HTC 8S cover - Windows Phone 8s by HTC

Hello to all. I've just changed my heavy LG E900 Optimus 7 with a nice HTC 8S.
I want to ask you which is in your opinion the best case for it between a GEL case, an hard case and a "mix" case in ABS and rubber outside.

I bought white plastic Jekod
Hardware control buttons are convenient, phone looks elegant and strenuous impression that it was harder or thicker

This is a fantastic case.
Original HTC , made for HTX 8S.
search "HTC Hard Shell Case for Windows Phone 8S - Blue/White" at Amazon

Nice. Thanks for the tip.

Metal back for HTC 7 Trophy

It would be really nice if we could buy a custom made metal battery cover for HTC Trophy. If you see something on the internet please post a link here on the thread. I think it would be the perfect phone with a metallic back cover, made from the black metal around the screen.

[Q] HTC Hero Shield (GSM)

Was just wondering if anybody know about a good shield for the HTC Hero (GSM version). I used to have the flexishield before, but the phone became too bulky for my liking though so I got rid of it. Now the paint has started coming off on the corners of the phone. So does anybody have a good shield, which is a bit thinner than the Flexishield?
Thanks

You could try a Zagg invisibleshield or StealthGuard

Plastic body a bad thing?

Quick question about the One X. When I compare the One X with the One S, I must admit that the promise of a hardened (I dont remember what the process was called) alloy body that the One S has seems a lot more appealing than the plastic body of the One X. Those of you who already have it, what do you think about the build quality in general compared to phones made out of various metal? (HTC One S, iPhone 4x, Sensation S, etc)..
Plastic body is easier to mould and lighter than metal and just as durable, plus it don't interfere with wireless signal.
I'm happy with the plastic feel of my One X.
Iphone 4 don't count as it uses regular glass for the back, can't imaging wost material as it is both slippery and easy to break.
Sensation felt clammy and like it could easily slip out of my hand. The One X has a lovely grip to it, and doesn't get all clammy. The lightness is great too.
Definitely a better material to use.
The best thing I like about this phone compared to others I've had in the past is that there seems to be no light leakage where the edge of the screen meets the body of the phone. I hated my Evo 3D and Desire HD for this.
I've haven't held the One S so I can't really compare the two, but the One X feels solid and very light at the same time. I'm starting to get used to the weight of it though and it doesn't seem as light as when I first picked it up.

The finish on the black one s version doesn't appear to be that durable:

And NFC can be used with the One X polycarbonate finish. Afaik One S doesn't have NFC?

Thanks for all the feedback. Ill head down to the store to hold it myself. I disagree with glass being a poor construction material. Glass can shatter, but generally holds up against daily usage fairly well and scratches tend to look less disturbing than they do on plastic covers.

How does your HOX not slip out of your hands? Mine is like soap unless I'm squeezing the hell out of it or it's lying with the screen upwards. Do you use a phone cover? Any someone would recommend?
One S - Ceramic
One X - Polycarbonate
All in all, the One X still feels more solid than the S3, which looks and feels like a plastic toy..
I disagree... the One S both looks and feels a lot better in terms of build quality and sturdiness in my opinion. The glossy plastic on the One X looks awful!

Huh what? The One X is glossy? Are you sure you're holding a One X? The only glossy part of the One X are the sides @[email protected]

I am indeed referring to the sides..
And I own both a One S and a One X, but I simply find that the One S feels a lot more solid and exclusive in hand. Not sure why people find this so hard to understand. To me, oxidized aluminium is a lot more appealing than plastic.

One S does indeed feel better materials wise my sister has one. But our matte finished HOXs feel better than other similar plastic devices out there. The uni body design is well made on the HOX. iPhone 5 feels great too with its finish.

Video Review: Speck CandyShell Grip for HTC One X

Hi guys,
Got my hands on the CandyShell Grip case, from Speck at my local AT&T store. This is a one-piece hybrid style case that incorporates silicone and plastic in one. So while you get a sleeker case (since it's not 2 pieces) while obtaining the benefits of both materials. It's pretty simple to put on, and I love the look - but removing this case is very, very difficult.
Check out the full review below:
Damn that looks cool. Where to buy online with shipping to europe?
The case looks really cool and protective!
The downside (and the reason why I am not buying that one) is the volume-rocker and power button
I really like the look of the case! Interesting to see it on a white One X.
BTW, Speck's website claims that the case will be available in mid-June, while obviously they are available right now. Pretty annoying.
Can't post links but go to speckproducts.com and search for HTC One in the search box and you'll see.

Thanks! As I thought, the case does looks much better on it.
Can you post a picture of the front of the phone too?
Did you buy the case from at&t?
I have that very case and I think it is great. I have no problems at all with the on/off and volume switches. They are firm but not difficult to press as the video seems to imply. Nor was it particularly difficult to remove if you start from the stretchy earphone jack area. I particularly like that the case is just thick enough to protect the camera lens when lying on its backside. And for me the look is strikingly good.

In the video you say:
"...the silicone will allow you to...manure them out of place.."
Can you please explain that in more detail please?

[Q] Recommend me a tough, protective case

Hi all,
I'm struggling to find a readily available (in the UK at least), tough, protective case for the Moto X (2013).
I'm looking for a case that will prevent my Moto X from being damaged when it is dropped and that doesn't slide around too much when the phone is on a table.
Can anybody help me out?
I ordered a Supcase from Amazon and I've been happy with it.
My two favorite cases (and I have been through a bunch of 'em) are:
Incipio Dual Pro: good dual layer protection, extremely grippy outer shell, excellent button feedback, easily installed and removed.
Cons are the soft touch finish picks up stains easily, and the silicone inner liner is a dust magnet.
Trident Aegis: even more protection than the Incipio, especially on the corners. Button feel is also good.
Cons are it's hard plastic bag is not as grippy as the Incipio, and it is noticeably more difficult to install and remove, and it is a bit larger.
For 90% of my needs the Incipio is the winner.

I use a ballistic sg case its VERY protective and wasn't that expensive
Would you mind providing some links?
Ballistic is a us company so you would likely need to look on eBay or amazon. Just look for moto x ballistic SG case

+1 for the supcase.
only thing i hate on the case is that the color is on the back, not on the rim. my old one was the opposite it was much better.
also, just like the phone without case, if you lay it on the table and use with one finger, the phone will get pushed all over the desk and spin because of the concave back. hate that as well.
all that considered, it was still the least worst.
now they have a transparent back one that does have the color on the rim. i'd get that one. even the dev edition having that lame white back
I have the "smoke" back with the black sides. The back isn't completely clear. I like it though it does get scratched a bit.
I wouldn't say it gets pushed all over, but yes, it can move a bit. I use the calculator on my desk with one finger without much trouble.
I have the basic black stock VZW Moto X. No cool colors or designs.
Still looking!

So you've tried the suggestions in this thread and still have not found one you like? If that is not the case, what are we to make of this post?
I got the supcase and can confirm it's light weight and offer good protection. I also love the feel of the material.
But as with all cases, that one time you try to unlock with the phone resting on a table and the phone moves and spins is enough to drive you mad.
I'm now using a $1.99 case from monoprice. It's also protective and holds the phone to the table as if it were glued! Without holding in your pocket. Very happy with it. I will only use the supcase one now if I'm traveling.
