But I just did a complete wipe and re-install and without doing anything looked for those two theme apps and they are not there. Is there any way to get them by downloading them somewhere?
Nevermind, I am re-downloading and will re-install tonight.

Rule Editing
Now simpler and more nuanced, the rule editor screen is a joy to use, both for old users as well as new. Focusing on simplicity and ease of use, the new Rule editor allows you to do the following easily and without any hassle-
Edit the type of rule, and set a name for it
Icons for both adding conditions as well as actions, thus giving you easy visual cues while setting up a rule
Easier to make creative rules by mixing and matching different icons, and come up with new combinations
Broken Rule Indicators
As simple but useful feature, which as the name suggests, allows you to understand much more easily as to which rules are not functioning properly. In the screenshot, you will see this visual cue depicted as a broken arrow, thus letting you know that something might be wrong with that particular rule.
UI changes to Locations and Rules list screens
The locations screen now features an option to selectively see what rules are available for you to use. You can choose to see rules based on their particular conditions/usage functions. Initially we have provided the following – Al/Enabled/Disabled/Battery/Location/Sensor/Utility. Also featuring minor improvements is the Locations page, where you can track various different locations depending on your choice.

As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.
Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.
Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experimental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

You can use any CM theme from play store. The clock can be centred from settings, system, status bar.

2 more questions if i may please
*. with each update in this rom will we need to full wipe and reinstall from backup or we will have the ability to dirty flash an update?
*. since this is a CM based i assume we will need (as also stated) follow the CM install.
if i already have TWRP, will i still need to replace that will CMW after running the LOKI file in order to install this rom?
oh, and are there any reported known issues like BT not streaming and MMS (stuff i noticed in MC since its only RC and not official)
again, appreciate all the VERY hard work and help

We started the Avatarrom development 10 months back when CM9 was stable. 2 weeks back we released the first version which was based on CM9 (ICS). We upgraded our base from CM9 to CM10 last week and we will upgrade to CM10.1 in coming weeks.

We have a tool to convert the MiUi themes to CM compatible themes. We will release the tool in coming weeks so anyone can use it to convert the themes.
On our part we will be adding converted themes and themes created by us to online server. We just released a christmas theme.

I can't get this to boot up. Download it twice and also tried flashing it with cwm and it will boot to the Google log after that just a black screen and won't go pass that. Phone sat for 25min. Anyone else

As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.
Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.
Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experimental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

The only thing is, I don't know why I would switch from my current rom, MIUI 2.11.14, for this. It just seems like MIUI with less of the options that you get with MIUI to me. There are no real MIUI themes here, you can't fully customize your themes (ie changing your lockscreen, icons, navbar, etc, to all be from different themes), you don't have MIUI Toolbox or ControlPanelSuite options, I just don't know. I'm not trying to be offensive or anything, just wondering how this would be better than regular MIUI.

Because this ROM is based on CM. We like MiUi as well and we love CM. What we are trying to do is bring the awesomeness of MiUi themes to CM.

Way to ruin Xmas

i flashed this rom and got some errors, android has stopped working and then it said avatar has crashed. i didn't get a setup screen also, was i supposed to?
the way i flashed was: wipe factory/reset, wiped cache, wipe dalvik, wiped system, then flashed rom and flash the latest gapps 12122012 then wiped cache and dalvik again then rebooted. this is how i flash all the roms i use and haven't had a problem except this time. did i do something wrong in the flashing on this one?

You flashed the wrong gapps. The one you flashed is for 4.2.1 you need the ones for 4.1.2 dated 10/11/12 I believe

It wasn' ignorance, that's the thing. I was honestly curious as to why someone would prefer this ROM. I appreciate the actual Dev's response to my questions because it made sense and wasn't rude, unlike your comment. Telling me that I don't need to know why is ignorance. I'm allowed to ask questions if I have them, that's what it's all about, is it not? No need to apologize for my 'ignorance' when you're doing the exact same thing.

If u use miui then hopefully uve tried a cm10 ROM. Any cm ROM will fly compared to a miui ROM. Miui was never meant to be on our phones, every ROM uve used is a port. Cyanogen himself has cooked us some slick ROMs for this phone. But, honestly, to see Ur comment first thing after a dev spent so much time making us a ROM and a xhangelog and all that disappoints us all. Next time, think about saying thanks, I'll flash and let u know my findings. The rest of us understand cm10 is fast and know how this ROM could be great.

Can't access SD card
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for the phone and I still cannot access my internal/external storage when connected to my computer. Anyone else get this?

I would love to try this rom but just installed few hardcore games and some insane account sync. But this is the rom I have been waiting for CM and miui in one..

Yup, my thoughts exactly Deff gonna have to give this a try when I get done sampling all the others. But its really cool to see a MIUI-CM hybrid!

Stable release 3.0 - 07/02/2013
As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.
Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.
Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experiemental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

Loving the ROM..thank you. Anyway of getting toggles instead of power widget for toggles?

Go to settings -> System -> Notification Drawer -> Enable or disable the power widget toggles. Also you can change the position of widgets in statusbar as per your choice.

In all the other AOSP ROMs that I used, there were two types of toggles in settings. Power widget and stock toggles. I'll look for a screenshot for ya. Again, not a big deal.

Maybe its a AOKP thing.

I'm detecting a problem. I keep getting notifications that my "ASOP keyboard has stopped working" and "Avatar Rom has detected a crash". Also when I press the homesscreen button down atvyhe button of the phone it doesn't go to the home screen. Another thing is the GAPPS that was in the OP wasn't able to get transferred to my phone for some reason.

All CM10.1 issues exist in this ROM. We update the ROM every week on Friday and we follow CM code base very closely (1-2 days).
This ROM is equivalent to CM10.1 ROM + MiUi like themeing functionality + many more features.

Fixed some critical issues reported in previous build.
Added Gestures in workspace. A settings page also added to configure gesture actions. Different gestures like swipe-up, swipe-down, double-tap, home-button press are added. Different actions for each of the gesture can be set in preference.
Added ""edit workspace"" option in menu button.
Removed ""pinch to preview mode"". This option is currently disabled for some issues as we can go to preview mode through many other ways. It will be added later.

if you are updating from an older version of Avatar to 2.8b without a wipe. You will have to clear data of Bazooka Launcher
Under settings, Apps -> all apps -> bazooka -> clear data...
If you are moving from an old Avatar build to 2.8b without a wipe
Try clearing data of Bazooka
Drag down Status bar -> Toggles page -> Settings -> Apps -> All -> Bazooka -> Clear data

CyanogenMod merges till May 2nd 2013.
SystemUI fixes during expanded desktop (the background was not covering till the end. Also portrait - landscape transition, the notifications wouldn't expand fully)
ThemeChooser : Fixes for text invisible in installed themes tab for dark themes
ThemeChooser will not handle market links anymore and Memory leak fix.
Old themechooser is removed completely.
Launcher : Fix crash without wipe & make dockbar transperant.
In OTA updater show that the gapps and rom is installed if they are installed. ( Previously it used to show new or downloaded).
Change Cyanogen Mod Updates to Avatar Updates

Can we use the AOKP themes from the themes settings from the system settings?
.i will change to ZL soon, and i want to root n change ROM as soom as i get that phone, before i insert my docomo sim card.

You can definitely use the CM themes but we have not tried AOKP themes.

Wow thanks~ that's exactly what i wanted to hear. And one more thing. About the lockscreen. Uh... can we make it like simple lockscreen? like any other jelly bean roms?

All CM10.1 bugs. But we merge the source every week and release it on friday. So as soon as it gets fixed by CM, it will be available on Avatar.

Bravia Engine
there is no Bravia Engine or any other xperia settings right?
or it's just my phone that acted that way?

It's something that happens when the DRM keys are lost due to unlocking bootloader. You need to have backed up the TA partition before unlocking the bootloader. As of yet there doesn't seem to be a way of re-obtaining the TA partition unless you backed it up before unlocking the bootloader. You cannot ask someone else for their TA partition either, as this will hard brick your device.

Avatar Team is proud to present the second update for Theme Editor tool. Based on the feedback, we have added option to edit avatar themes directly from the tool. There is no need to extract the theme apk from phone, copy to desktop and edit it.
