Not real sure about that, but I've been reading lately that MDB is causing issues with AOSP ROMs...

It can be done that way, but it's easier to pull it from the device... Doesn't really matter right now for I337M, they all use the same modem... I'll have one up shortly...

Thanks for this thread, and this for sure is qualified for being sticky as usual.

System Settings -> About device -> Read the "Baseband version" and it should say L900VPALJ1 because that is what the device shipped with
Now only if somebody can make an all in one that includes: firmware/baseband/modem that would be awesome!

Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
I'll see about pulling the full modem image for both and making flashables. As for removing the checks on the ota, that might cause issues. You would probably be better off flashing joshbeach's stock LJC rom and then doing the modem update

1) Update to 4.1.2
2) Bluetooth enhancements
3) Possible boot screen change
Known partitions affected:

HELP NEEDED PM GARWYNN:
In order to make one clicks need a few things:
Modem.bin dump (after update) - MMCBLK0P10
Boot.img dump (after update) - MMCBLK0P8
System.img (after update) - MMCBLK0P13 *Need unrooted and rooted, both otherwise unmodified please!*

Guide: Flashing Verizon/AT&T Roms(List of Confirmed Roms)

Hey guys I just thought I would share that I have successfully flashed both AT&T Rom along with a Verizon Rom (JellyBeans 9). I know the AT&T one is a little more known however I couldnt find one to do with Verizon. So all you have to do is download the Rom of your choice and flash it, then you have to flash the Tmobile Modem and you should be set to go! Hope this helps some people as I contemplated flashing a Verizon Rom on my Note 2. I have also tried International Roms with no luck sadly. This is a community based thread and I couldnt do it without some of the help from you guys, everyone deserves the "Thanks" I get!
Find stock Modem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102380
Caution: This is not an official guide its just something I have found after flashing some ROMs I personally THINK MAJORITY of the ROMs should work but I take no responsibility for bricks.
I am going to start a list of Confirmed Roms if you have a Rom from a different carrier then please tell me and I will update the list, Thanks!

Yes it works I started a thread about this a week ago in general forum. Flash rom then kernel and modem for tmobile. If you download a rom that doesn't give you data, once you flash rom and its booted up, turn on wifi and go to market to download hiapn and itll help restore apn settings giving you data again. Every rom ive tried has workes. Verizon, tmobile, sprint, and at&t.

Sorry I just want to make sure I understand this. So we download any kernel for the t-mobile note 2 and the modem. Then download an AT&T rom and flash it with the kernel and modem?

No need. The kernel goes with the ROM.
All you should need is the modem.
Yeah no need to flash a different Kernel.

I tried jelly beans rom which was pretty good just didn't like battery life. I'm now on a AT&T ROM right now which is cleanrom I'm staying on this one for awhile.
Just wanted to say you really shouldn't even need to flash a modem unless the rom your wanting to flash contains a modem. If the rom contains a modem then you'll need to flash a T-Mobile modem otherwise you will still have the same modem you had before flashing.

DO NOT FLASH this.

Have a great day!
It won't flash through Odin. Even if it does, it will brick the M919 due to different modem.

Jamison from Infamous fame has a thread above here with the new 4.3 TW leak. You would think this version being from T-mobile would have been a better place to start since the possible wifi-calling.

This isn't 4.3, though.
Some people don't care about Wifi Calling like myself, lol.
But that is the whole point of T-mobile-wifi calling for those with little or no signal in home area. Those of us who want/need wifi calling are tired of waiting for latest update and would like to know if this package contains it. If so, we would like for someone to look at it and see if we can use it.

Hey I've been running this ROM on the sgh-t889 with little to no problems. If you want to be on the current version (3.1.1) flash dn3 v1.0 first and then the latest build. I check n7105 in aroma and note 3 launcher only and it works for me.

Thanks, did you update to official 4.3 before you flashed DN3? Or did you just jump from 4.1.2 to DN3? Thanks!

I updated w/ the official 4.3 update because I don't have warranty anyways so I didn't care & plus it got rid of the WiFi and data drops.

Why port it? There's no difference between porting it and flashing it w/ the new modem. You'll get the same results except for maybe one feature that they dont have is WiFi calling.

That's a pretty important feature for me. A port that included this feature would be awesome. Can you, or anyone, recommend a way to perform wifi calling on att roms?
Can't find the 4.3 modem for t889. Also do we flash tmo modem and kernel with dn3? Should tmo users download the LTE version? Matter of fact, it'd be nice if someone with experience flashing this on the T-Mobile t889 did a step by step instruction.

I'm sure there's a link floating around somewhere. I dont know where it is. I didn't flash the kernel, but i did flash the modem. And download the first one where it says something about AT&T i317 v2. or something, its something similiar to that.
