Question Not Booting ROM issue/Bootloop - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hi there,
The phone is unlocked, the fastboot is loading and running fine without any issues, custom recovery is also can install.
But when flashing even a drain ROM (official MIUI latest and previous) through a fastboot, it does not load into the system (hanging on the Poco logo) with a bootloop. Is there a chance to flash without edl? It looks like something does not allow to boot into the system at all, because usually there should be a MIUI logo but this does not happen, perhaps some kind of boot verification or authorization mechanism is corrupted or broken (?).
Thanks.

Did you use Miflash?

Do a factory reset in recovery mode and try again.

Tried about 4 different ROMs - official and customs thru miflash, fastboot but not working. Just stuck on Poco logo.

This also didn't work. I even did an EDL through an authorized vendor and he flashed it, but it didn't work and the result is the same.

Try formatting data in custom recovery (OrangeFox recommended) before and after flashing official ROM via Miflash.

If the EDL mode did not work, it may be a problem H.W.

Yes, probably something happened with memory and in general with the motherboard.

Did you temporarily deactivate the Anti-Rollback-Feature with
>fastboot flash antirbpass dummy.img
where you will find the dummy.img in the official download of the Xiaomi firmware before trying to boot into recovery?
This needs to be done in the same fastboot-session that you want to boot into recovery.

Many thanks for the advice. Worked like a charm. :good:
No, I did NOT deactivate the Anti-Rollback-Feature which was causing the problem.
In the past, whenever I installed custom recovery on my device including the first time, I did NOT have to flash dummy.img as my device booted into custom recovery without flashing dummy.img.
P.S.: I used dummy.img from this thread:

ONLY IF you have Unlocked-Bootloader, then you can use this MIUI Flashing Guide- Method 2: Fastboot Update to unbrick your device.
Please carefully chose the firmware version (Global / India) to download the fastboot stock ROM for your device.

Great that it solved your problem!
As addendum: The Anti-Rollback (afaik) has to be disabled every single time the recovery is changed/updated. This caught me off guard as I wanted to update TWRP from within the offical TWRP app. This failed and made my recovery unusable (Although I could still normally boot into system).
So let this be a cautionary tale to people.
I can't boot to my custom recovery in my redmi note 5. it is booting to the original recovery. I tried TWRP and REDWOLF recoveries . It will boot in the first time, then I reboot my phone after that when I reboot, it is booting to the original recovery. Same happened when I tried RED WOLf recovery. Pls help me.

You might do something wrong on miflash tool. Retry but I never used this
It's possible to flash global on cn if bootloader is unlocked.
BTW why not flashing orangefox twrp and flash miui with it ? Xiaomi.eu or any other modded miui ?

When you flashed global rom with tool you needed to choose option to only wipe data but you chose flash and lock hence stuck in EDL mode now. Need to have someone with permissions remove it but it take you to open back off phone and do test point. I did same thing as you guys and found a guy you got my phone back. It's an easy error to make and it's why phone will go to fastboot when try to boot. You needed to change option. Try unlock bootloader as if flash work it will boot then when bootloader unlocked
If your bootloader is still unlocked then check the version of global rom your flashing as need a fastboot version not recovery
have you solved your issue?

Hi there,
I encountered the same issue. I tried to flash some CN Rom without enough research, without knowing that you can't just flash an Android 10 rom from 9 directly by recovery (even TWRP). So I ended up Fastboot or TWRP but never able to boot into system. Fortunately I didn't flash my Max3 by fastboot rushly, so my phone was still unlocked.
This is how I solved it:
1. Download an official CN ROM (the below I used is MIUI 11 with Android 9.9.x);
I can't post link here but search "miui通过线刷升级" - you shall see a miui.com link ending with shuaji-393.html. That's the page I download the Mi Max3 ROM from.
2. Use MiFlash to flash the official ROM with the flash option "clean all", NOT "clean All and lock";
3. The phone shall reboot into system, give it 5-10 minutes;
4. Flash the miui.eu ROM you like (DO make sure it is Android 9 tho) by recovery (tutorial given under every official xiaomi.eu ROM download).
Again it's easy to search
It took me less than an hour to do it (I don't have much experience with new XiaoMi phone). So don't worry about bricking your phone forever.
Hope it helps to destress

Fastboot bootloop

I tried to flash MIUI global 12.0.7.0 through fastboot and now my phone just boots to fastboot, and recovery, which doesn't give me anything. Can't flash it through Mi Flash tool
So you have another time Mi recovery 3.0? Try to flash twrp recovery developed by geoanto555 (you can find here in XDA) and flash another rom. Also my mi 10 was bricked and I flashed MIUI 12.5 and now it's ok.. I think now there is the stable version too

OP7T ROM Installing Partition Error

After trying to install a custom ROM (PixelExperience for OnePlus 7T [hotdogb]) via fastboot, the installation flashing ended with errors with "no such partition" for odm, product and system I tried everything to get out of the fastboot screen loop. After finding a bat file with IMG files which got me on the Android 11 Beta 1. build (still no WiFi)
What can I do to fix the partition error to get on the Pixel Experience ROM or even get back to the stable build - I did try MSM but it isn't listing the phone even after pressing ENUM.
Please help...
Context (can skip): The latest stable build OOS for my 7T had issues with the microphone not working and so I decided to do a factory reset which resulted in having a clean install but now, WiFi doesn't connect for some reason. After trying some fixes I decided to install a custom ROM.
U need to flash stock recovery (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) as twrp prevents fastbootD entry. Then type fastboot reboot fastboot to enter fastbootD. Then flash your rom. Personally, I just flash roms via Chinese twrp or 3.5.10 twrp

that was my process for the first try - entered fastbootD for the flashing process which ended with the mentioned partition error and the fastboot loop. I realised that TWRP version I got from TOOL ALL IN ONE wasn't going to work as it couldn't access data no matter what.
No twrp can decrypt oos or a11 custom roms data. Chinese twrp can access data only on a10 custom roms if u remove screen lock before booting into twrp for backup
What do you reckon I try this time then?

How To Guide OrangeFox Recovery | UNOFFICIAL for Xiaomi 11T

1. Boot into fastboot mode. To do this, restart your device, then press the volume down key until the fastboot screen appears.
2. Connect your device to PC/laptop.
3. Now to install the recovery, enter "fastboot flash boot boot.img" or you can drag the image to cmd "fastboot flash boot (drag file)"
It is important to have your own boot.img, it does not load on all firmwares. To boot, you need to flash it in OrangeFoxboot to the boot section.
Does this work on android 12 (MIUI 13.0.5 global) ?

Hi guy,
I don't really understand what you mean ?? are you succeed in flashing Orange Recovery ?
What is OFRP-agate-boot-1.img ? Is it necessary to rename this file to "boot.img" and then flashing it via fastboot ?
To sum up, to install orange recovery, do I have to flash the file in the link via fastboot ?

I tried it like TWRP, but it only remains in the fox logo, not whether I'm skipping something or it's the IMG 1ue that doesn't work
