[ROM] Google Edition 4.3 [Clean][Deodex][Slim][282MB] - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Development

Development has moved to a unified page HERE.
This ROM is more or less a debloated stock GE 4.3.
Features
Deodexed
Zip-aligned
Rooted
Auto-loki (For AT&T I337 only)
Removed all apps available in the Play Store except for Google Keyboard
Removed some Samsung bloat
Reboot menu
Play Store 4.3.11
AT&T Hot Spot auto-login (For AT&T I337 only)
Google Wallet works out-of-the-box
Notes
This ROM uses a Sprint (L720) branded build.prop to make Wallet work out-of-the-box. There should be no problems with using a different branding from the phone you actually have. If you want to rebrand it to AT&T (I337) or Canadian (I337M), flash the attached build.prop but Wallet may stop working.

Any confirmed way of remapping the home button. Noattach didn't work

Warning! Titanium Backup backup and restore doesn't work on 4.3. Nobex Radio also doesn't work.
Update: Change the backup folder to /storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup. That helps.

Not that I know of. Lot of stuff not working on 4.3. All mods have to be redone.

Im just curious as to how you know which files to remove for debloating purposes?
I can understand the apps which are in the play store, I know which APKs they are, but there are other files that are there which aren't play store files. For example, something like BCservice, apk, or factorkeystring_fb.apk...etc...
Also is it ok to re-add some APKs back into the archive that you deleted before I flash it? I also downloaded the untouched 4.3 from the other thread and wanted to add some stuff that you removed, but being as your is zipaligned, I didn't know if it would be a problem.

And what is CSC.apk and why is is your's 163k in size when the original is 23k?
Also I don't think it's a good idea to delete the GMScore.apk file from the install.

Google them. I only removed stuff after I figured out what they do. Everything I removed is either available from the Play Store or is a proprietary Samsung app. CSC sets the network. Shouldn't be necessary on the i337 on AT&T but is necessary on other S4s. Mine is larger because it's deodexed. I'm not putting GMScore back in. Pointless.

What is GMScore.apk anyway? I've google searched it and still can't quote figure it out. But your're the only whom I've seem to delete it.
Also I edited the messagey you quoted, I was adding a few files back in to the archive before I flash, like Gmail, Youtube and Chrome. Being as yours is deodexed and zip aligned, I gather it's still ok just to add these few APKs back in? I just grabbed them from the untouched 4.3 in the other thread.
thanks.

GMScore is Play Services. Most ROM devs aren't aware of the fact that it's automatically downloaded so there's no reason to keep it in.
Some apps you can just put back. Others need to be deodexed. Depends. Gmail, YouTube, and Chrome are okay to put back in.

First let me say I appreciate your work in getting this out so fast and putting the time into it.
But I feel the need to say that you just delete too much stuff. Personally I would have just like to have seen you do this ROM, with everything except the debloating.
I like to deodexing, the zipalign, the root, etc....but after putting it on my phone I just find that it is taking me way too long to find and redownload what you deleted.
It would be better in my humble opinion, is to just come out with what you did without deleting anything from the ROM, and let the user decide if they want to remove to debloat anything.
Do you still have a copy of your work before you debloated it? I would greatly appreciate a copy of that.
Thanks a bunch.

No way broskie you need to just go flash the untouched version or a build that fits your need. The point of this ROM is the slimness. Don't change a thing man its perfect
Cept for the home button I used to know how to remap keys on my epic and hero....surely its simple line of code that needs a single value change. How did we do it on the 4.2.2 builds??

I wasn't saying that he should only release a non debloated version, I was just asking if he still had a copy before he did. Devs usually keep various copies of their rom in the different stages.
The reason I like his is because it's pre-rooted, deoxeded. I will end up trying out the untouched version now which is also on here, but that means I need to root it myself, which it seems a bit more of a process on the 4.3 ROMs.
I prefer to debloat ROMs myself.

brother, all you need to do to root the untouched version is simply flash the add on available in the add ons section. if you REALLY want to grab files from an unedited version of the GE ROM, its not polite to expect a dev to upload a special package just for you; go grab the leaked zip from the international portal or just use the untouched edition.

I'm not aware of any reboot menu for 4.3. 4.2.2 mods will not work on 4.3. If you find one, let us know.

Ah, I see. I thought the 4.2.2 mod would work on 4.3.

Can you incorporate the 3 way reboot mod from this ROM to yours? Both are running 4.3.

This ROM is rooted. If even flashing SuperSU doesn't work, I don't know what the problem could be. You can try a full wipe.

I was hoping someone would just make a flashable mod and save me the trouble but no luck so far. I'll look into it.

Yeah, no dice, full wipe, still nothing. i went as far as wiping, down to your 4.2.2 7/19 release, SU works. then full wipe, flash 4.3 7/19 release, no SU.....F....any other potential suggestions?

[ROM][LEAK #2] T-Mobile 4.3 - Build UVUEMJC - PureStock & Deodexed - Knox & CiQ Free
T999 4.3 Leak OFFICIAL
Build UVUEMJC
Well, as most of you by know have realized, the Official 4.3 has been released! As it turns out, I was correct that the Leak#2 was to become our official build! What this means is that the Roms built from the leak and the Roms built from stock will essentially be identical. I have decided to build one from the official since I know most of you would prefer it that way anyway. I will keep the leaked versions posted for now as well, in case anyone wants to use them. Should you use one over the other? I doubt it. Ill say to use the rom built from official source though, simply because it is official.
Some of you will have already updated by flashing the official firmware via Odin, or by receiving the OTA update. Some will have been lucky enough to come in later and found it not to be the best idea to update yet. Because of this I will be including instructions for each situation. It may seem a little confusing at first, but just take it at face value and don't try to read extra into it and you should do fine!
WARNING!!!
If you have NOT updated via the official firmware or OTA update, it is highly recommended that you do NOT do so at this time!
You can still run these roms and gain every advantage, with none of the problems!
Instead of flashing the full firmware or OTA, I recommend flashing the deodexed, Knox free build of this Rom for now. I believe it should be the perfect replacement for the official update if you just want to run stock rooted. It has been proven to run smooth, fast and stable! Many have reported it to be the best build to date for our S3, and personally, I agree!
Alternatively, please check out @saranhai's Rom, .::StockMOD ROM::. | TouchWiz 4.3 | Stock & Slim Versions | UVUEMJC as well. It uses mine as a base, but is a bit more customized.

Installation
If you have already updated via OTA or Odin flashing the official firmware:
Flash the T999_Official_Deodexed Rom
Flash the slightly older MJ4 modem, IF YOU CHOOSE. This is not necessary though.
Enjoy and report back to me if WiFi and everything seems to be working ok.
If you have NOT updated to the official release yet:
Flash the T999_Official_Deodexed Rom
Flash the MJ2 ATT kernel
Flash your choice of the two modems in the OP.
Enjoy!
Based on the Leaked Build
Please thank @Prod1702 if you see him! Without his willingness, determination, and commitment to XDA, I would not be able to present you with this brand new build! He seriously stuck it through well beyond what I would've ever expected anyone to put up with! Please take a moment to go HERE and hit his Thanks button to show your appreciation! Without him, this rom, And MODEM, would be nonexistent in these forums!!!
:good: :highfive:

Although the previous leak proved to be amazingly stable, and this one appears to be no different, please remember this is after all, still a leaked test build of the 4.3 Touchwiz system! There may be new bugs, new features, better or worse performance, etc, etc.
I do have reason to believe this may in fact become our official build, or if it does not, it is very close to it! I will try to explain more on this and what I expect to see a bit later. But I have been running this build for most of the day, and am seeing similar results as before where battery and stability are concerned!
So with no further ado, here is your latest leaked build of 4.3 Touchwiz! Note, these are complete T-Mobile builds, but I have had to continue using the AT&T insecure kernel due to issues pulling/dumping the one that goes with this build. As before, I have seen absolutely no problems arise from this.
T999_4.3_MJC_PureStock
Dev-Host Mirror
This is 100% the full MJC build (except kernel). I have not removed Knox or anything, and I have left it Odexed. Zero changes! This is more for devs or anyone who wants to dig into how Knox works and is affecting things. Or for those who just want to see what the full stock build is like. Understand that Knox and seLinux do interfere with root. So if you have problems with your root apps, I suggest you try the deodexed, Knox Free, build below. (I will provide a separate secure kernel later for flashing for those who want to set seLinux to enforcing.)
T999_4.3_UVUEMJC_Full_deodexed_KnoxFree
Dev-Host Mirror
This ROM has NOT been debloated. Only Knox, CIQ, and SysScope have been removed. Deodexed, full build.
Installation
If you are currently on a Non-Touchwiz Rom, you will have to Factory Reset
Because this is a Leaked build, I suggest starting clean. Preferably with already up to date MD5 firmware.
If you are not, Please Odin flash the MD5 root66 firmware. (Link to thread in my signature).
Download your choice of ROM, and the MJC (or MJ4) Modem.
Flash in CWM/TWRP Recovery exactly as you would with any other Rom or Modem!
Thats it! Nothing special!

Huge Thanks to @Prod1702 for leaking this build, and for all of his work and effort working with me to get what we need off of the phone!
Thanks is also highly deserved by these guys as well!
@TheLastSidekick, for his friendship, advice and becoming our newest RC!
@saranhai, for being such a cool guy to team up with on this stuff, and for all of his fantastic work and advice!
@loserskater and everyone responsible for the AT&T leaks for beating me to the release of a leak! Because without them ours is not possible!
@stratatak7 for his work on the AT&T kernel, without which we would have NO T-Mobile leaked roms!
@upndwn4par also for his work on the AT&T kernel, without which we would have NO T-Mobile leaked roms!
And a big Thanks to all of the members who have taken the time to try out this and all of Team Inferno's roms and report on your results!!!

CHANGELOG
This is a copy/paste of the changelog as listed at SamMobile.com for the I9300 update. Most likely, we will see the same features and improvements, but this is by no means guaranteed. Also, and once again, I remind you that what we have are LEAKED test builds. They may not be complete, so if something is not in the leak, it does not mean it will or will not be in the official release!
- GALAXY GEAR Support
- TRIM Support (Makes the device much faster)
- ANT+ Support
- Core UI elements updated to the ones on the Galaxy S4 (Galaxy S4′s theme all over)
- New Samsung Keyboard
- GPU drivers have been updated (Higher GPU benchmark scores)
- New Lockscreen: Multiple Widgets, improved ripple effect than Android 4.1.2, ability to change clock size and set a personal message
- New Screen modes (From S4): Adapt Display and Professional Photo
- Daydream
- Driving mode
- Actionable notifications
- Move-to-SD-card feature
- New Camera mode : Sound and Shot
- New Additions in Notification Centre
- Completely revamped Settings UI (Tabbed interface – Exactly like the Galaxy S4)
- Implementation of Voice controls (Let’s you control various parts of the phone using voice commands – Galaxy S4 feature)
- New Samsung Apps: Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, Music
- Full screen Samsung apps
- New S-Voice (from Galaxy S4)
Known Bugs/Issues
Virtually nothing unexpected! You tell me what you find!
We have had only a few reports of the following:
Problems with dropped calls
Reboots/bootloops
Losing Root
Note: It appears that ALL 4.3 releases have now been delayed due to many problems with the I9300 rollout. Just about everything reported that led to this on the I9300 has not been observed with ours. Hopefully they won't delay ours much longer since it appears it is a very stable build for our models! No one has got the update as scheduled, so I don't expect us to either.
This leak is primarily for the T999 ONLY. You can flash to a T999L/N/V, but will have no mobile data connection.
Most who are not on a T-Mobile network have reported issues with the SIM card not being detected. (Needs Re-Verification)
You MUST flash the UVUEMJ4 Modem/Baseband. No others will work at this time. (Needs Re-Verification)
I suspect that some of the more random issues may be due to older firmware.
I recommend flashing the UVDMD5 firmware if you haven't already done so. Update via Recovery. Update via Odin.
Knox may prevent some root apps from keeping persistent root privledges.
If using a secure kernel, seLinux is set to "enforcing" and side by side with Knox, will make life Hell!!!
Suffers from the profile folder problems. /0/0/0/0/0/0/0/0 Every time you flash a 4.3 build, it will create a new /0 folder abovethe current one and will use this location by default. Manually copy /data/media/ to /data/media/0 after every flash.
Remember this is a NEW leak/build. If you experience a problem you had on the last one, please report again.
Let me know if I have left anything out or if you find anything not yet mentioned.
A note about reporting bugs
If you dirty flashed (did not factory reset), or if you have applied any mods, please do not report bugs. Reflash clean and test first. If you discover a bug caused by a mod, please let us know, but flash clean so you can be sure if it is the Rom, the mod, or something else entirely.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I flash this to my T999L, T999N, T999V?
Well, sort of. You can flash it if you want to see what 4.3 will be like. But without a 4.3 modem for your specific device model you will not have any Mobile Data connection at all.
Can I flash the MJ4/MJC Modem to my T999L, T999N, T999V?
In short......NO!
Will the MJ4/MJC Modem work on older ROMs/Firmware? e.g. 4.1.2 based Rom with MJ4 Modem.
YES! But ONLY if you have the T999!
Why do I get a notification that root access has been blocked?
Welcome to Fort KNOX! If this is a problem you cannot live with, either remove Knox from the Odexed build, or just flash the deodexed ROM. If you are running a ROM which has seLinux enforcing (secure kernel) and Knox installed....well....have fun!? This combination is a PITA to deal with and will prevent nearly all apps attempts at root access! I do NOT recommend this configuration!!!
I just flashed X ROM and now all of the data on internal sdcard is gone! What happened to my data?!?!?
Don't Panic! It did NOT delete any data! The ROM created a new /0 (zero) folder and by default connects to this as the root of your internal sdcard. You need to copy your data from /data/media to /data/media/0/. You will find all of your files are still intact, they just were not being seen because of the messed up folder structure.

Keep in mind that my battery is over a year and a half old! But this is 19-20 hours on battery, using 5.5 hours of screen on time (a good bit was set at fairly high brightness), and as usual, using TapaTalk which isnt really the most gentle app when it comes to battery use!
Conclusions So Far
As it was with our first leaked build, the rom itself seems to be surprisingly excellent on battery! The Day 1 battery once again helps to showcase the ROM's battery use, on its own (plus Tapatalk). So if you were to flash it and make good use of Settings, you should see similar results. I find it very reassuring to see how consistent the battery cycles have been so far!

T999_4.3_MJC_Docs_deodexed3.zip
This is the ROM I was personally using before I bricked my device. It does not have any major modifications, just some, perhaps interesting debloating. I was not totally finished with it, but thought I would share in case anyone else wanted something like it. Basically, I was removing things I do not use, but that could potentially be running in the background, using resources and battery. A couple of examples of this would be Googles Backup Transport service, Contacts and Calendar sync, Accuweather, NameID, etc, etc, etc. I will try to post a full list later. I know much of this could be debated, but it seemed to be just as stable as before, and everything I made use of still worked.
Its kind of a different take on the debloating of a rom.

Note: I am not giving credit on most of these simply because many can be found all over the place! I have been collecting them myself for a while now, just for my own use, and the ones I did not discover on my own, I cannot remember where I originally saw. If this is a problem, or you feel you deserve credit for a particular discovery, please let me know and I will be happy to work it out with you. These are very easy for anyone to find on their own though. I have quite a few more that I might post at another time.
I do want to give credit to @evil1art for finding the easy way to add the extra Quick Panel toggles.

I Love This Stuff! And I am just happy that I got the opportunity to be the one of the ones to work on it!
Couple things real quick. This has so far been great for my own use, but I have not done much to stress it. Been mostly trying for a good baseline Day 1 battery report like I did for the first leak. So far it seems to be right on par with it.
I will get to updating posts 2-5 with more information later on. I will check back periodically to make sure nothing catastrophic happens, but aside from that I'm planning to spend some time with my daughter before bedtime since I get to have her an extra day for the holiday weekend! Once she's asleep Ill get back to work on the fun stuff!
Hope you guys enjoy it! And I hope you don't mind me keeping the leaks in separate threads. I felt it best for different builds since there will likely be different bugs and all. Just less confusing IMO. Ill note each OP of the existence of the other to make it easy to reference.
For now, have fun guys! And Thank You all for your patience!!! :good:
Thanks Doc. For all your time bringing all the new leaks. Will try this one as soon as its download.

Awesome work doc! Downloading it now to get it loaded up. MJ4 has been giving me steady battery life off charger for 11 he's and 1 hour screen on still at 80% so pretty happy about that.
Dirty flashed this over the previous leak. So far everything works great.

Nice work Doc!!
Thanks to you all for your kind words! I hope this one turns out as good as the last at a minimum, though I am cautiously tempted to say I think but is a bit better. Can't quite put my finger on it, and it may be placebo, but it does feel a bit better to me.
And for those interested, I believe the keyboard is fixed. Been trying for a while now to get it to bug out, but it hasn't yet. Bout to switch though. I just don't care much for it personally.

Built From Soucre, your evo will never be the same.
Team Nocturnal is happy to bring you Kitkat with tweeks to follow.
This is still in it's early stages but I can promise you it is stable and works well.
We will work out as many bugs as possible in the updates to come,
I can not promise you that all will be fixed, but we will try.
Bugs
FFC not working
Hot Restart causes wifi problems, & data. normal reboot fixes it.
Menu settings will not work. widgets and wallpers are fine. just put a settings widget on desktop or use pull down.

Vinman, you da man! I'll give it a try in an hour or two. I'll be able to test data, but not phone or SMS/MMS since I'm on freedompop's service and all their voice/text is routed over data. Is this the only official kit-kat build? The only other one I've tried was Captain Throwback's build with spotty data.
Thanks again to all who worked on this!

@vinman12
I updated my TWRP build and will be posting it in a new thread over at Android Devices (or as I like to call it, @Wambo_World) so once I have that up, you might want to just link to that instead.
The new build has some cool features and is way more complete than the original version I posted. I'll let you know when it's up.

hey fishgoon, ok kewl yeah check it out, data is fully working, but Im looking to get feed back on all bugs to see if we can correct them, Im aware of most of them but it will be good to compare with the members feed back.
as far as the the Rom this is the first that has been rebuilt with working data, and added tweeks,.
but as far as the first releases belive it or not it was a simple fix on the data which was pointed out to us.
but all is good now. I must have built this a zillion times. lol had one of my buddy from tn build it as well
we all went nuts to get the data flowing. I know @ Wambo did as well.
but now we can all breath a sigh of relief.
Much love to @captain Throwback, he got us all rolling. great work on the Recovery to.
ok enjoy.
Although my Evo doesn't have service, I have been running the Captain's original KirKat ROM on it for weeks and I'm deeply grateful for all the work you guys are doing.
Forgive my ignorance, but if fixing mobile data turned out to be a "small" thing, could this information be shared with preludedrew so he could work it into evervolv? Or has he just dropped support for Supersonic altogether?

The vendor files simply need to be pushed on github. The fixed was shared in one of the other threads.

Great work. Everything seems super smooth. Was able to run Mounts2SD with no problem to get some more room for apps. Also, I was able to do wireless tether using native tether feature and an open connection. However, I was unable to get wireless tether to work with encryption...not a big deal...I think it was also not working in the JB roms either. Overall, runs really really well. I don't listen to music over my phone much, so probably won't try viper audio out. I'll have a better idea once I get on my home wifi and load a bunch of apps on it. I think it's plenty stable to use as a daily driver unless I find a serious app compatibility. Has anyone tried GPS navigation with google maps yet?

The ultimate GPE for Safestrap!
Thanks Joe-Tech for the awesome base!
UPDATE 2:
Google Experience has been updated to v0.3 FINAL!
This means that there will be no more updates until Joe-Tech fixes the WiFi or
USB transfer bugs, or he releases an update to his ROM (the base of GglExp).
The ROM is now completely stable with no bugs unless found by YOU!
Here is a list of the updated features and whatnot that come in v0.3:
- Decreased size of ROM zip by 200MB!
- Added a new and improved boot animation.
- Fixed the Chrome force close error.
- Fixed the no root error (see install instructions)
UPDATE:
Google Experience is, as of now on v0.2-1! I skipped
v0.2 because when I went to test it, it soft bricked my phone! So that was a flop!
The updates that v0.2-1 have brought are the following:
- Gapps are now included in the ROM!
- SuperSU does not have to be flashed seperately!
- Joe-Tech's SMS and keyboard are removed.
- More bloat removed, more Google added!
What is Google Experience? It's a GPE ROM on steroids!
I was using Joe-Tech's GPE 4.4.4, when I thought to myslef, 'It's called a Google Play
Edition, but there aren't many Google Apps! It doesn't feel like a Nexus, or a GPE
device!' And so I set out to create the perfect Google Experience for Safestrap users.
FEATURES:
Nexus 5 or GPE device experience
Rooted
Gapps now built in!
Deodexed
Zipaligned
Speed (fastest ROM on S4)
Custom Bootanim (now 190MB smaller!)
Safestrap 3.72 ready
Based on Joe-Tech's GPE 4.4.4
Removed unnecessary bloat

This is a flashable zip made by me that includes Xposed and 15 modues
preconfigured for Google Experience. The full list of the modules can be found in the FAQ. To install,
download the zip file, put it on the root of your MicroSD card, boot into Safestrap and flash it- then
reboot, and you should have 15 hand-picked Xposed modules for your ultimate Google Experience!
DISCLAIMER:
- I am not responsible if you mess up your device
- I am not responsible if you mess anything else up
- I am not to be held liable if you void your warranty
- I will be laughing alongside Joe-Tech if you point fingers
INSTALLATION:
1.) Download the latest ROM, SuperSU, and your modules.
2.) Place them on root of your MicroSD card.
3.) In Safestrap, factory reset twice.
4.) Now wipe all except MicroSD card twice.
5.) Flash the Google Experience zip.
7.) Now flash the modules zip file.
8.) Now flash SuperSU update.
9.) Reboot and let it sit for 5 minutes.
10.) Open SELinux Mode Changer, set to 'Permissive'.
11.) Do a 'Hot Reboot'.
12.) Press the thanks button on this post!
13.) In Joe-Tech's own words, enjoy!

NOTES:
- If WiFi is not working, do a 'Hot Reboot'.
- USB Transfer does not work.
- Upon first boot, a popup will say 'Maps stopped working'
- Ignore it and continue.
FAQ:
Q: What sets Google Experience apart from, say, Joe-Tech's GPE 4.4.4?
A: Google Experience offers a pure, consistent, well... Google Experience
like none other. Every update brings updated Gapps, and every app Google rolls
out, I aim to provide in Google Experience. I want to make you feel like you are
holding a Nexus 5 or a Google Play Edition phone in your hand.
Q: What modules are included in the Xposed flashable zip in the 'Extras'?
A: There are currently 15 modules as well as the installer in there. The modules
include: Advanced Power Menu, Android Tuner Free, App Ops, Cool Tool, Cyber-shot
Xposed, Force Translucent Statusbar, GravityBox, HKTheme Manager, MinMinGuard,
XDictionary, XInstaller, Xposed Additions, Xprivacy and XuiMod.
Q: What do you plan on developing next?
A: An Xperia ROM for Safestrap users on the AT&T S4. I think it would be cool
to take Joe-Tech's base, yet again, and remove the bloat, create an Xperia
overlay with the stock Z2 apps, and then build it and let people flash it. I'm not
even sure if there is already an Xperia ROM for the S4 out there yet.

Good to see more people getting involved in non touchwhiz safestrap Roms. Maybe we can get this WiFi and WiFi tethering worked out so we can open some others eyes to the sheer pleasure of stock android.

The WiFi works great, actually. I haven't had to hot reboot even once and I've been on my ROM for a week and Joe-Tech's for two more on top of that. As for WiFi tethering, I may or may not be working on a fix for that...
Thanks for this. For the Gapps, what makes the "micro" micro? Just curious.

The 'Micro' version of Gapps does not include most of the Google Apps found on stock devices, but only 8 apps, which include:
- Google Play Store
- Google Bookmarks Sync
- Google Text to Speech
- Gmail
- Calendar
- Now Launcher
- Search
- Play services
I, personally would DEFINITELY use the stock version of Gapps, as you get Hangouts, Chrome, and more that you wouldn't get. With the micro gapps you get a very inconsistent experience for the sake of a smaller file download.
UPDATE
Google Experience 4.4.4 Update 2
By tonight, a fairly big update for Google Experience will be out for testing. It will be the first update ever. Note, this won't be a final release, just testing. Here are some improvements it will roll out:
New boot animation
WiFi tethering fix
Decrease ROM size from 576MB to ~380MB
Remove 'Micro' Gapps option
Possible Gapps integration
If you want to test the v0.2 pre-release just reply.
I will test
Alright, great. Should be rolling out in a couple of hours under a new 'TESTING' tab in the main post.

Ahh! Thanks for that! It's fine anyways, I'm about to take it down. v0.2-1 (Already tried out v0.2, was a horrible failure) doesn't need SuperSU or Gapps flashed seperately, so I've cut down the installation files to only two - the ROM and the modules! Thanks anyways, though.
Google Edition 4.4.4 v0.2-1 Update
I jumped ship and tested it myself. I backed up, and wiped and everything. And then I soft bricked my phone. Well, version 0.2 was a flop! So I installed stock via Odin, rooted, got Safestrap, and worked on v0.2-1, and it's amazing. Gapps is now included in the ROM, removed the customized SMS and dark keyboard Joe-Tech had going, everything is stock, as if you have a Nexus device. Also, no need to flash SuperSU seperately. I used the same boot animation because I tried several others and they all sucked and didn't work properly, to be honest. I'm going to keep trying to work on the boot animation though- it's 200MB, which is insane. But it's the only decent one that works properly so far.
The ROM is uploading to my Google Drive (figured that hosting was appropriate for a Google Experience, lol) and then I'll update the main post. No testing, since it works flawlessly. It's on stable, all is good. Also, I've made a note not to add any 'GalaxyMaster' garish customizations with black and red and spiderman everywhere like some other ROMs. Pure stock, Nexus/GPE user experience.
Now, all you have to flash is the ROM and your modules instead of that and Gapps and SuperSU as well! Here's a summary of v0.2-1:
Combined Gapps
Removed Joe-Tech's SMS & keyboard
No need to flash SuperSU seperately
More streamlined install
On top of that, there is one more issue I'll need to fix: As you're entering your password to your Google account during setup, a window will pop up saying 'Maps' has stopped working, and then it'll pop up again. But besides that it's perfect. Fast, clean, now with an easier install.
Upload is at 38% right now!

Damn that was fast hahaha. I just got the first version almsot to how I like it. Is there any benefit to flashing the new version or is it just easier to install (although the first version was easy to install for sure)?
FYI, everything is going smoohtly. Upon first boot wifi worked, 1st reboot wifi did not work (fixed with hot reboot)
Were you able to get wifi tethering working? Just curious.
No its not worth upgrading. It mainly just made the install easier. Same apps, same boot animation, but easier for new users. I am, however, later, releasing a flashable zip for this ROM as an extra that's filled with xposed and modules as well as some root tools, system benchmarkers and more. So you could always flash that. It'll be in a section called Extras in a couple of hours.

Problems: You tell me....
How long till the upload is done you think so I know when to check back to download? Excited to try this rom out
It's up. Sorry AFH was SLOW! If only the UL was as fast as the DL... If anyone can recommend some other file hosting I'll gladly get some mirrors up
Loving the rom so far fast snappy would love to see the s5 theme more even if you had to do a 4.4.2 remake to get it to work and i miss the pop out window when someone calls you do you don't have to stop whatever your doing but its not a deal breaker all the other roms "say" deodexed but they really arnt like this one so I'll run this for awhile thanks man
This is a great option to have that saves so much debloating work later on, thanks!
Will report back if I find any problems,
Working on same sort of ROM for NI1 but with S5 apps added, etc. Just stock deodex rooted with S5 apps. Well see how it goes

Reboot into SafeStrap. Wipe Data/Reset install the ROM. If you're already on nj4 no need to Odin anything.
Just to make sure that I understand. Safestrap then make a new slot rom or wipe ect on the original stock rom? Sorry I'm kinda learning.
Stock slot! Wipe, go the extra mile hit Advanced Wipe wipe everything but storage. Install ROM and latest SuperUser again.. Stock slot
As for the MI1 ROM with S5 apps, its coming along. Just have to weed through the constant gallery, Smart Remote and S5 keyboard FCs. Times short lately
thank you.. really works and its fast. this is how samsung should build there rom.
hi um i think the air gesture feature like air jump or air browse not working on the rom you have. can you double check. i mean i don't think it's my phone because i try it with official stock before.. by the way what is the diff with your mom and just rooting the phone and have tianium backup to uninstall apps? please explain and thank you.

I'll check on that shortly. I'm testing out something else at the moment. Not sure what would cause that. None of that was messed with or removed. The apk's that handle those things are still intact.
There isn't much difference. It's Deodex vs the stock Odex and has a lot of stuff removed. Basically (to me at least) it seems a tad smoother than stock and all the bloat removal is done for you. Like I said in the OP, it's nothing special. All I added was the GPE boot animation and deodex, and debloated. It's not themed, modded, etc. This is how I like my phone and I posted it for anyone else who might like theirs the same way.
Thank you for the knowledge. I really like how you took everything that it's unnecessary to have those apps from sam and att. looks good i hope to see move from you. thanks

hi, sorry to bother u, so there are not alot of posts in this thread. does not seem to specify which phone. sounds like its for an S4 w/SS. i dont think this will work on an SM-G900A (ATT S5), does it? on SS and DK4 and NG3 here. att really screwed us S5 people skipping over 4.4.4. if it is for this phone, no rom slot, eh? even to try? slot-1 has great battery drain in all roms i have tried in it. i know SS well enough and how to Odin, had to do it to go to NG3.
ATT is ridiculous with this damn locked bootloader crap too. 900F is the way to go, but would have had to buy phone outright. oh well.
ok, please reply whenever you get a chance. thank you. Dev's rock!

[ROM][SM-P905][LL 5.0.2 TW] - KOKO - Deodex.Root.Xposed.Tuned KNOX 0X0

Version V2 is out.
1.Improvement root mode
2.Remove bug in init.d. For now scripts in init.d works flowesly.
3.Add more fonts +- 1000
4.MultiWindows app ( MW Commander ) removed. Must be install individualy from play store. Then works great.
5.Add option for automatic clear cache sometimes in background for better performance.
6.Add host for remove some add's.
If You have my V1 rom installed, after install V2 wipe data is no neccesary. Only restore my rom, and do wipe cache/dalvik in Flashfire, or TWRP.

First deodexed rom with working xposed on stock Lollipop for NOTE PRO LTE !!!!! SM-P905 with Snapdragon 800
Based on Lollipop TW P905XXUABOE1 XEO
Deodex
Rooted
Xposed work like charm
Init.d
Disable some services from google play for better battery life.
Tuned some files for better music loud.
Add AppOps for blocking permisions
Delate some apps, like Play Music, Kiosk Play etc... who want this app please download from Play Store.
Add some stuf for MultiWindows for all apps !!
Hello everyone.
I wait verry long time, on some deodex rom for Note Pro 12.2 LTE SM-P905....and nothing.
So i made rom, with integrated and working xposed V6 from arter, deodex, rooted, init.d with script to turn off some stuff google play services, for better battery life, tuned audio for loudnes music. Knox is totally removed, rom based on P905XXUABOE1 XEO.
This is my first rom, i dont have pc with linux for make flashable aroma zip. So simply i buckup /system partition with TWRP and with Flashfire for people who no want triped knox.
So. First You must have stock Tw Lollipop on device.
If dont have, download from sammobile P905XXUABOE1 rom, and flash with ODIN. If after that You have lollipop on device, but Your modem is stiil old, then flash device with kitkat, and upgrade to lollipop with OTA.. Some people have problem with flash new modem lollipop, when flash over kitkat modem.
If you have lollipop TW on SM-P905 then download koko115.P905XXUABOE1.Stock.Root.Deodex.Xsposed.initd.boost-TWRP.zip file unzip and unpacked folder copy to /TWRP/BACKUPS/*.*/koko115.P905XXUABOE........
Go to recovery, restory my firmware, then do wipe data. Restart and smile My rom dont have any moded kernel, and bootloader. This is only one system partition. So after restore, wipe data is recomended.
For who dont want tripped knox i make buckup /system partition with FlashFire.
So if you have knox 0x0 and you have TW Lollipop with FlashFire on device.. so simple make wipe data, and restore my rom. Restart device, and smile with no tripped knox, and worked xposed....
File for FlashFire named koko115.P905XXUABOE1.Stock.Root.Deodex.Xsposed.initd.boost_FLASHFIRE.zip so when you download unzip and copy to FlashFire folder, then restore with wipe data.
FOR ALL. IS VERRY IMPORTAND.
MY ROM IS BUCKUP SYSTEM PARTITION SPECIALY MODED FOR DEODEX, AND XPOSED. SO IF YOU WANT RESTORE THIS PARTITION YOU MUST HAVE ON DEVICE LOLLIPOP TW.
IF YOU STILL HAVE KITKAT, GO TO SAMMOBILE AND FLASH WITH ODIN LOLLIPOP FIRMWARE, AFTER THIS RESTORE MY ROM LIKE NORMALY BUCKUP IN FLASHFIRE, OR TWRP AS YOU WISH.

I look today for mwcommander.
I have problems to restore this ROM by using TWRP.
I unpacked everything, but TWRP does not see all the files.
I have following path:
/TWRP/BACKUPS/553946a2/rom/
with these folders inside:
- meta-inf
- system
How should I properly restore it? So far this backup is not visible (or getting an error: no partitions selected for restore.)
Maybe do this. First do buckup system, then delate all files in last folder, and paste all files from latest folder my rom. And try restore.
V2 IS OUT.
WIPE DATA NO NECCESERY IF HAVE MY FIRTS V1 ROM INSTALED

Btw checked knox and it wasn't triggered that flashfire tool is really good
Also guys it may take up to 10-15 minutes at Samsung logo don't worry about it just leave it be!
BTW @koko115 could you please check app called "button savior" it gives you the ability to use on screen virtual keys for easy access to back/recent/home buttons for some reason it didn't work after restoring your backup but it was working with 5.0.2!!
I really thought I won't see xposed and therefore never use lollipop on this amazing tab!
Thank you again man for taking the risk and share your masterpiece with us ☺
And before I forget I recommend ppl to disable security updates and reports and disable auto check for updates!
Thanks, works without any issues now.
And - there is a good news. Soon we may expect Android 5.1.1 for our tablet.

Hi Koko,
Unfortunately it doesn't work. I was wishing something in your ROM could be different from the stock, as I have already tested with the P905 stock without success, the modem seems to be different. The P905M is a version for the Latin America and the frequencies here seem to be different. I have already tried to flash the modem from the KK ROM but it doesn't work either.
Anyway thanks!
Do like this.
Buck to kitkat flashed in odin from sammobile. After this in ota actualize to lollipop. After this flash with my rom. If no work, flash all firmware from sammobile, and wait on somethink do rom for Your device.

There is no Lollipop for the P905M yet, unfortunately... I was hoping that the P905 firmware could fit well on the P905M, but this didn't happen.
For some reason Samsung didn't update this specific model. Have no idea why.
Thanks anyway!
