Play Store 4 [THEME] Google Play inspired - [4/15/13 - NOW INVERTED!] - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

HELLO XDA! Time for a new theme
This time around, I decided to take a hack on the NEW Google Play Store UI. I introduce to you....
Play Store 4

INVERTED
The main idea about this theme is to capture the new Google look. You got your cloud storage banner in the middle, with your top 3 favorite apps on the bottom, recommended for YOU.
I am taking REQUESTS for different cloud option banners.
If you don't use Dropbox, I'll put in Google drive. If not Google drive, I'll make a BOX one. If you use NO cloud storage, I can simply make you a huge app banner with your favorite app.
I am possibly thinking about taking requests for the Recommended For You options.
TUTORIAL VIDEO BELOW! CHECK IT OUT!
Dropbox Files with PSD -
http://db.tt/oT7KncYB
This is how requests should be
TOP- *application name*
Cloud Banner-*application or cloud storage name*
RFM Banners- *application name*
For the cloud banner, tell me if you want a star rating, company name, and install button! I can do that for you to give you the google play store look.
Time to get back to work!
Bigger requests will be pushed back to the end of my list! Little ones first, and then I will get to your complicated ones, but no worries, it will get done. Just give me TIME.

Changlog - 4/13
~ALL top banner requests from now on will have Roboto light font
~No more shadows on RFM banners now!*
~Recommended for You is now italics to match real play store
~Building up a folder full on individual .pngs that people can pick from, ranging from top banners, middle, and RFM banners.
Changlog - 4/15
~Inverted NOW AVAILABLE
~All Recommended for You banners went through a few fixes (stars should now all be aligned)
~More files added to .png folder (which will be available to everyone at a later date)
Will this have buzzlauncher support?
-No, not yet at least. Buzz launcher is a cool launcher, but I believe it is to early of a launcher to start building to.

This looks so sweet!!

So what is themed here?

No problem! Remember, I am only taking requests for the cloud banner AT THE MOMENT. I may or may not do the recommended apps section. But just in case, put in your requests for whatever you please, the more it is, the longer it may take but it will get done. Atleast I think so haha!

[Taking Requests]Google Voice [JB/ICS Themed] [apk] Now Also in HoloGreen

Now in holo_red: http://www.sendspace.com/file/hd4wdn
Now in holo_green: http://multiupload.biz/xmoi0v2qc508/signed-GoogleVoiceGreen_MultiUpload.biz.apk.html
After seeing a bunch of mods for the messaging app, I decided to edit the google voice app. Rather than start from stock I used the one in this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1654257
and made it a bit more blue as the white is a bit too harsh for my eyes.
This should also help with battery life for those who prefer google voice over the stock messaging app.
It should be the latest version as it isn't asking me to update google voice.
Just put the apk on your phone and install it from a file manager such as astro
The difference between more blue and part blue is that part blue leaves the name/number at the top white (I prefer this one more). I'm also thinking of switching the message count back to white as well.

Don't know for sure but it took forever. Providing another mirror: dl.dropbox.com/u/31392350/BlueWhiteGVoice_MultiUpload.biz.apk
I would be interested in learning how to customize apps such as google voice. Where is a good place to start? I tried using google but as usual, information overflow which had nothing to do with what I was searching for.
Do I even have the correct file? file name is etype2_V_setup.exe?? Shouldn't it be an apk file? Don't trust the OP links. At least give us the correct file names so we know what we are downloading.
edited for lack of coffee...

Saw this yesterday. Is it comparable in quality to evernote?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Yes it is really nice and it's a Google product so quality it definitely there.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
I was curious how much was going to be included on that app since it was brand new.
I downloaded it and the first thing I did was open Google Now and say "note top self". It worked like a charm. Plus you can share notes with any one. It's definitely a go. It might even get the flossy seal of approval.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
Well, I will check it out! I really like evernote so you guys are encouraging me with your comments!

if you have evernote, I'd stick with it...
I don't like that it doesn't take your tasks you already have in Gmail, nor is it easy to get to the web page unless you've bookmarked it...
There's just some overall niggles I don't like too.
Good idea on paper, needs some work

Web support will be added later. This was mentioned on Google's blog.
I like that with Google Keep, you can say "Note to self". Keep also transcribes speech to text. Evernote doesn't do that.

Google Now/Voice commands already has that feature (saying note to self) and keep is probably piggy backing on it.

Except previously, it would only email the note verses "Keep"-ing the note.
Evernote doesn't take advantage of note-to-self and also does not do speech-to-text transcription.

I have been using the app for the last two days and I really enjoy it lots of great points made but overall this app is from Google and has full Google now so support!
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
Neemot, I really couldn't agree more. While the stock "memo" app is adequate the "Keep" app really excels. I too have been playing with it the last few days and it is awesome. If anyone is on the fence(which it is free so that makes no sense if you are) let me articulate why it is nice.
1. Ease of use. It is simple and uncomplicated. While some other note apps are cluttered with features this really shows less is more.
2. The ability to share. Great for families.
3. Universal voice to text.
4. Great widget.
5. Easy organization within the app.
One feature I would love to see is picture to text. My wife and I keep our grocery list on a white board in our kitchen. We usually just snap a photo of it as we head out the door. If that picture could be turned into a list on your phone that would be pretty dandy.
Well, that's my two cents. In short, Google Calendar and now Keep really help it busy family out.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
Yes, I used the "note to self" a lot...didn't like that it went to email, now it's better. I can't wait til they update this more...hopefully they won't 'sunset' it like they've done to a lot of other things...
I would love to see Google Tasks get rolled into this, where you can add a datetime due date/reminder for a given Keep note.
I cant download from store for dony know what. Searched net and could not find the apk. Can anyone of you please attach the apk here. Thnx in advance.

Team Black Out Presents.... The Dark Side....Blacked Out Apps

"Welcome to the Dark Side"
Click the quote above to access the site
Team Black Out is made up of some of the best of the best in the industry when it comes to making Blacked Out Apps and Transparent Apps. We decided to team up and release the largest list of Blacked Out Apps available and add to it as often as possible. Our goal is to offer an ongoing list of apps that are updated as soon as possible after the stock app updates by letting just 1 person update it rather than 3-10 of us doing our own thing and ultimately ending up with the same end result.. an Inverted app. So, by doing this, we will be able to branch out and get the list to over 100 apps in time! Many of us have been doing this for over 3 years and some have just began their journey to the Dark Side but we are a team and will work together like a team. The veterans will help train the new-comers how to start from scratch and fully Black Out an app by editing xml lines, drawable images and smali classes files. On the site, we have guides available and will add more of them in time. We announce the Team over a month ago and now the day is here!

T-BOTs are the Team Black Out Testers. When we update an app or start a new one from scratch, we can put anywhere from 20 minutes to 10 hours into 1 app for all of you and then testing that app can take 10-60 minutes and we don't use every app we Black Out so we're bound to miss some hidden things. Well, this is where our Loyal T-BOTs come into play. Once we update an app they get busy looking for issues for us. This gives us more time to be able to update more apps, start new apps or just have some non-android fun. So make sure you thank the T-BOTs when you get blown away from how amazing these apps are!
Obviously this style is the most popular. We don't theme our apps with images but rather Invert the Colors so you'll;ll have Dark backgrounds and Light texts. This is very popular and has become something that many avid Android users have come to thoroughly enjoy this look so we will do our best to give you more of what you love!
Transparent apps have become more popular the last year or so and some members of the Team have been offering them for a while now. Our transparent series of app are called Clear Apps. Being able to see your wallpaper while you';re using your favorite apps is just cool! We still have to update the site with all of our Clear Apps...
Ok kids... click on "Welcome to the Dark Side" at the top and it will take you to our official Team Black Out website! All downloads are hosted there only to keep track of everything. If you've used any of our apps in the past in your Aroma installers or in your ROM, you can still use them. Link back to our SITE wherever you post our content tho. Do not post something in a different forum using our work and then PM us to let us know and hope it's ok with us.... It isn't. Ask first and we'll work with you but ask for forgiveness and we have a problem.

Just saying you should learn what you're doing. Not everyone is going to cater to what you know and you can ruin your phone just trying stuff. I'm not your mom or anything though. I don't have to take care of your phone. I know what I'm doing.

can the themed apps be updated like regular ones? I mean, if google, facebook, whatever sends a update, will play store update it normally?
Thanks

No you will have to wait until they update the app on the site usually within a day or two. Facebook will take the longest to get updated

[APP] [4.1+] HALO))) Redesigned. | Elegance. | (09/26/13) [v1] Holo + Holo Light!

Hello!
As some of you may know, I love Googles MenuDrawer. To me, it's beautiful, and is a fantastic way for users to navigate through the application, as it really isn't intrusive.
I love ParanoidAndroid, and the HALO))) application. I figured I'd sit down and see what I could do with it.
Several hours later, I had it. Everything works, it looks how I wanted it to, and it runs awesome. (Not saying it didn't before, but let's be honest, this kinda sh** sounds good).
So, here's a big fancy title. Oh, and I totally made a new icon for the app too. I totally suck at art and design and stuff, but I think it looks kinda decent.
HALO))), Customized.
Information:
(In this case, what's different from the 'official' app, versus mine, basically).
* HardwareAccelerated
* As mentioned prior, it takes full use of Googles MenuDrawer
* Heavily redesigned UI
* Added in a bug report and request section that comes to me via Email
* Added a Google Now styled layout that replaces the 'Helper' popup when you first start the application up
* I don't want to be 'that' guy who lists like, every single feature of an app, so lastly, the annoying 'Do you have PA?' AlertDialog has been added to the Menu, instead of popping up
* Other stuff, I won't list any other things
Changelog:
(Let's just call it v1 to make life easier).
Code:
v1: Initial release
I know it still kinda sucks, but I was too excited to wait.

Works nice! I don't normally use Halo but I just tested it anyways. More screens are attached, for all of those concerned about permissions: Full Network Access & Run at Startup (Which means yes, MBQ will harvest your data and then use it to track you down to harvest your organs )

Lol yeah, I also saw a bit of a mess in the rom thread, people never learn
On a lighter note, I think these bugs should go in place of the caterpillar

Done.
:highfive:
but this app do not have floating bubble? Will it?
Nice job with this. The UI looks great, and it's definitely an improvement over the current app made by PA.
Why don't you merge it with theirs?
PS: What's with the pixelated PA logo in the middle of the app?

lol, I'll change it with the next update ha
And I would, but the only way I can submit stuff to PA is through pull requests, which means editing one file at a time hahah
