG1Default
dot11DesiredBSSType = 0
So, I rooted my Phone (with SoftRoot), I used ADB, but the file tiwlan.ini don't seems to be present on my device in the folder it should be.
My questions are : Is it normal for Wildfire that this file is not here? Is the location of the file different on Wildfire ? Is there another solution for Wildfire to connect AdHoc Wlan?
Here are some informations on my device :
HTC Wildfire A3333
Firmware version : 2.1 update1
Baseband version : 13.45.55.24H_3.35.15.31
kernel version : 2.6.29-4266b2e1

I don't really understand why Android shouldn't be able to connect to ad hoc connection. Are the developers dumb or what?

You will have to re-add "ap_scan=2" every now and then, Android stubbornly removes it.

I've got a tablet branded "Goclever" (T70) with Android 2.2. Rooted it successfully. Tried to make it working in ad-hoc mode but there is no tiwlan.ini on my system (searched it throughout). Tried the method mentioned in the post above, but but no success.
Any ideas, pls ?

Wildfire doesn't use tiwlan.ini. Only devices having a TI wifi chip uses it, and Wildfire has a BCM chip.
My device (Goclever T70) does not seem to use tiwlan.ini either.
What to do than? What changes to which config files should be applied in order to make adhoc wifi work?

if i run ping test all pass except http client test: fail: ioexception.
i already odin to stock .... change with custom rom the resul is same

The same thing happens with me but nothing I do fixes it. When I'm using WIFI it works fine and the HTTP Client test also 'Pass'

same problem. and i think its a hardware issue, coz it started occuring on my a116 after reciever replacement. get ur phone checked at service centers.

Okay .. so for me the issue solved by changing the preference to LTE Only and by changing the Radio band 2 or 3 times ..

but it just give me the yahoo mailbox
are there any body can help me? i need the blur_facebook, cause it can break through the chinese GFW (it's a firewall that prevent chinese people connect to the site witch in gov.'s blacklist) like a proxy server for social site

the 2.2rom can use facebook if you modify the build.prop file
but 2.3rom is ADEBLUR mode

I have allready the newest version of adobe flash player on my device,and till 2 month ago all websites will shown witTheh all flash inserts perfectly...also with all browsers...
Since 2 month,when flash player 11 comes for pc,on the most websites i got the message: you need the actualy flash plugin for you're browser......
The link to adobe is senseless,adobe definied my browsers as safari( urgh)......so,whats wrong?
I tried all browsers that i found in the market,by the way i found the maxthon browser,a very brilliant one,very fast and a perfect visualization of all websites on the galaxy...,
But even browser I tried it's all the same......no flash support.....
So need all the browser new plugins? Or is it a problem of miui?
I dont seriously need the flash plugins in the browsers cause for all applikations like youtube,i got apps,but i wanna know,whats the bug is.....!!!!!!

According to the last posts at the original thread, where some people talking about: they wont find there routers...
I have the same problem with this rom, but not in the original from LG
Tryed chang of mac adress -> doesnt help
Tyred replacing files -> doesnt work
But what was helping changing the router channel from 12 to 8
Maybe the the owner of the nice rom could change it so that you can use also above 10, not sure how it looks in other countries, here in DE
you can use 1-13.
If anybody could help me fixxing this by myself, i am open for any feedback.
Got root, busybox and terminal installed.
