Welcome to ALPHA S4
An Infamous Production!
Brought to you by @Jamison904 and @Mr ImpossibleRULES:
Before you start using this rom here are some things you need to know:
1. I am NOT updating every day (I work 6 days a week and have a 23 month old and Pregnant wife)...
2. Don't ask for ETA, this is rude and offensive. When it is done it is done.
3. Custom Roms come without warranty. They are tested before release but something always can go bad. So if you broke your phone or you got fired because the alarm didn't go off - I am not responsible.
4. Support is limited. Sometimes I can answer your questions sometimes I don't have the time. There will be times I don't have an answer so please do no repeat your question or get offended because I haven't answered you.
5. Don't compare ROMs. It is rude and offensive for developers.  If the other rom has what you need, use that ROM.
6. Don't Kang my work. You may fool everyone else but I will know! If you want to use something just ask!
7. If you like my work, a five star thread rating and hitting the thanks button motivates me.
8. No flaming! We have all been a NoOb before. We are here to help each other.
9. Read the change log. All relevant important information is there first! i.e. Bugs and fixes if there are any at the time.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
By using the rom you agree with the above terms!

HOW TO INSTALL:
(recommended recovery - Philz Recovery )
Download ROM and place on SD
Reboot into recovery
Wipe unless change log say otherwise
Install the ROM
Reboot out of recovery
Skip setup wizard (you can put your name in)
wait five minutes for all to settle as this is a highly tweaked ROM and Kernel
Reboot
Install the 3minit app (not included, but the frameworks of 3minit are. Nothing else needed.)
Additional install info:
Go to the play store and buy the paid version of 3minit to suport the developer. It is only $2 and gets updated first! If you can't do this go to his thread where he gives away free older versions. Make sure to thank gharrington and tell him Infamous sent you.
Now install Xposed. The installer app comes with the ROM. Open it and click install. Don't reboot yet. Hit the tab above that says modules and turn on the modules you want to use... now reboot.
Driver for Viper4ANDROID = CortexA8 with NEON
Now enjoy the fastest and most customizible  ROM for the S4.

What's the date today?

Is there any reason why T-Mobile logo appears upon shutdown when this is an AT&T rom put on an AT&T phone?

i337 flash
Hello, probably a dumb question and it is probably in the thread somewhere i just didnt see it. i am flashing this rom alpha 2.0 and also the infumous 4.5 oc kernel but when i reboot i get a message that says source error or kernel source error or something like that with a "!" so i rebooted into recovery and flashed another kernel (katoonez tw) and it booted fine, i am using twrp recovery from goomaneger. i am use to CWM but i have a backup from a previous rom that i dont wanna lose and if i flash CWM im not sure if i can still restore that backup so i stuck with TWRP. if i am doing something wrong a guide into the right direction would be awesome. sorry for the dumb question and thank you to the DEV for your hard work!!!!!
thanks

AT&T LTE APN settings will not stick. Every time I enter them and click "save" it deletes everything.
---------- Post added at 06:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:46 PM ----------
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me what I am doing wrong. I downloaded v.2.0, wiped data/cache/dalvik, installed ROM, and rebooted. Both times, the APN settings default to the old cingular.com and when I try to enter a new APN with the AT&T LTE settings they don't get saved. Then, upon shutdown, I get a T-Mobile logo. This tells me that perhaps either I've installed the wrong ROM or there's something in this ROM coded to T-Mobile. I really want to run this ROM as it looks sick, but I'm at a bit of a loss. Anyone?
Much thanks....

Much thanks....[Just change the APN settings where the cingular apn is it saved for me. And this rom was built to run on T-Mobile S4, but since there is really no difference in the 2 from what I understand is why we can run different roms from different carriers/S4 models.

This is not CSROM.
This is not a clean slate to modify as you wish.
This is Graviton.
You will be assimilated....
Introducing Graviton, a majorly de-bloated and AOSPified ROM based on AT&T Jelly bean 4.1.1 (DLK3).
I created a custom theme with an AOSP feel that permeates the ROM. Only a few APKs remain to be themed.
Many apps have been replaced with their AOSP/CM10 counterparts. All will be replaced in time.
The only Samsung apps remaining are required to provide basic functionality to the device.
Please don't ask me to replace any Samsung apps - not happening.

Using the Aroma Installer
This is a quick guide to using the Aroma Installer since this highly customized version may be slightly different from what you have used before.

Enjoy!

Nandroid backup
Factory reset in recovery if coming from a non-TouchWiz ROM (backup internal SD Card contents first)
Flash in recovery (button or touch)
Aroma installer should start within ~5 seconds
Choose a theme (if the colors look borked, go back and choose the theme again).
After agreeing to the disclaimer and viewing the changelog, Choose either:
Install or Update ROM - Installs ROM
or
Add or Remove Features - Allows you to add or remove apps, launchers, etc without re-installing the ROM.
________________
Install or Update ROM:
Choose either:
Full Wipe - Clean install wipes system, cache, Dalvik, and app & system data (no media, etc).
or
Update Wipe - Wipes system, cache, Dalvik (for current CSROM users only)
Choose desired options.
If you don't choose a launcher, the TW launcher will be installed.
If you install both AOSP and Samsung email you will get repeated FC's.
You can install both launchers and decide which one to use after boot.
________________
Add or Remove Features:
Be sure to select everything you want included in the ROM, even if it is already installed on your device.
If any given item is not selected, it will either not be installed, or deleted if it is already installed.
________________
Additional Info

If install completes and you get a "Status 0" error after pressing "Reboot" in Aroma, just reboot the device.

Re: [ROM][Port] Graviton
Lol I'm sure it will, I like it so far. Im looking forward to future builds and see what options you add. I will be honest Im sort of a theme junkie and like the blue on dark look, I will have to get use to the white backgrounds on gmail, talk and a few others but is there a feature to adjust what toggles are in the drop down menu?

I agree with the apps. But I didn't want to hold up releasing the ROM while I themed all of them. There are a bunch of inverted apps available you can install. The toggles are not adjustable. Those are (were) the stock toggles. I just themed the heck out of them.

If I did it would be to AT&T DLK4, but I have no plans to do that right now.
All the new versions coming out for the different carriers are just incremental updates. No significant changes that I am aware of to make it worth the effort.

Not the modem, but the base. It's still based off of UVDLJA instead of UVDLJC, which does have a few differences (kernel, some apps, etc.)
Re: [ROM][Port] Graviton
This should work fine whit a t999v from videotron right ? So far all the roms worked since this is a port from an at&t device I figured I ask before I do anything wrong..

Should be fine. The worst that could happen is cellular data issues. Nothing restoring your nandroid backup won't fix.

Flash Missing Link too many times?
Things are being left behind and new things not working?
Use the zip files posted below to start over without flashing a while ROMs or backup. I listed which version of two ROMs (Jellyverse coming soon) The zip file is flashable via recovery where it deletes and replaces the apk/apps that Missing Link modifies during its use and wipes caches. I have tested them and reflashed Missing Link in the same recovery session without issue.

***changelog***
v6.6
*fixed so you can get an install log at the end of the install. Helpful to me for troubleshooting
*pretty much the same as usual, added more of everything
*Enable custom Boot Animations is now an option
*ML is too fat for Dev-host now. Any updates from here on out will most likely be trimming out bootani's to make room.
*old changelog/
v6.4
*definitely coming to a final release soon!! I can see one more update finishing all the themes complete with Custom Boot Animation enabled
*added the usual things here and there.
*added "Zoom World" Boot Animation
v5.5
*completely reworked SecPhone.apk and SecContacts.apk to show in-call Theming
*SecMms.apk now Themed to match framework choice
*added a few more bootanimation and a couple shutdowns
*of course more options for everything else too
v5.3
*added in-call statusbar colors to match Framework choice
*recolored signalbars that I felt didn't match what I was going for
*changed most of the basic spinners to a more custom style
*basically I change/add/fix so much between updates I can't remember it all. I can tell you that each update will provide a cleaner more complete look!
v5.2
*added Lockscreen Position (thanks @bilgerryan)
*finishing a lot of final touches to each individual themes (things like custom buttons/switches, text handles and more)
v5.1
*now includes Shutdown "qmg" Animations (thanks to @xessus for shutdowns and tutorial)
*added a couple more battery mods
*more touch up
v5
*finished up most of the clean patch 9.png work to complete each theme
*added Startup Boot Animations
*added a few secret goodies here and there! Enjoy!!
v4.3
*added more options to most mods, (for Miui Toggles a special to @bilgerryan)
*added finger print pressed to dialer options
*this update involved A LOT of patch 9.png touch up and fixes! (anyone who has done any theming knows this can be very time consuming, but can also mean the difference between simply just taking existing images and changing the color or doing the work from scratch and understanding patch 9's)
*added new switches and buttons to most themes (to fix patch 9.png issues)
*so much more that I really can't even think where to begin! The main thing is that each Framework Theme choice is becoming more unique and individual!
v4.1
*updated Aroma Installer (installs much quicker and have been error free since)
*added options to change Popup Menus and Dialog Windows
*major cleanup to prevent items not changing when you flash a new theme
*added more Spinners, Signalbars, Data Icons and pretty much a new choice in every option
v4.0
*added Complete System Theming in the Framework options. The is a total of 11 different choices that change the base items including Statusbar Icons, popup Windows and menus, the Settings Icons, and lots of other goodies

v3.1
*added Battery Icon Mods
*added Transcendent Slider and Lockscreen Clock (Thanks to Goddly)
*added a couple Toggles
*added another Background
*removed Backup/restore options (until I get it working properly with preload)
*probably more I can't remember right now
v3 fixed
*fixed the Divider Line issue
*fixed Blue 3d Dailer Buttons
*removed some fat from by reducing some images
v3.0
*added more Framework Themes

*fixed missing icons in settings and the power menu
*fixed the scrolling from phone to contacts issue to be back on single view
*added options for Lock Screen Clock and missed notification colors and styles
*added Touched by S4 Dailer Pad Background and Numbers (as per request)
*gave the Chrome Wheels a buff and polish (they look much cleaner more)
*added Chrome Wheels to Animated Pull-down Bar (and slowed it way down so you can see it)
*reworked the Google Animated Pull-down Bar to slow it down so you can see it
*added the options to pick Framework Divider Line colors (This took me so soooooo many hours to figure the name of each line and there purpose!!)
*added more Glass Transparency choices (the first two work perfect, the new colors look good, just not prefect.) The problem is I am not skilled in the use of "patch 9.png" imaging. If anyone can help me tune those images in that would be much appreciated!

First off I have to thank all the hard working creative mind here on XDA! I especially have to thank Tdunham for his contribution to keeping the E4GT alive and kicking! Without his AIO mods my mod wouldn't exist! I am very new to this so go easy on me. I will be adding and updating this. Now to what this mod offers;
It is meant to work with TD's AIO mods, or without if you choose. I absolutely love the control his mod, along with the 3minit mod by Gharrington, give you to customize your Theme. The one thing to that always looked incomplete to me was the 4G icon always stayed the same? That's where The Missing Link comes in. Then I just got a little carried away, with more, much more to come
Again thanks to,
Tdunham for continuous knowledge and endless mods
Gharrington for porting 3minit to our device
amarullz for creating the incredible Aroma Installer
Morphology Society for tons of icons and images
and the creative minds here on XDA
and of course my awesome girl "B" for putting up with me and my phone
Can't forget my mom, if not for her not only would I cease to exist, but I would not have this awesome phone to use and explore my creative mind! Thanks mom
Downloading Now...
This looks awesome. Just ran a NAND, will report back here anon...
Thanks, man!
Okay, first of all, did I mention that this is just frickin awesome? And also, as you rightly note, it plays nicely with 3minit. Don't know how to capture the pull-down image, the brightness slider, or apps/widgets updating circle arrows, but each looks as I selected.
Three shots provided show blue glass background, app updating arrow in notification panel and 4G icon.

Very nice.
Did you include the 'animated off' to put it back to stock? That may work.
Slider check box is a little off (see screenshot).
FYI, animated off (returns to stock) fixes Mario animation so other mods can be flashed.
Edit:
Mario animated pulldown was much larger than the rest and was added last. I never got around to fixing all the others so they would be backwards compatible. The best would be a 'return to stock' (animated off) choice so the users can utilize the rest of the mods without conflict.
Just a suggestion but a 'return to stock' at the top (or bottom) of each category would be nice addition.
Also, feel free to swipe any of the many mods here to add to this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39735579&postcount=346
System font seems bigger...
The system menu font seems larger after install, but still sitting at normal. Don't know if this helps, but doesn't bother me at all.
So, Ive seen Aroma Mod before, and all you do is flash it in recovery. And install what mod you want.

This was my first use of any Aroma app, but it's pretty straightforward. I wiped cache partition and dalvik, flashed the missing link zip, and was taken through a series of touch screen menus, could go back and change stuff, then rebooted, all without issue.
Good luck!

Link is up and running. Going to flash 1.2 now, will report back here with results momentarily. Please stand by...
The file name is new, but I think it's the same version, as the Aroma installer still shows version 1.0,and I didn't see the option to revert to stock. Perhaps I overlooked it.
Anyway, I really like this. Thanks again, and happy to test every rev.
If I have aio 3.5 do I need to uninstall anything before trying this out?
No ,I have AIO 4.0, and flashed v1.0 and no problems. So it should be ok.

If you came from an CM 11 based rom you normaly can make a dirty flash,
i suggest you to do a clean flash because sometimes there are some minor bugs caused by that.
Follow these steps:
1. Boot into recovery
2. Format Data/Factory Reset
3. Flash Zip
4. Flash Gapps
5. Reboot
6. ENJOY!
If you came from this rom and only want to update follow these steps:
1. Boot into recovery
2. Wipe Cache/Dalvik
3. Flash Zip
4. Flash Gapps(i do, but don't know if really needed)
5. Reboot
6. ENJOY!

I will try to help and contribute as much as possible when I can. Just PM me if you need anything.

THank you for the rom
Will test it
@moritz31 there seems to be a huge RAM issue at the moment. When I was on SlimKat, I had anywhere from 1GB to 6/800MB free. The culprit seems to have something to do with the app cache (lime green) Maybe you can look into it?

can take a look, but don't guess i find a fix for that :/
you think the app cache is the problem?
Well I installed GravityBox and the RAM bar on there shows something completely different. I would say that the one included with Beanstalk should be the accurate one. In the screenshot provided, the top is Beanstalk, the bottom is GravityBox. But yes, the lime green in Beanstalk's version represents app cache.
Maybe you can talk to @scott.hart.bti or @DAddYE and ask them if they know what the problem is.
Edit:
In this screenshot, Memory Booster shows 705MB free which matches up with what GravityBox is showing so I'm sure that the one that is inaccurate is the Beanstalk one. I'll look into it more and report back.
By the way, did you get my PM about AFH and hosting websites?

Yeah I figured it out, I'm just tired. Just gonna stick with the one that GravityBox uses as it matches all of my RAM managing apps.

@moritz31 camera doesn't take pictures with flash. I'll see if I can pull the camera from SlimKat and report back.
Edit: Tried installing camera and gallery from SlimKat. Still no go. I'll try to get a hold of @DAddYE and see if he can look into it.

Well, I've never heard of this rom before. Are there any features different from cm/aokp/aosp? or is this like a pacman?

Flash the rom and find out.
I've used it as my daily driver on my S3 and S4 until I got rid of them. It's basically like AOKP, AOSP, and Pac all built on top of CM. It has almost every feature from all of the great stock android roms. Probably the best damn rom you'll ever wanna use to be honest.
If you try it out, report back on what you think.

Uploading now. You'll love this rom. The only bug I came across right now is no camera flash but I'm getting that sorted out right now.

@TheKnux
On my Xperia Z I was used PAC and loved it.
Actually I wanted to wait for PAC with working camera, but I have a premonition that Beanstalk could be my new daily driver.
It would be great if the not working camera flash could be sorted out, but if not it would be no reason for me to take distance from this Rom.
Tomorrow I don't have to go to work, so I have much time to test this Rom.

I tried PAC once and stuck with it until I found out about Beanstalk. Ever since then I've used it (except when I got rid of my S4) I tried getting @scott.hart.bti on board to port it to our phones but never got a reply then @moritz31 said he could probably do it and voila!
You won't regret it. I've reached out to @DAddYE about the camera flash and he provided me the info on where to get it but I have no experience with code whatsoever so I'm hoping he could help work out the kinks a bit.

Wow...so this would've been what beanstalk would've been played out if it'd been continued for our device. I'm running this right now and for a nearly 2 month old ROM it had more features then 90% of ROMs a month and half ago. Funny thing is when I checked the skyrocket thread they just released a new new version last night v255 and is this one v251? Hopefully your v2 will be the new build base.:fingers-crossed: But I'm probably gonna go back to DU. But sounds sir thinks again for giving this phone just a lil bit for life when most others have left us as a distant memory. Can't wait for you v2 of this and a v3 of DU.

Thanks for the port. Hats offf to the developers on this one. And to any developer that puts the time in. Between hellkat and this . Beanstalk seems to have just a little better battery life. Although i love both Roms. Would love it if one of the 4.4 roms had otg enabled
