Please do not just make a thread because of this. With some search and read other people's posts you will get the answer for this.
Have you installed HARD-SPL DEVELOPER EDITION? If not CLICK HERE FOR THE LINK. Then try to install a rom, make sure you have at least 50% of battery on you phone. If your problem presists then you should ask some other professional member.

this is also the incorrect place for "Help" as it is not related to "ROM Development" so please post in the General Diamond Forum.

if it were to late wouldnt it be just "dead"

You have a GPS enabled ROM with a non-GPS enabled radio. Please upgrade your radio.

Ok ok.
First off, READ before flashing! If you did, this wouldn't have happened.
Next, what OS are you using? XP? Vista? Are you running it inside of a virtual machine? (like inside Mac OS X) Because that could brick your device.
Did you try unlocking your device before you flashed the ROM? You must do this before flashing to custom ROMS.
What does your bootloader screen say? What are your ROM and Radio versions?
you need to upgrade your radio 3.42.50 then reflash the ROM...
Wonder if he got it fixed?

Please help, loaded expired ROM

Ok, I tried to search and cannot find a fix for this. I managed to load an expired Beta ROM on my phone. Now I cannot connect via activesync to load another one that functions. I just get a screen that says
" This concludes the BETA testing of this software release........"
Some one please help, I tried searching, but could not find anything.
Thanks everyone. I guess this is what I get for playing with different ROMs.
Flash a new one by SD Card then
Thanks, I will search on how to do that.
Thanks
Downloaded Factory ROM and loaded from Bootloader.
THanks
Yep, you still can enter bootloader and load another rom.

Did you try the options already stated in this thread?
You can put the phone in bootloader and flash the stock (or shipped rom) or flash another rom using the sd method (like the at&t stripped). Then you might want to also do some reading before you flash again, just to make sure you know how to unbrick.
This has been stated many times around the forums, and on the wiki.
To put your phone into boot loader hold the left ok key and the power button at the same time and hit the reset key with the stylus.
The info for flashing via the sd method is in the wiki, and I believe flashing from bootloader is there too.
The search button up there between "New Posts" and "Quick Links" is a good friend for the information hungry. This phone is old enough that I would guess any problem you have, has been experienced and solved by someone else already.

and it WON'T work. You cannot fight with this for yourself, it requires fixing a ROM itself. Just do what others said earlier, what they were writing for?....
Go to the bootloader and flash another ROM.
Please close thread. Asked / Answered...Resolved.

bricked my GSM diamond with CDMA

hi folks,
seems to be that i have a BIG problem...
my t-mobile diamond had some heavy connection problems the last days (apart from this battery sucking system that made me charge it twice a day), so i decided to install both a new radio rom and a new WM rom on it.
after all those attempts didnt work (yes, i've read the threads and yes, i've followed the instructions! ), i got the ****ING IDEA to follow the instruction shown on youtube.com/watch?v=ZYGibMZC7-g (see also forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062) for a CDMA diamond. don't ask why, i thought that i could own a cdma phone as all of the gsm software didn't work... :-//
during step no. 1 (unlocking - yes, i wanted to do the whole programm! :-/ ) my diamond switched off and ... is dead now! no chance to switch it on, no chance to get into bootloader, no chance to hardreset...
now my question to the pros: do i have ANY chance to reanimate my diamond? i would be grateful for any ideas!!! thanks in advance,
p.p.
have you tried vol down and soft reset simultaneously?

yes, didnt work...
Try a hard reset. If that doesnt work see if you can enter bootloader. Instructions can be found in a search.

thanks, but as i've already written, both doesn't work. my diamond is simply... DEAD! :-(
yep looks like it
anyone ANY idea to get my diamond back to life?
my frind i think you nead a new mb so you must go to htc service
It was quite common, when people were looking desperately for SU and were using CDMA soft.. Sorry to say this, but your diamond is a brick now, and only motherboard replacement will do. there are some hardcore people on this forum who are rescuing such phones, but I'm not sure if they are still operational. Search for JTAG on teh forum, or send it to the service. If it;s on guarantee, then you should be fine, as they shouldn't be able to determine what happened. Otherwise you can always zap the phone with a stunner, and presto, phone ready for guarantee.
your phone is dead bro, i will be willing to buy it from you, i need peices to fix mine, pm me if interested
hey dude, dont worry..u're like the umpteeth guy who did it..just refer to this forum forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-488687.html..haha
I have long time ago also installed a CMDA-ROM accidentally. When the flashing procces ended I just got only the slpash screen (black without Rom Version Information).
I thought my Diamond was bricked but i could not believe it . After i had performed a hardware reset several times i used mitty and i could flash a ROM.
Now i have mostly a ROM as backup on my storage-card this in case it will go wrong during flashing procces.

Did you read through all the sticky threads in the rom sub forum? You must have missed a step... like Hard SPL or something. Go have a thurough read through and then if you post something in there you'll likely get an answer a lot quicker then you would out here.
Hope it works out for you.
thank you do u think u could give me a link to the best thread

Did you actually search for the hard spl thread? You can't expect that people will do everything for you....It's in the rom development section...

did you formated the device before flashing ? task29 .. mtty ?
this i had few times after much flashing. but few times meaning 2-3 after MAAAANY flashing .. but if it is often .. probably some leftovers from previous rom ?
it is not a screen problem!
cheers
Even i have this now for the past 2-3 weeks, i thought my diamond was dying
Lets see what happens im gonna backup my phone and try formating it today.
It also happens to me sometimes... But I don't restart the phone... I wait some minutes that the device go into sleep mode and after that the screen is normal again.
It happens very rarely and I don't know what's the cause...
I always flash the device using mtty.
Bye
Marshall
yes it started also on mine, today i had to reboot it twice because of this problem.
I'm using last memo rom with sense 2016.
i never had that problem until now, and i flashed like hundred times almost every rom here, always with mtty.
i have faced that problem too! it's not a big deal for my phone. try to flash other ROM to your Device.i'm using Memo too! and i love it.
maybe it's because a bad ROM flash. try to flash it with other ROM and flash again with your current ROM and try to flasy using mmty.
I have a same issue and I thought that my device is gonna die
I'm using Rottgrub's rom and I alwasy do mtty before flashing rom
I am having the same problem, since the past few weeks. I have flashed the device say 100 times. I've tried different ROMs and the problem recurrs. I do a soft rest and everything returns to normal.
One observation is that when I do task 29. I get I get atleast 5 'ERASE block xxx FAIL' messages. I hope someone can help in this regard.
When I using GenY 2.6 with Sense, I also got this problem. But I change to 6.5 with titanium, the problem gone. I think the reason is sense, or maybe run too much 3D with Sense.
And of course, I don't think It's a hardware issue.
@sobny:
Yeah- it only happens when I use Sense Rom
as far as i heard, is just "overflashing" .. and NOT known solution for "snow like screen" ..
and it is NOT sense related, as few times i turned OFF sense, and used SPB mobile shell ..

basicly that is flash error, i mean .. blocks in phone, like bad sectors on hard drive, but in the great mtty guide .. it says
ERASE block xxx FAIL !!!
ERASE block xxx FAIL !!!"
(where x is a random number)
This has been asked 100+ times in this thread so this is the final time I will answer:
IT MEANS NOTHING..NADA..ZIP! I have not experienced ANY problem with this output...Please stop asking!
