I have seen many custom roma for phones but i haven't seen iOS 13 running on Android, I know it's possible back in days I ran iOS 10 on old Samsung phone after install specific iOS rom from a developer,
But i was wondering installing iOS rom will a lot of fun especially when u carry android phone, but sadly no one is working on that, u can use e theme but its in not good,
Do someone know Abt any rom which is Available for Android

I guess you've lived in a cave for many years XD have a bit of reading https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ho...is-closed-but-what-does-that-mean-to-you/amp/
iOS is not open source and may have compatibility issues with android hardware. And besides its impossible to port ios to android.
As many others have pointed out, iOS is closed source; I get the feeling that whatever OP installed on his phone wasn't actually iOS but rather a heavily modified custom Android ROM.

is it possible to flash a android rom on the touch pro 2??? would be nice to have the hero rom on my touch pro 2 idk if its even possible
Yeah if you want to brick your phone then go ahead
You should give it to someone who wants it so bad
Dude Android is a different OS with a completely different architecture.
You may be able to port Android functions to Windows Mobile if someone is willing to do it, but it's impossible to use Android on WinMo *yet*.

I think he talks about running it nativelz on the phone...
I don|t know if you can think of a phone like a pc, but basically shouldnt it be possible to run android on the Rhodium with the right drivers and the right SPL ??
im just saying it would be nice i know its a diffrent os and i cant think of it as a pc but it all really is made by htc if u think about it if someone were able to find a way i would gladly run it on my touch...i realized when i hard reseted my phone it was very similar to when flashing the g1 thats y i asked
And don't forget they both run on the same Qualcomm MSM7200A. Making the supposition that they can be ported more plausible.
It's been ported quite nicely for the Vogue so I don't see why it couldn't be ported for the TP2. I think it just needs a dedicated dev team and a big enough user base to make it worthwhile... I'd definitely be interested in seeing that project come to light!

Yes I have a vogue (Winmo device) and have been using Android exclusively on it for the last month or so - it's fantastic! The reason I lurk in the TP2 thread is hoping Android gets ported over - I love the TP2 and its high on my "want" list but can't go back to Winmo - hopefully Android isn't too far off.
I would pay for it...
Seriously, by donation or actually having to pay for it I would have no issue forking out some dough for android on my TP2. As long as i had all the functions like wifi, 3g, bluetooth, etc. My concern is that the phone may run slower with the higher resolution screen but then again the g1 doesnt run at max cpu speeds on a stock build so maybe running it overclocked(max speed) can help. The battery life on my tp2 is wayyyy better than my g1 so if running the core faster is needed i feel the battery could keep up at least on the level of the g1. Also the additional ram may help too. Its strange how even people who dont know much about phones keep asking if i am gonna run android on it. I love my TP2 but its the hardware I love and the os is good but unless the winmo marketplace gets up an running the momentum android has is just too attractive.

I agree. I would love to have Sense UI on my TP2 once I get it. I hate WinMo, the only reason I'm getting the TP2 is because it's such a siiiick device
I'm happy to find out that I am probably not the only person who fell in love with the device after demo'ing one from the T-Mobile store. I have used windows mobile since about 3 devices ago, got a G1, currently running Sense-UI and loving it!! If the Touch Pro 2 could port an android build over with enough Developer support it could easily be done, just as all the rom flashing we never though would be possible for the G1 but ended up doing daily =) Spread the word and keep asking for developer support, don't be afraid to flash a little cash to make it worth their time, and the community will push it in the right direction
NO!!!DO NOT RUN ANDRIOD ON YOUR TOUCH PRO 2. This is totally different with its own os and that will destroy your phone....
Guinea Pig.
I dont mind being the guinea pig with my TP2 if someone can come up with a way of running android on it. I have a g1 I can use in the mean time. I would even consider a temporary phone donation if this gets some serious attention. Of course I would need it back eventually lol.

Uhm, no? Android runs through HARET, which you run from WinMO, then it closes down WinMO so that Android is the only OS running... and it runs off your SD-card. I have android on my old ELF, and I've ****ed up the install so many times, I dunno' what to do anymore, haha. Phone works fine.

Oh, so this is how the Android runs on the phone. I was under the illusion that I have to delete winmo for the running of android.....(I should learn more about that....)
Interesting, I had a G1 and loved Android. I would pay/donate money to the cause. It's worth a shot with the TP2.
I would love to see this too. I have been using a G1 for the past year and love Android. I just ordered a TP2 however, but would really like to get Android on it eventually.
+1 i would love this aswell
I've been thinking about starting the port (have to wait until the 26th to get my TP2 sadly) for Android. Not great with coding but good enough to make tweaks and such to the linux kernel. If there are any others who are interested, maybe we should get together and get the ball rolling? The TP version should work on the TP2 (same hardware underneath still) with the exception of the screen and CPU. Anyway, if anyone here is good at coding for Linux/hardware/IO/etc, please shoot me an email/PM! Don't really have a need for guinea pigs yet since anything we do will need to be tested right away, not whenever the next guinea pig is available
Does anybody know, about porting this wp7 build, for our devices, if it possible, or not, waiting for answers, thank's.It will be the better than porting Android(which is so hard to do)
Porting wp7 is way harder, you don't have source, you are out of the minimal requirements and you don't even have enough nand..
Android is much more doable..
hi.
we have new htc diamond and I want to ask if is available Android for this phone!
Thank you!
don't dream about that
It's possible but it must be not that easy than Android and it must be really so hard and it takes more a long times to development. I'm sure someday there'll be someone will do that in XDA-Dev.......

I don't think it'll ever come to the htc touch diamond, cause it's like putting android on a Samsung E900 or something, no-one iswaiting on that
Android might eventually be available for NAND on Diamond but my guess is WP7 will never be ported.. Android is just the better OS out of them all
Android had a slow start with coming to the world of mobile operating systems and the G1 was a superb example of what can be achieved. Since then Android has rocketed to the top of the charts and is now running on almost all new devices. Being open source there are a variety of different builds and mods, Including a vast growing number of apps coming to the market
In my opinion Apple will have to do something spectacular with its OS to become the #1 OS again
Come on, think about it, The Diamond struggles to run WM6.5, hell it struggles to run 6.1 sometimes
You really think it will run WP7 ? lol Not a chance
Exactly. And even if it does run it, the battery life is just not enough..
I have TWO 1340mAh batteries and I sometime drain them both in one day!
The 900mAh stock is not enough for half a day for me lol
Although running android 2.3 through haret, I get over a day with the 1340 battery... and its very smooth so having it on NAND it would last a lot longer and I imagine would be somewhat more smooth than what it is now
MOBILE SEVEN Reply
Why would you want to downgrade? There is no "Windows Mobile 7" port for Diamond because nobody wants useless crap on their smartphone.

As you will see with that link, it's not a port of iOS itself but based on Android Gingerbread. The OS is themed with iOS apps, NOT the iOS itself. I'm assuming you mean you want the ROM in the link to be ported, which is unrealistic as the ROM is probably for HDPI devices and too much resizing will be needed. However he does mention it is CM7-based which means it may work (as CM7 works on the Wildfire)if completed.
Bro,i personally dosen't like apple ios and i would never port it on my wildfire....
Porting apple ios to wildfire is next to impossible because it will need many changes in xml files converting it to mdpi and then supporting armv6 processor which is itself a huge task...

We cannot use Apple apps on Android. They use totally different version of Java or something. I would love to though. iOS is all eye candy.
It actually looks like a version of MIUI that's not been fully resized.
I want MIUI on my wildfire, but it is a dream that cannot happen unless everyone works together. But, since there will be no benefit from it, nobody is really willing...
Maybe one day...
EDIT:
If you want a iOS style launcher, search up "Espier Launcher"
It is a 100% imitation. It has the folders, spotlight, wiggling apps when uninstalling, multitasking bar and power controls in the multitasking bar etc.
I have not seen a good iPhone lockscreen imitation yet working on the wildfire (Widgetlocker doesn't have the text, so it isn't a perfect imitation...)
Why would anyone possibly want that?
Android seems like a far more reasonable OS for smart phones.
If you wanted iOS you could of just bought an iPhone and enjoy the kiddo version of a smart phone.

This is why people hate Android lovers like us.
You stating that "Android is just better both OS-wise and design-wise"
Well, OS? No, everyone agrees it is still slightly buggy. Has a few more features than an iPhone, but overall more buggy and unstable.
iOS is a highly polished OS, he clearly wants it for the design of it all. I for one would want an iOS theme on my Android, so I can have the functionality of Android and the sexiness of iOS.
Anyway, iOS can have almost every Android feature once Jailbroken, so it isn't much of a kiddie version.
So, I decided to root my Pixel 3XL and jump back into custom ROM's I haven't done it for years. What ROM currently available it the closest to plain AOSP without too many extrase, that has the most development? strange request, I know, but I would like to have the most pure AOSP ROM I can find.

AOiSP is pretty nice and DU is good too. But the 1st is closer to what you are looking for and both are updated regularly. DU (Dirty Unicorns) you will have to google. I haven't tried the others but from the descriptions they are the most I was interested in.
Shockingly, it seems the ROM scene is nearly dead, which is sad Right now, there's what 5 ROM's or less for the Pixel 3 XL ? This is Google's flagship top of the line device, there used to be dozens of ROM's for the Nexus phones back in the day. Really bums me out how the smartphone scene has died off in regards to rooting and ROM'ing, and don't even get me started on the DEAD Jailbreak scene too, JB's are practically done for iPhone's, which those phone desperately need, as stock iOS is pure sh!tt.
What happened to the good old days, of buying a T-Mobile Note II, or a AT&T S4 and rooting and ROM'ing the same day you unpackaged it.
I have found that in the end, I go back to stock rooted. The custom ROMs are basically stock, with a few other customization options added.

I used to try just about any and every ROM that came along, but stock Android has evolved to the point that I'm quite happy with it. As long as I can root for Substratum, Pie, and Adaway that's pretty much all I need. Plus, all the stock features work as well. i.e the charging stand, etc.

Since you haven't installed a Custom ROM in "years". this guide might help: [Guide] Pixel 3 XL Android 9.0 (Pie) Unlock/Root/Install Images/Kernels/Recovery + by homeboy76

The goods old days... However, at a time when most devices can't even be rooted or unlocked anymore, having root and a few ROMs is all we can hope for. Coming from a locked down tmo Samsung Note 8 this is a dream to me.

Im not bias to either platform, Jailbreaking is still alive, and stock iOS is actually pretty rock solid. it's very stable and runs smoother than android. I own both phones, I can tell you from experience that iOS is much more polished than pie.

Totally agree. I like Apple's hardware, they make and design a beautiful looking smartphone with great hardware, but iOS ugh
no back button, notifications suck, no dark mode, widgets suck, the same grid full of app icons, like from 2007, that still in 2019, 12 years later, you are not allowed to move and place anywhere on the screen you would like. A phone call comes in, and takes up the entire screen, kicking you out of what you were doing. Still no T9 dialer. No AoD ( Always on Display )

hi everyone
I'm New here and my issue that I have Samsung Note 10+ SM- N975U ...4DTH7 and I noticed that My Phone stuck on Android 10 while other Phones around the world has been updated to Android 12
I tried many times to update my phone but every time it said that I got the last Update. So is there any way to update my phone to Android 11 or 12
thanks for your help
Flash manually with odin there is a thread in the guides section with the files you need
I would leave it on 10 until you get feedback on 12 from other users.
No huge reasons to update from 10... but there may be many valid reasons not too!
I have one that's running 9, one that's on 10; both are fast and very stable. Security is not an issue...
Scoped storage and forced encryption are fully active on 11 and up. These will use more cpu cycles and resources. Scoped storage will also screw up older apps that run fine on 10. All apps need to be compatible with 12 or it can cause system wide issues.
11 runs all apps just fine and 12 is pretty stable as well beeen riung the beta with no issues up grade to 11 and wait for stable 12 to come through ota

So what doesn't work besides most older apps?
SOT is how much worse?
Hey I could be all wrong but I think 11 and 12 are wallowing ducks.
Android 10 wasn't a net wash but I still lost valuable functionality and troubleshooting tools to it. For what?
I'm running 2 N10+'s, one on 9, one on 10. I can easily see what was lost or gained. Goggle gestures is a complete bloody abortion, what a mess. Thankfully Samsung has numerous work around modifications and virtual nav buttons can be used.
Lol, which Galaxy themes work with 12?
Android 12 is puking on the flagship Pixel's... that tell you something?
If you upgrade using OTA you are boned if it upgrades the bootloader version (which it usually does)... no going back.
